  1. Well what ever date is best for everyone. A Friday or Sunday night is probably best for me. How about Friday 13th April around 7. Will look for a suitable location if anyone has any ideas :)
  2. Get a Skyline you can't go wrong!! I love them cars there brilliant B)
  3. I'd write them a letter aswell mate if they've not done a very good job!! I hope you get this all soted soon it's a big pain when a car is playing up had this trouble with my last car. As for the performance of my IS it is really good between 90 and 130 in 6th so you shouldn't be struggling to get to 100 at all.
  4. Cars looking really nice and sounds nice!! B)
  5. Well done with the discount thats a brilliant result!! As for the DVD system I would wait until your sons a little older as previously said he won't fully enjoy just get a couple of books for now, cheaper!! :D
  6. Welcome back then it would seem :D Altezza was nice mate, but sure you'll find a new IS that you'll be really happy with!! Good luck and keep us posted on how the search goes. B)
  7. Hi all, I am not sure whether I am allowed to try and organise a meet or not my apologies if i'm not. I wasn't able to make the meet this weekend as working and not sure if i can make the meet on Fri 30th. I was going to see if anyone would like to have a meet around the Leicestershire area, obviously everyone is welcome and the more the merrier. If anyone is interested maybe we can sort something out. Hope i'm not going to get into trouble for this
  8. I'd take it and get the refund and the end of the day like said above thats all the garage will do, so it might aswell go to you :D
  9. I hope you manage to get it sorted without any problems. :D The insurance company may try and sneak there way out of it as it has been 3 months even if you have been away, they hate paying for things as it is!!! You should of gone after the person that hit your car and made them pay for it would of been quicker and easier than going through insurance, i hate the sodding companies :P
  10. Glad you managed to get it all sorted always nice to hear a problem fixed easily :D
  11. Sorry to hear about the lights mate hope you can get it sorted quickly
  12. Welcome to the LOC you'll fond us all a friendly and helpful bunch! Buying a Lexus will be one of the best things you can do when it comes to cars, there's not many faults as they are renowned for reliability and more toys that toys r us especially for your money!! :D I think you'll also have people give you more notice than in a rover 75 no offense meant. Look forward to hearing how the purchase goes and what you think when you can take the old girl out a bit further. Don't forget to get some pics up if and when you get it on the drive. Good luck mate. Also i phoned lexus up recently about service intervals and they said the cambelt is normally changed on the 60, 000 service. But i'm sure there's plenty of people on here who know what it is for certain. Cam belt change is only £200 at most. B)
  13. Welcome to LOC, car's looking good look forward to hearing of progress with other mod's!! B)
  14. I'm doing all I can to to help the global warming issue. I have planted four trees in my front garden - to offset my 'Carbon footprint' - whatever that is and now own a 'gas guzzling' LS400 4 litre V8 (22mpg which I think is not bad). If more people were like me we could soon get rid of that ozone layer, increase the greenhouse effect and have weather like Australia in the UK. That would also melt the polar ice caps so that the coast could move inland and I could live on a beach without moving house. I'm sorry for all you people who live in lowlands and valleys - you'll probably have to move house or buy boats. When Lexus build a comfortable electric car that can transport me around at 155mph (not that I've tried that officer - yet) maybe I'll join the clean/green brigade - 'till then I like my LS too much. Mick Lovin it and so true, i'm with you on that one!!
  15. I'd be interested in those details if you could mate. Adie, would you be interested in trying to get a meet sorted out around our area some time? I'm not far from Northampton, reason being i don't think i'm going to be able to make crewe meet, so thought of trying to organise one nearer to us for a different time. :D
  16. Looking good mate, bit of bling on the exhaust is always good B) What's next on the agenda then mod's wise?
  17. Alright mate cars looking good, the bloke who said that granite was blue was he on crack at the time??? You should be able to find a sport grille easily from most dealers if not as mentioned above speak to Chris at lexus hanley he's spot on. :D Look forward to seeing more pics.

Hi and welcome to the LOC as previously stated look forward to seeing some pic's any mod's planned B)
  19. I'm looking forward to seeing the PS3 and it's capabilities having owned a PS2 for many years. A friend has a 360 and they are good and you cannot beat Gears of war it is awesome!!! In single player, coop and online. I cant see though how to justify spending so much on a PS3 or any new console when you know that next year it will be half the price but that's just me. Wouldn't mind having a go on a wii though they look pretty good, kazi get it warmed up i'm on my way round :P
  20. I went to see it last night and had the exact same urge when i left the cinema!! I looked for the nearest burberry cap and a solid piece off wood but couldn't see either. It's a good film needed a bit more violence though to make it better. well worth watching! :D
  21. I wouldn't get an Alfa especially if your on a tight budget they are terrible on reliability. Audi's and BMW are normally pretty good only problem is the mileage will be above 100000 for less than £4k but they are built to last like lexus's. At the end of the day though mate it's your decision and entirely your choice unless you've got a missus then it's out of your hands anyway :P
  22. That's the spirit a bit of perseverance!!
  23. Like the new grille looks very swish B) Certainly moving quickly i must say and looking forward to seeing the carbon mod's under the bonnet. Hopefully see it at a meet as well always look better up close, thats something i learned about women don't judge until your close enough to get a good luck or you could regret getting her attention
  24. The reliability and value for money are major parts as to why Lexus has been succesful in building the such high raport that it has today. It is also nice when someone asks you what car you have and when you say Lexus there's not one person that isn't impressed. They also are such nice looking cars and fit in anywhere you take them. Everything has already been said that needs to be said, I suggest you buy one for your self! :D
