  1. Yes a good meet guys and girls. Nice to meet some more like minded people :) I take it the organiser will name & shame the restaraunt who would not serve us ..... and also the one that pulled the stops out to serve up 25 meals at that time on a Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon. A special thanks to Sarah ( aka Badger ) from the TOC for keeping me company for lunch :)
  2. Mer do a scratch remover for about £20 complete with a video I have only seen it for sale on sat. TV though. There is another product called GS27 ( H**f***s ) sell it ....... As with any product like this try it on a small unseen area first to make sure you are happy with the results.
  3. and the type and quality of surface .......
  4. There should be a sticker on either the passenger or driver door jam ( yhe bit you see when you open the door :) ).
  5. A slight aside .... I have an IS200 Sport with styling kit. The kit on the rear bumper covers up the nice chromed exhaust output. Does anybody know where you can get a slight extension to this to bring it back in view?
  6. Don't know about on a GS .... but on my non Lexus I have an aftermarket electric aerial. There are 3 wires plus the aerial coming from the aerial. One is earth, one is power ( should be fused ) and the other is a power supply from the aerial which triggeres when the radio is switched on ( or ignition is switched on and radio is already on ). Hope this helps.
  7. The only time I wanted to see him on my telly and Sky News were not there :(
  8. You mean the war planes use Lexus SatNav ? :)
  9. If it's a used one make sure the callipers aren't corroded.
  10. Jim ..... I have platinum ice sport + styling and painted mine red with black stickers ...... see this related post ..... callipers post
  11. Got 49694, thought I'd register it to see if I need to use two hands ...... highest scores are over 150,000 :( Bet they got shiny shoes ... or nice looking trainers ) :D
  12. Fitted mine this afternoon. Noticed that with the red / orange ring they were fitted with they were a bit loose. Tried the yellow one on the Lex buls ... but that was to big a diameter ..... so I have gone with the black ring as it gives a tighter fit ( and hopefully a damn good seal :) ). I fitted one first and shined the lights up the garage door ....... whoo hooo nice and bright and white :D
  13. There was a series of small scratches on the dash below passenger air bag - i reported it on handover. Having looked at it - it requires a complete dash top ( there are no joins ). With regards to dash finish as it is matt it tends to show marks fairly easy ..... has anybody found something useful to clean it with? Don't want to go and put silicone based product on it.
  14. I have told them I expect a new bumper to be supplied ..... or a complete respray. I will not accept a Paint Chips ( no offence ) type job on a new car. They must fix yours as well. As ( mine anyway ) is under the lacquer there can be no argument that it's anything you have done. I am getting a new dash and two new wheels also fitted next week, oh and the touch up paint supplied ... which was missing on handover. steve ( Administrator ) - will post a dealer review when I get the car back :)
  15. Recieved one pair this morning, thanks GRIM. I ordered to pairs ( dipped and main ) can you confirm that this was passed on to the suppliers please. Cheers.
  16. Here is a picture of some of the dull spots on my front bumper ....
  17. I have about five small matt finish areas on my 4 week old IS200 sport. It is going in for rectification on Monday and I have told them I want a new bumper ( not a patch job ) ..... I have took some picture before it goes in .... if they show the probs. I'll post them up here later.
  18. GRIM - spot on with your description. Been out again this morning and it does exactly what you say .... well I'll ask them about it when it goes in on Monday. I'll let you all know what they say.
  19. Hi v, mine changes OK ...... but sometimes feel likes the foot should be more on the floor ( or through it ) lol, but pick up in 3rd is particularly poor if you don't rev it up in 2nd.
  20. Come on guys ( & gals ) should the car do this ....... please .... ? It's due in Monday for some fixes and want to know whether to add this to the list.
  21. Hi .... had the IS200 four weeks now and at first I thought I wasn't doing the gear change right ( it's manual ) .... I noticed revs going up as I declutched. Took it out for a spin today and it was doing it again, thought it's not me. So watched rev counter as I dropped the clutch and foot off the accelerator first ... it definately goes up a few hundred rpm before it drops. Is this normal?
  22. GRIM - 2 questions 1). what's happening on these please? 2). is it true they are not UK legal and for off road use only?
  23. As long as you don't get the paint anywhere else ( like on the moving parts of the brakes ) Lexus can't possibly have any quibble with it, in fact it will save them money as they won't corrode :))
  24. Steve ( admin ) having worked in IT since leaving school I have suffered with it once about a year ago. It lasted about a month, found these pads you can get to put in front of the keyboard are helpful ..... also make sure kefboard is far enough away from edge of the desk that you are also resting on your arms. Another trip trying raising your mouse pad about 3/4 inch of the desk, it makes you support your arm on the desk. Alternative is to get somebody to do it for you :)
