  1. Zee, didnt see your fine chariot.. it was about 10:30 am on the road down from the M69 roundabout in Leicester, they were heading back into town. I believe the bright white car was infront and the Navy blue behind... both had sidelights and foggies on. I think the white one had a sticker down the side, alternatively it could have been mud ;) Looks like "sports" with blacked out windows
  2. Ditto.. "looks pretty sweet to me" (cartman 2001) :D
  3. "bows head in admiration" I am not worthy... I must research more You guys really know your stuff, I think I better read some books b4 turning up at your meets :(
  4. Hi Chaps, had a little drive... 250 mile round trip to Brum... passing through Leicester. I saw two "Lexi" is200's in convoy coming down from the M69/M1 round about. I tried to flash and be one of the boy's, but the barrier was too high. Go on, who were you (18th Jan - Sat).. Lee "black Lexus frantically waving to strangers"
  5. Hi Shadow, it maybe worth having a word with your local dealer, as they would more than likely have deliveries of this. They could perhaps then give you an idea/rough guestimate on tne weight according to delivery notes? Just a thought, seeing as most of the lad/ettes on here are more interested in "non standard" parts ;) -Lee
  6. Yeah I only use "recycle" when going through a smelly area ;) I think I will have a blast with some cold air-conn'd breeze.... Perhaps if I clean it one more time, then this will stop teh moister sticking... anyone used Fog-X its like Rain-X but for inside the car... -Lee
  7. Cheers Grim I knew that was coming... Oh well, one "breathless Lexus driver" coming up! :D So time to AutoGlym time... and try not to do anything with the screen, unless its being cleaned or de-misted. I guess its going to improve considerably in the summer, alternatively I let the Mrs drive me into work LMAO!!!!!! :hocus-pokus: Or a mask for me while driving, perhaps a helmet. "breathless in cambridge" Lee
  8. Doh... Umm, the air-con light isn't on though, and I always have the selector on the windscreen. Only when I depress the switch does the "air-con" light come on... "and it is strange why it only happens on the drivers side of the car..." Leaving the air-con permanently would my monthly fuel bills :( I will give it a try on the drive home tonight...
  9. Thnx for the swift reply So you think that the Aircon is the key.... I thought Aircon put moister back into the air? This would make it worse? The mist is staying there no matter what now... until I wipe it off with a cloth... I have seen a thread about heated window... is there something I am doing wrong, as I cant see where the controls are for the front screen...
  10. Hi chaps, I have a lexus is200 Sport (52 - 2002). Over the lovely winter months I have been using the aircon and the heater. Along with clearing the windshield it also made my body warm. Problem is now that there seems to be a build up of very light mist on the drivers side only on the front screen (forward facing window). The heater takes off the "over night" residue, but I can not seem to get rid of the seemingly light cover of mist. I have used a cloth before to remove it, and that works, until the next morning. It is on the inside of the glass, obviously, and now I am seeing condensation dribbles from teh top of the screen. Funnyly it only happens on the drivers side.... I have even let the Mrs drive the car, just to see if its my breathing that is causing it :D It is mostly seen at night when on comming cars shine into the cabin. Is there anything I am doing wrong? TIA Lee
  11. Apparently there are about 16 types of rear view mirror... all different options with it There was me thinking it was only a piece of reflective glass! I am awaiting the UK dealer to come back to me with part No's and prices ======== What mark up are the prices normally like when you go through a main dealer compared with "bobbies bits"? -Lee
  12. The cheque was posted this morning... gold here I come ;-)
  13. Cool, the main reason I asked was to side step into finding a dealer that does the is200 rear view mirrors seeing as they are the "special photochromatic glass" I am assuming that all is300's have such glass in their rear view and side mirrors? TIA Lee
  14. Hi chaps, being V new to moddin the is200, I was wondering... can the "exterior parts" of the is300 be matched (same size and fittings) as the is200. As far as I understand the cars only differ in engine specs If that is the case... has anyone had any thing to do with this site: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/lexusparts/is300.html -Lee
  15. As far as I am aware Lexus dont do anything "extravagant" with the audio feeds... "fairly standard".. Just make sure the speakers are adjusting according to the changes on the head unit.. fade etc.. otherwise woulds like you have some duff speakers there mate -Lee
  16. Hi Kevin, welcome m8... what "upgrade did you go for" Lee
  17. ARU - armed responce units... I thought they dealt with such problems... I think police sould be atleast "bullet proofed" and perhaps hand guns... but as long as they were not given to women PMT and all ;-) Depends on situ I guess... A random traffic stop would not require a weapon, but if they were chasing a know criminal they would arm-up accordingly
  18. Umm, unless the clutch plate/flywheel only works efficiently once it is warmed up... perhaps a problem with gear box oil and its viscosity? Wonder if the grade of oil makes a difference in the gearbox.... Perhaps TDI could tell us if anything alse is changed (gearbox/transmission wise) when the S/C is fitted? -Lee
  19. that one of yours or one from the car? ... or is it donk - by name by nature :D Lets hope it wasnt the screw holding the horizontal spoungy flange to the amplification cross member ;)
  20. Cant say whos network they run on... "wink" run away... you aint seen me .... right
  21. Ur lucky if there is a BT ADSL exchange in your area... what I wouldnt give to live somewhere popular :(
  22. Mine seems to be a little intermitant.... sometimes it is knotchy.. other times it slips in easier than... "have it" Along with that... it the movement of the stick supposed to be heard outside the car.. like a movement of metal.. not grinding though - Lee
  23. If they are vigulant with scanning your HDD then use trillian to disguise it... trillian will let you launch yahoo, msn, icq all through the same portal and port hole -Lee
  24. Claire, ur such a stickler for the rules.... yeah they can log virtually anything now.. and it aint going to help your already bad work profile
