  1. What insurance group is your car in? I've been admiring the IS300 while looking for a new car and am plesently suprised that the tax and fuel economy don't differ much from the IS200
  2. Hi, just wondering how difficult it is to fit a new stero into the IS200? I was told it was a huge job and not really worth doing? Any advice?
  3. IS200 is definately the way to go mate :D If you can i would go for a sport model :D I'm in the middle of looking to biy my second sport :D Good luck and let us know how you get on
  4. thanks for the great comments :) Will hear today if i'm getting my new IS200 :D Will post pics of it when i do!
  5. I think that cause its their first diesel engine there was bound to be problems, i would probably go for a petrol as most Lexus owners will tell you they are reliable cars. The cost of diesel just now begs the question are you really better off getting one? Where i stay its 149.9 p/l. i'd say go for a petrol one :D
  6. Hello and welcome to the forum! Any luck finding the spoiler? you should get some picks of of your car :D
  7. Hi there Welcome to the forum! I have only owned one lexus, an IS200 sport. The car never gave me a minutes worry they really are built to last! I have driven the new IS220d and it was a lovely car to drive and looks great, it did feel quite big though, the seats are very comfortable and you have all the gadets you will need. I think its far better than the BMW. I would recommend watching the IS220 fifth gear review, i found it on youtube :D That might give you more info! The cars are built to last, not sure of the IS220d reliability but as far as i know my mate has had no problems over the 2 years hes owned his. Hope this helps a little!
  8. Would love a black one, although have to agree a white one would look pretty wicked!
  9. I totally agree with ya about the ford although the driver of it called my car 'over rated' and nothing special! :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:
  10. Good luck this weekend mate, all the best!
  11. I'm getting married in a few months and the misses will only have Lexus' for the Wedding Party! I've lined up an IS250, a mates IS200 and if i get my own Is200 then i'll use that aswell, they should all look good together :D
  12. Hi guys just wondering if any of you have leant out your pride an joy for a Wedding car? My brothers mate used mine last September after the bride fell in love with it. i have to admit it looked pretty good and theres a stunning photo of it in the Wedding album :D
  13. Gutted for you mate! Can't believe the cops won't help ya! Shocking! Hope the cars not a write off!
  14. i'm look at between 8,000 and 11,000, i've seen a few really good deals, currently negotiating prices for an 03 plate with under 30,000 on the clock
  15. Obviuosly the car isn't going to be that cheap to run but as said above you know that when you buy the car, or least if you do your homework you do I found that with mine the fuel consumption was very resonable, i do a 48 mile round trip to work everyday and the socail drving on top of that and i didn't find that the car was a that bad on the fuel. For what your getting to drve about it i would say that its well worth the money! B)
  16. Been looking at a few cars today and the prices seem to vary hugely! I saw one 03 with 45,000 on the clock going for around £12,00, what price should i be looking to pay for an 03?
  17. What a stunning car, well done Lexus! Think it'll be a few years before i can afford one of them tho!
  18. Hi there Just wondering if you got that car from Scotland? Looks like the one i had!
  19. Had a black one so looking for a different colour now. The grey is the darker one, haven't seen one with the aero package and 18s either so it was quite a find although i'm loving the blue colour, i think it stands out a lot more
  20. Thanks for all the nice comments, It was a stunning car, like i said i got engaged and needed to free up some cash for the big day, after 6 months without a lexus though i've decided i need another one :D The one i'm hoping to get should look even better than the black one Only bad thing about the black one was trying to keep it clean, was cleaning every night trying to keep the shine, lots of hard work but when you look at the pics it was time well spent! Getting a good bargin from the garage that has the car, trading 2 cars in for it, should hopefully get it in a couple of weeks
  21. I had a black IS and found near impossible to keep it looking clean! I found meguiars products to be the best, and the liquid clear wax gave the car a stunning shine
  22. I saw a nice platinum Ice one but the mileage was a bit too high compaired to the grey and the blue. Blue definaltey seems to be the colour to go for! :D
