the headlight on the like THIS theres no projector type infront off the bulb

oh right cheers!....another thing is that with newer' cars the hid light seems to be focused/enclosed(Like when the light comes out of a projector) - like in the pics on HERE where as on the IS theres no enclosure for the bulbs and it looks like the light is scatered within the headlight housing..like THIS and THIS ... so my question is, is there any way off makin the hid light on the IS more concentrated/ like a projector?....hope this makes sense

jus a quick question abt hid....with the is300 they came standard with hids' from factory, but the hid bulbs are they early gen versions - ONLY AROUND 400K...IS there any way off "upgrading" a hid bulb to a higher spec one? -also if yes what type do i get i.e fitment hb4 h7ect... Thanks!

i agree, the 3 litre drive train from the gs is just so smooth and is a excellent match in the IS300 for a family 'type' car........ive been thinkin of changing the IS, but when i get into other cars they jus dont feel right i.e power,handling and most importantly refinement....where as the 300 allways puts a smile on my face and is a pleasure to drive anytime.

fuel consumption is almost same as the is200...not much 'real world' mpg difference. to me personally the way the 300 drives is way different to the is200.....best if you test drive one first.

are they the same for the IS200 and IS300? thanks

the fitting was free for me as its my mates garage...but it only took abt a hour max to fit them. i'd guess any garage would charge no more than £50max to fit them....drop links were fine so saved a few quid there.

the arbs for 200 & 300 are the same....one of the best things u can do to ur IS!....for abt 2 yrs ive been toying with the idea off the ARBS, so a few days back on my way to work, i got so fed up with the body roll with the is, so as soon as i turned my pc on at work i got tdi's number and bought them there and then over the phone.

GOT THEM FITTED AT LAST!!!. All i can say is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW :D , takes a while to get used to goin around corners at such speed lol....but what an improvement....deff one of the best purchases EVER! Car feels so sharp, all round top class improvement.....hopefully when its been WIM'ed nxt week it will be even better as my front tyres are bald on the inside.

yea, i understand that and i prob would do the same if i was a small retailer- but he should of said in his listing. anyway dont matter now...got my TTE's goin on later today.

well i bought them off his ebay listing abiously thinkin he has them in stock, but after i contacted him he told me that he needs to order them from where ever he get them from and could not tell me how long it would take. So i asked for my money back and bought from tdi. If a seller is selling something, u assume he has it in stock ready to ship out....was not pleased!!

no, just got the standard lexus sport setup and now arbs. i want to lower the ride but on the other hand dont want to loose the comfort side....will look into lowering maybe in 2/3 months time...when bank ballance is looking right lol.

aztec - quick question.... how would you rate the tte arb...tried searchin the net for reviews but could not find any...hows the cornering with it....i know ill find out tomorrow but jus want some info.

Hi, recieved my TTE/Eibach arbs from TDi yesterday, and just wanted to ask, on one of the arbs it has a setting for stiffness, how do i know which setting/hole on the arb is for: stiff, stiffer or ave' it (lol) - u get my drift gettin it fitted tomorrow evening, so need to let mechanic know how stiff i want it - the arb that is. cheers!

hi, i have the same problem with my is300, ive changed the battery(from lexus) and bought the correct plugs, and i still have the same issue. only happens when engine is cold or left for more than 4/5 hours...once warm then no probs at all.

Hi, By the end of the year im thinkin of changing my IS300 to a newer car, the IS300 being a 3.0 straight 6 its not a slow vehicle, and allways puts a smile on my face when i floor it. im toying towards the is200d just on the basis of it being a diesel and the ability to 'Chip' the engine management to increase BHP and torque. Has anybody done this to there IS and what have to results been?..... i know the MPG issue on the is, but is not a issue for me as i dont do much motorway driving, even if i do my work gives me a company car to use. if the newer shape 3 series becomes cheaper & in my price range by then ill deff consider that over the IS, but for the moment its the IS for me as 2nd hand prices on the new 3 series coupe are nearer brand new prices.

Hi, Im going to drive to London tomorrow, and need some help if anyone can help. -does anybody know off a Tube station around london which has a car park, so i can park my car there for a few hours and then catch the tube into central London? Need to get to Harley St. and can get to london via M1 or M40 Cheers!

yeah, i got worried when i read your post, and rang them to make sure they were TTE arbs for a Lexus IS and to confirm order.

Well i bought a set of TTE ones fron TDI earlier today , they gave me a few quid off as it was there last set of TTE/Eibach ARBS. So im quite chuffed with myself & cant wait till nxt week to get them fitted. Cheers! :winky:
