  1. yeah so do i is that the silver you have? it looks very well though pal i wasnt a big fan of the silver from pics but when u see it in person it look 100 times better than a photo does the silver
  2. now that does look well!! im getting mine on the 19th same colour but with beige trim and MM what year is the car? as it does look well if i can get mine like that i would be chuffed to bits
  3. yeah im not sure if it will show the info (or really expecting it to) but because i have the adaptor already and the mk2 is cable is only £15 i think that even if it doesnt show the track info it would be a decent enough until funds permit then again we may all be suprised and it may show the info once i receive the lead and pick the 220 up on the 20th ill give it a blast and see where i get with it
  4. i hve just received a mail back from grom and they are interchangable depending on which version of the 2 you have and also if you have the correct version which is compatable with the 220 they also do the cable seperate if the one u have is different to ur head unit one i think what they mean is with the 200 there was the top loader and bottom loader HU which had different size ports on the back and im assuming the latter top loader is the compatable cable with the mk2 is will no more once iv had more of a chat but if it is possible to do it may well be a cheap solution for mk1 upgrade owners
  5. right guys i have taken the plunge and traded my 2002 auto nav is200 in for a 2006 is220d se+MM having read the forums and taken a test drive i actually like the way it drove! anyways back on topic i know the 220's now have a aux input but im not interested in this i was wondered if anyone had tried to use the is200 grom ipod interface with the 220 im unsure weather: 1. it will work 2. if i would need a different connector from grom to connect to the MM headunit or if they are still the same standard 3. i would need a new interface completely would be interesting to hear if any1 has tried this iv emailed grom but heard nothing back yet so thought i would post here
  6. If you give your local dealer a call and they can quote you. yeah i may have to do that although i dont have a lexus where i am its only toyota! hopefully cheeper! you dont happen to no the part number for cat in question do you and is it the whole TWC system?
  7. thanks guys sounds as if its going to cost me a fortune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is a little worrying for me at the moment so looks like after diagnosis the cars going to be stood for a while :-( is the manifold cat the more expensive of the 2 and IF it turns out to be something along the lines of whats being posted does anybody have a ballpark figure for parts on there own? cheers

  9. ecu has been reset this morning and i was back instantly the engine management light went off and is still off but the handbrake and trc off still flashing
  10. no not had anything done to the windscreen. i had a chip repaired about 18 months ago but thats about it.
  11. hi guys not been around for a while but have recently had my engine light come one then a week or so later the handbrake light illuminated and the TRC OFF light is flashing i had the code read as P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1) the code was then cleared and the engine light went off but the handbrake light stayed on and the TRC OFF continued to blink i had the code read before about six months ago when the management light kept coming on and going off which came back the with the P0420 reading and the mechanic said probs a dirty sensor but i never got round to changing it but this with the flashing trc off and handbrake light is worrying me i dont know if the engine light is connected to it or if this is a total different problem ive checked the usual brake fluid, pads and rear brake lights and all fine any ideas guys
  12. thanks for the replies guys i think i have narrowde down the possible causes. i have managed to do the exact same thing Imperial and i think that i have 3rd degree burns as well so this leads me to believe that a seized sticky caliper & pistons is the culprit as well as dodgy discs so fingers crossed it can be freed up and be problem free once again
  13. Well after saying accelerating iv found its when I'm cruising around 40 I'm hoping its not the flanges as that sounds expensive
  14. hi guys ive had a problem with the dreaded brake judder for a while now and finally got my bum into gear to get the discs done but i now have another problem which im in need of a bit of help on the possible cause right so i have juddering under braking which has now become unbearable so thats the first port of call i also now have a judder when im accelerating from say about 40mph and is really annoying both instances above only happen when the car is warm ie after driving ten mins or so any help much appreciated

  16. now its that time again to get a service done i seem to have lost/misplaced my service book can you get a replacement from the dealer and at what cost? i read that the dealer will re-stamp a new service book but i have also read that if i get a new one it will have duplicate written inside all the pages, is this true? thanks
  17. yeah i wouldnt say its 3 cycles but it will come on and go off ill get it sorted shortly and hopefully it will just be the sensor it wont have any averse effect will it if i leave it a while?
  18. rob how would i go about blowing it through from underneath and the second point i did see a few posts about the vents blowing different temps but they all seemed to be about blowing hot air one side and cold air the other apart from my above problem they seem to distribute warm/hot air the same
  19. iv had a few niggly problems for a while and decided its time to sort them all out and i have a really strange problem with my a/c the unit itself blows properly and temperatures are all correct with the temp dial the problems come when i turn th A/C button on first prob: the passanger side of the car blows really cold air as it should) but the drivers side is nowhere near as cold, so al the vents on the passanger side including the left hand cener vent are fine but the vents on the drivers side and the right center vent seem to have a problem that they dont blow nowhere near as cold second prob: if i keep the A/C button on and select a mid range temp say 24 on the dial after a while steam/smoke/mist (or whatever it is) blows from the center vents too not ure if both are relaed but with this one i dont know where to start so any help greatly appreciated
  20. yeah, ive tested with some fresh wire and the mirror works so i definately know that wire is broken somewhere between the drivers side and passenger side kick pannels if im not bypassing the 2 fuse boxes in the pannels its just a simple job of patching in the new wire right?
  21. hopefully its the 02 senser wouldnt fancy shelling out for a new cat is there a reason why it comes on and goes off by itself
  22. yeah i tried the other mirror it didnt work on that side refering to my ealier post regarding testing the passenger kick pannel and wine mirror connector block i have found that 1 of the wires (pink with black stripe) to no work so it mus be broken somewhere getting from the drivers side to the passengers side i have done a quick test bought some wire and hooken it up as a replacment pink black cable from the drivers door terminal to the wing mirror terminal on the passenger side thus bypassing the faulty area and the mirror works so now just need to get my soldering kit out and solder in the new wire and all should be good to go fingers X'd just need to find my dam'd service book now
  23. yeah, i put the mirror on the drivers side terminal which works and the mirror worked fine which would suggest the internals of the mirror are good
