I'm waiting for an email quote from them as we speak I'm currently insured with morethan, i went online and did a quote but it came out £200 more than they had quoted for my renewal!

I have tried confused, money supermarket, direct line, churchill all coming out the same or more! I am 23, live in rutland (probably the quietest place on earth) i have been quoted £797. I have tried the referrals department, they are the ones i spoke to when i first got my renewal

Well hello all, I am not too happy today!! I received my insurance renewal through the post last week and it was quoting more than i paid last year, even though i have another years no claims (now have full) and my accident back in 2003 has come off. So i rang them asking if they could do a better price and they gave me a new price but still about £3 more a month than last year. So i've done some ringing around and found it all to be around the same price or more. I then noticed that my insurance company give new customers a 10% discount, so i rang up and asked if i cancelled my policy and re did it could i have the 10% they said yes and starting to go through the motions to give me a new quote as a new customer. They then said as a new customer they couldnt cover me as the ratings on the car had no gone up to 27 (dont know what the hell that means or where that number comes from) and so they cannot offer a driver my age cover on the car! I was a little bit annoyed at this as they can offer me another year if i renew just not as a new driver! I am really :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: annoyed and just feel as though everything is just getting more and more expensive and have never had to pay more insurance when i have come to renew. I have no choice but to push harder to sell the car but suprise suprise the used car market is :tsktsk: and so i'm not getting a good price for my car and finding it hard to sell! I really hate working my arse off to pay for tax, insurance, tax, petrol, tax, and then getting taxed on my earnings!!! I could go on for hours about how people who abide by the rules are punished and how the greedy politicians line their pockets and who kick off a fuss if they cant have the John Lewis list for their expenses!!! I really am fuming, it's not very often i get annoyed and have a rant but i really have had enough today! I am still searching for a new policy and hopefully i can find somewhere cheaper so i can tell my existing insurer to stick it up their arse.

no offence if i was payin £1200 i would of not left the car with them without a courtesy car!! I would not have picked it up wothout it being valeted and had a nice bow wrapped round it!

Yeah just cambelt and tensioner, had it serviced earlier this year and couldnt afford cambelt at that time. 84Stoney - will wait and see your opinion of the blades

I have got the PIAA wipers at the minute and they have been brilliant for the last year but i dont really want to spend a huge amount on them, will have a look at these blades on ebay thanks guys. @Parthiban - my cambelt change cost £220 from lexus leicester, with the free visual check, valet. Was brilliant service and they have done a good job.

Hello all, Just picked the car up from the lexus garage after my cambelt change and a few things where noted that need sorting. Air con filter needs replacing, i will do this myself but where is the best place to get one and how much roughly? My wipers are split so need new blades, 2 new front tyres which i knew anyway. My auxillary belts are cracking but are ok for now, where can you get these from and roughly how much? My rear discs and pads will need changing soon also, so i will probably get these of ebay again as the mintex ones on the front have been fine. Thanks for any help

luv it T7RY B I am looking to cycle at work but i live 21 miles away and so it's not a quick simple cycle. I am going to go out an practice and build up my cycling stamina, so i can complete the trip in an hour. I will then hopefully cycle one way and possible come home on a motorbike!

I emailed lexus leicester telling them that hanley had quoted me £250 all in and lexus have said they will do it for £220 all in...... not a bad result!

That really is ugly!! Just bring out the IS with a hybrid engine and i'll be happy!

Lexus hanley quoted me £250 all included and Lexus Leicester wanted £350!

I am a huge GTR fan so would probably go with that although i if i had the money i'd have both.... just to be greedy!

Car looks really good but i think silver alloys would look better but thats only my opinion
