  1. Of course I am :P Lots of pressies, gave him the day off and off to see Little Britain tonight :D And to top it all Daughter passed her driving test this morning too (though not sure another one on the roads is good news ) Oh man....jealous or what...what a top chick you are!! Barrie can we share Janey for when it's my birthday..!!!
  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY mate....hope Janey's looking after you today!! :D
  3. And wait and wait and wait ........ (you get the idea) I've been told 2 weeks maximum... after I've told them of my displeasure of waiting but I've still got an MOT to sort and some other little goodies to be fitted before I can map.. Oh and there is the small matter of running the engine in too (been told around 500 miles should be ok...Does this sound about right??). Never really understood why people advise "running in" an engine and I know that people have different schools of thought on this...it's just that I can't imagine Lexus running the engines in on every single new car for 500 miles or more under varying throttle and driving circumstances! ...that would just be silly! I would say get in the car and drive in normally, don't go crazy, just drive it like you would if you'd bought a new car....but then at the end of the day its how your going feel comfortable mate!! Nice to see its nearly ready!! Looking forward to this one!! :)
  4. These were reviewed a while back Bernard...bottom line is they aren't worth the space they take up in your engine bay!! ....tried to look for the old thread about these but couldn't find it!
  5. NO YOU CAN NOT - IT IS A SPECIAL SECURITY BIT AND YOU CANT GET THEM FROM A DIY SHOP. CUT A SLOT IN THE SCREW AND USE A NORMAL SCREWDRIVER Rob is correct here i'm afraid!! I searched everywhere for this bit...and I mean everywhere, in the end I ordered one from a friend who works for Snap-On...even he said they are as rare as rocking horse poop!! As for fitting the S/C, with a spare pair of hands and no instruction manual it took me about 7 hours! Make sure you have also have a basic tool collection to hand...socket sets, alan keys, pliers, some heavy duty cutters or a junior hacksaw and a hammer...hammer helps when you skin your knuckles!!
  6. Nice one mate!!! :) ...looks loverly!! :) ..but you better get that mini off the drive before Sunday...I ain't parking on the road!!
  7. Totally awesome F1 driver and without a doubt one of if not the best ever.....but a boring personality and a bad sportsman....really not bothered that he's gone! On another note did any of you see Raikkonen make his comment to Martin Brundell in the pit lane on ITV??!! Brundell was doing his usual interviews pre-race and walking down to Schumachers end as Pele was about to give him a trophy of some sort! Raikkonen was leaning on the wall and Brundell asked what was going on and Raikkonen replied "I don't know, I've just had a $hit"!!....Oh man i Pi$$ed my pants laughing...LIVE on ITV...brilliant!!! I think what made it funnier is the fact that Raikkonen is just so straight and boring!! That must be on youtube or something like that by now!!
  8. Sounds very nice indeed..like you I love the pulling power of cars like that!! But pretty much like everyone has said I'm not so impressed with the EVO looks these days! My mate at work has just put the finishing touches to his Supra and he took me out for a spin in it the other day!! 550BHP, 510lbs/ft Tourque, launch control, anti lag...now 'thats' a scary combination when your a passenger!! :o :o ...new cams, more boost and engine work to run an 8000RPM redline are also on the way!!
  9. Whilst 20" Rims and NOS sound great (not sure about the flames bit).... ...the car in question looks ghey!!! IMHO!!! You can't seriously be thinking about buying that!!?? I used to think owning a Lexus ment you had taste!! :P

    Gauge Holder

It's OK Gord...I think Dave's a big enough boy to stand up for his opinions by himself.....!! Am, i'll give you £80 to knock me up a gauge pod!! .... £40 for parts and £40 for you time! Tell you what I'd love to be able to have good fabricating skills like that...nuff respect to people who can do those kinda things!!
  11. I pay £800 for mine with all my mods declared....S/C, exhaust, coilovers, bodykit, rims...etc etc and thats with Adrian Flux. When I was getting the quote I asked about whether it would be worth having my dad on the policy and he checked with and without for me...turned out cheaper to have the policy on my own...just be upfront and ask which will work out cheaper, your not doing anything illegal in that respect!
  12. hmmm...maybe not then...slightly different shade of grey!
  13. I think it might actually 'be' the old Nemesis show car..the one that first had the kit fitted to it for them to show off....looks just like the one me and Chris Shipley saw at Max Power a few years ago...same colour, just minus the graphics and ghey spoiler it used to have on the boot!! >>> edit: look at the top of the windscreen on the first piccy!
  14. Yeah...but i'd rather talk to him about this first before just handing out his number!
  15. Yep, thats the guy mate...I haven't been over to check out the WIM forum yet! I doubt he does them anymore either...but so far he's the only one who's actually figured out how to do it properly!!
  16. 190cm....Athletic.. ...Mat your not supposed to lie on these things!!
  17. There used to be a guy on the club who created a full closure system! This one controlled everything though...windows, mirrors, s/roof...it was well trick! What Prolex offer is the closest there has been...but it's a shame the guy who designed the full closure never sold on the way to do it!!
  18. Ello Everyone:) , Right, I'm currently trying to get my hands on a Ugo roof spoiler for the IS200 and was wondering if you peeps knew the best place to go, i.e. cheapest and quickest supplier. Cheers - Neil :)
  19. yes mate and it's still supercharged, still running the standard boost (0.3bar) and I've got about 195RWHP, which is roughly 240bhp in pub language! :D yeah i hope so! :D no worries ...just as long as you didn't look in the boot...i've seen tidyer skips!!
  20. I'm sorry to re-opened this subject and if the mods feel that it needs to be closed, please go ahead and do so, but I feel I need to add my input and never had the chance before the original thread was closed... I would like to highlight the post from Gord below and add my own comments... ...Right, my car has been used for R&D and as a test bed for various products that TDi now offer for the IS200...so in this debate I have a lot of first hand knowledge and experience! The first thing I worked on with Mark was the TDi manifold, after all the R&D I drove my car for a week with the manifold fitted, at that time I also had the TTE supercharger and induction kit. The car ran badly due to being under fuelled...this is a fact and I can confirm this because I was driving the car around!! At low acceleration/RPM's the car was ok, but if I floored it or stretched the rev's the fuelling couldn't keep up! ...so the standard fueling setup is not good enough for IS200's running a S/C, manifold and induction kit...FACT! During this week Mark was sourcing uprated injectors as I'd agreed that I would continue working with him to get the car running right! My car went back to TDi, the injectors were fitted and an HKS SZ ECU was used...as a result, plain and simple, the car ran great and pulled like a train! Then the car went back and had the FCON VPro fitted...for future plans! As I explained some cold start issues were encountered so the car went back and Mark sorted them! Basically, my car is currently on my driveway as we speak and it starts, runs and drives perfectly!! Thoughtout working with Mark I have seen all dyno results and R&D work findings...what I have experienced is fact not my opinions!! People are always intitled to their own opinions, but if you have no R&D or test results against the different options that are available, you can't tell someone that they are right or wrong!! TDi are one of the top Japanese car modifiers in the country and they didn't get there by doing things wrong!! Mark and the guys at TDi have been excellent and the work they have carried out on my car has been first class, I couldn't be happier!! ...on a different note and @ Marcus and Gord, since both of you are the most negative with your thoughts on this subject, I was wondering if you have ever had any work done on your cars by TDi??
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY!!! Where ever you are mate...hope your ok and having a nice day!! :)
  22. Drive past a car wash and get it cleaned and hoovered out while your at it!!!
  23. Yeah i've got these on my car...not bad at all I must say, good in the wet and they have a mean tread pattern!!
  24. I agree with whats been said...if someone has the guts to go out alone and form a company which turns into a respectable profitable business, that in turn produces a good product/service, then more power to them. Like Ian said, good luck tho them and they deserve all they get! One thing in this country that really makes me mad is the people who do well are punished more (in terms of taxes and deductions). You work your life trying to achieve for yourself/family and improve your quality of life...and in turn your pay cheque gets slammed hard to provide the bone idle no hopers with cushy mobiles phones and free houses!! :tsktsk: :tsktsk: ...oh man don't get me started!! It's all wrong i'm affraid!!
  25. How about that guy from American Idol...the one who hosts the show... Ryan Seacrest ....what a bell end!
