  1. There are a few funny names in our staff directory. As a world wide company, you come across all kinds of names...here are some which tickle my sense of humour...these are 100% real and how they are spelt: Tinboat Arselanook Chuck Jobs Norbert Doodaa Bert Areola Plypol Bumroongpreecha ...tee hee!! Oh and for original surnames mine must be good.... Fever!
  2. The clutch pedal in my IS has developed a creek/stiffness that I can feel in my foot when I drpress the pedal. You can hear it a bit when the stereo is off. I'm guessing that the spring may just need some lubrication...is that possible?? If so what would you guys recommend, I would think of WD40 as more of a temporary fix...so what would be the best thing to use? Cheers - Neil :)
  3. Derrrr :P ...no engine swaps...so you don't count...so :P
  4. :) ..Well...I'm running about 240BHP and somewhere in the region of 220lbs/ft of torque! :D Perhaps not the fastest IS200...but maybe one of the quickest while using the TTE S/C???....What do you reckon? :D
  5. I'm gonna be different... :D Option 1 then 2...or maybe option 2 then option 1...either way I like those!! ...trust me...option 2 would look well hot on a modded IS!! I have great vision for these things! :P ...wheres one of the photo shop boys when you need em...put option 2 on an IS!!
  6. NOOOOO....Marcus please don't buy that bumper for your car!! It's terrible!! The skirts are ok but the bumper...hell no!!! I can understand what with the intercooler and all....but really no!!! ....lol...there was me thinking that you were a man with taste!! :P
  7. yep...the horrible world of 'pad slap', sounds horrible doesn't it...make sure the tension springs that hold the pads in the caliper are really tight when the new pads are fitted!....Oh and a good helping of copper slip as well!
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY you old git!! See you soon buuuuddy!!
  9. Nice review Alex!! Car is looking mint now! :) Purvesh...spoke to Minesh today, gonna be popping over to Xclusive this week for a quote on some long over due repairs! Nice guy..very helpful!! Youg onna be in the area??
  10. My facts are right when I say a supermarket car park is not public highway despite you talking about road traffic law. If you read my previous posts I have said its not ok to do donuts in car parks or where it is a danger to the public. Do not bother to apologise about getting your facts wrong as it is not necessary as I feel I have made my point. Pulling donuts in a car park will get you arrested or in trouble with the law....therefore it is against the law....which means, regardless of your opinions....IT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE TO DISCUSS THIS ON THE PUBLIC FORUMS!!!! So please don't pi$$ off other members by being petty about whether or not mods have the right to lock/delete such topics!! Your point in all of this is obviously to stir things up...otherwise, if it wasn't, you would have just kept quiet! Frankly, it's this kind of attitude and small mindedness that brings LOC down....so either post your thoughts in GOLD or take your opinions elsewhere...oh and thats from a non-moderator because it's pi$$ing me off too!!!
  11. Not totally true...Scorpion, an ex-member of the club broke a standard set and black set of headlights apart and mated the electronic headlight adjusters to the black inner casing! ;) They worked perfectly...while they were open, he also took out the orange indicator lense and got some sliver blubs that flash orange to finish the job! :)
  12. I think you will be suprised ................. :D Do we have graphs and figures now then???? yes, there will be graphs and figures, before and after! ;)
  13. WOAH!!! I like that lots!!!! Glad to see you took my advise on colour of the induction pipe...it's not red but i guess black will do!!! :P
  14. Thats a good deal!! I'm 25, 6 years no claims....Norwich Union wanted £1400 on renewal (all mods included S/C, bodykit, coilovers, exhaust, etc). Spoke to Adrian Flux and they have set me up with a year at £800! :D Well chuffed!!!
  15. Nice one mate...thank you for the review! Sounds rather smart...do you need to buy new discs for it..?? How does it get updated with road changes etc..?
  16. I know...but I just gave up on that idea a while ago! Besides, the Kenwood Double-DIN headunit I have plays CD's, MP3's and DVD's...plus I can cut MPG's, AVI's, WMA's etc onto DVD or CD and play them and so the only thing missing for me is Satnav! I didn't really see much point in building a car PC just for that! Are there any other Satnav units, I could look at, which would just plug straight into the output/input connectors on my headunit?
  17. Yeah i agree...I know it's a lot which is why i'm undecided really....I actually found one for £450, which is a bit better! Is there another option I could look into?
  18. Ok....as some may already know, I have the Kenwood DDX 6027 Double Din, screen, DVD, all singing all dancing head unit jobby in my IS. :D They also do a Satnav add-on box for this headunit and I've found one for sale on e-bay. Please could some of the ICE/Car audio/Satnav guru's have a look at the spec of the unit in the link below and let me know if it's any good? ebay linky I know there are shed loads of Satnav units out there these days...but basically, for the price, is this unit worth it? Also, are there any other options (cheaper) that I could explore? I have loads and loads of connectors in the back of my headunit so there might be a better option...trouble is I have no idea what I should be looking for! :D Thanks in advance - Neil :)
  19. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AM! Hope you have a great day buddy!! :D
  20. ehem....all show and seriously no go!! ....
  21. Interesting...still 15bhp is better than nothing...and a small increase like that would be safe as well!
  22. Yeah, can appreciate that barrie....so standard pulley is 130mm....and TTE tested a 140mm pulley (slight increase). Any idea what that would change the boost to? Also with some expert mapping, I reckon you could get away with handling the 140mm pulley on the standard fuelling system! 140mm can't be a massive boost increase, from the current 0.3bar...surely?
  23. Haven't liked the new IS much since it's release...seeing them in the flesh on the road changed my mind a bit...seeing the first black one on the road today and I have to say I'm in love!!! :D Black, Black, Black...for sure! :D .....then tint the windows, drop it and wack some 20's on (should be no problem for the new IS) and that would be perfect in my eyes!! ...no bodykit needed either, it would spoil the lines...hehe, I'm starting to sound like Am here!! Sorry, gone off topic a bit there! So to say it again ASTRAL BLACK for sure! :D
