  1. Make sure the fogs work as they should even when braking. :D
  2. If i was shelling out a load of cash for a car as i did, i would expect a full service history up to the point the warranty ran out, Neal no one is sticking the knife in.
  3. Im looking outside through the window and...........................nope i cant see it!! I was pulling your leg m8...calm down Granted yours is a new car but i bet i could find the sump plug once the covers are off in 10 seconds. Glad you got it sorted now :D
  4. As you are competant...finding a little ole drain plug wont be that hard, bad back or not! Just as a pointer (in case you get lost) i'd look around the sump area Whats the reg of the car so i know not to buy it when im looking for another car :P
  5. Im shocked (for once) by your response neal :o With regards to warranty as long as it serviced by a bonifide garage whos registered for VAT and the PARTS used for servicing are genuine parts then any claim under waranty has to be honoured by the dealership.
  6. I was always told never let the tank go lower than just under a 1/4 tank as petrol does break down/go off so keeping it filled with fresh clean petrol and keeping it nicely mixed up. You've probably just picked up a bit of crap in your tank as was said earlier. Fill it up and give it a blast. :D
  7. If you service it yourself and your NOT VAT registered it will void any warranty claims you may have in the future.
  8. If yours is a 200 i assume its a top loading CD? The 99 may be a bottom loader which means it wont fit.
  9. Its only a car.... Aint worth worrying about.
  10. Did/could you of possibly by accident switched off the T/C? I thought i remembered a recall of the early IS's for something but cant think what is was for.
  11. A garage will charge about £100-150.
  12. If you buy Dewalt from the U.S and it goes wrong no U.K service centre will touch them you'll have to send them back over the pond. Be warned!!!!!
  13. Just call the AA/RAC out and they will get in for you.
  14. Never had a clean license since a passed my test @ 18.......im 47 now. 3 points currently ;)
  15. They will issue you with a notice to get it put back to STD within 7 days and this must be verified by a MOT tester. Mine has been tinted for 5 yrs and have never been stopped nor has it failed an MOT, i think its aimed at the chav brigade.
  16. I tried to read it......but got to page 25 and lost intrest, (funny)....but now my eyes hurt. Did he sell it in the end?
  17. About a hundred quid from the dealer.
  18. Tony had a member come from Edinburgh the other week (i think)..first i would check the pressures forget what the dealer tells you its 35 PSI all round this may improve the rear end being a bit skittish, if that doesn't improve then its worth a trip Sth to see the Dr he can then give you settings you could take with you up to Scotland, there must be somewhere up there that can do geo, (dealers perhaps) and get them to adjust to the new settings from 2000 miles thereafter. :D
  19. Theres no reason for him to be a member.....hes all of the above plus more so why would he. People have asked me many a time to get the info but he said "if there are so called knowledgeable people here" (his words not mine) then it wont take them to long to figure it out......and here we are 3 years later and still waiting. Hes done 2 now with no problems and no stress on the winders....what can i say!!
