  1. Cheers everyone it's almost brought a tear to my (must be my age) I shall be on the beer a bit late not starting till 2.30! I shall do my best to get pictures if i can work the camera after a few bevvies
  2. Well.... i was at work the other day and someone said that they 'parped' their horn at someone. I then asked 'what the hell does that mean?' this is the word they use when they press there horn around Leicester way. Now me being a staffordshire lad had never heard that word used at all.....ever!! if i have to press my horn then i would say 'i beeped at him'. This got me thinking as to what everyone esle uses around the country and also is 'parped' a well used word and is it just me thats never heard it?? Another important thread started by me
  3. I would but i dont have any time during the day to go the post office to send it to you, unless your planning on getting it sent by fedex or ups to you then they can collect from wherever you choose (although not sure of costs)
  4. try something for me because it could be that your standby battery is so discharged its giving u the warning when u arm the car..... open the boot and put your head in the RH corner area now set the alarm for the car... if the pips are from that corner then your standby battery is dead. I wondered what you where going to say then ..... put your head in your boot and .................... (come on people fill in the blank)
  5. Hi Keith, sorry to see your selling mate i am in eaxctly the same boat apart from i've not sold mine yet! Like everyone says stick around, i am going to keep causing mischief on here even without my lex so i expect you to join me and do the same :D
  6. I agree with Rob, i was unaware of any factory alarm that made any beeping noises for the lexus. I would probably say that it has an aftermarket one if it is definately an alarm
  7. Cheers for that mike i will have a look at those. As soon as i've sold the car (which is easier said than done) i will get my DAS sorted!
  8. Just clrarifies what most people thought anyway to be honest!
  9. You could bid on it and win it, then if a member can then they could receive the money from you and go and pay for it. They could then sort shipment out with you. I would be suprised if someone would bid on it for you and win it due to the risk that they may buy it and you may change your mind (not saying that you will).
  10. I would have liked to have answered one's question but begrudgingly i must inform you that i cannot. I consulted one's oracle (wikipedia) but one's oracle could not shed any light on the matter, my deepest apologies
  11. I just want to learn to ride a geared bike before i go so i dont have to spend extra time doing the CBT. It is just a basic training, when they believe you will not be a danger to yourself or others on the road then you get your certificate
  12. Well there are about 150 miles between us.. so that might make it a little difficult... would be cheaper to do the CBT than to drive down lol Well if you go for a little bike ride and end up say at rutland water i could pop and say hello
  13. Yes but you have still had free choice .... you have just chosen the more self respecting, self reliant, socially respected route.
  14. Hello all, It is my 23rd birthday on Friday and i am heading into Nottingham for a night of fun and frollicks!! I was just putting it out there to see if anyone on the club wanted to come and join in the celebration for a few bevvies! There are 8 of us heading out into town and possibly meeting a few more in town, we are staying at the Britannia Notttingham which is £37 a night for a twin room. If anyone feels like coming along feel free and send me a PM and i'll give you my number. Cheers all
  15. I've said that for years, i've always been around bikes since the age of 12 and i also believe that you should pass your bike test and have a full bike license b4 being able to take your car test and you cant have one without the other.....there i've just cleared out roads of motorists and congestion Scorps for prime minister!!!!
  16. I'm suprised he let you get to the till, you know how he likes to take everything!
  17. Cheers everyone for all the responses I have no intentions of passing and then jumping onto anything over 500cc. I do and dont agree with the hp restrictions, i do as it probably will stop inexperienced people jumping straight on to something that they cant handle but then i dont agree as i believe you should have the choice. @TheDon - if you fancy teaching me how to ride a geared bike, that'd be great!
  18. Hopefully not very long, but it all depends on money really. @Chris - I have driven a twist and go before but never driven a geared bike, i have see Gilera DNA they're quite good. It's a shame you've not got a geared 125 to lend me
  19. I cant get a 500cc as i would only have my CBT for now and this would be a stop gap bewteen getting my full licence. That Yamaha is nice! Not keen on the Vespa's aaron but cheers
  20. I must admit i do like the Aprilla RS125, does look very nice. Also, has anyone heard of the Megelli Sport 125??
  21. I take it they just are a casing for the engine to stop any damage? How much are they? do you have to get them for the specific bike?
