  1. ...and an email in my inbox from Dave alerting me to this and so am I...very shocked!!! oh and p.s. hi everyone!
  2. So am I.....well for a while! :)
  3. Thats fantastic mate!!! Thank you very much for the links...really apprecited!!! Long time no see by the way dude....hope your well and not still driving that ghay B*W!!
  4. Thanks guys...got my weekend planned out now then!
  5. They are NOT Hi-Spec but Rotora They are NOT anything whatsoever to do with the BBK I am now selling They were the only set brought over as the shipping cost made them uneconomic to sell. For the record hey were bought by Fargo in 2004 and as far as I'm aware were not warped when sold to you. How installed them ? Ok thank you for clearing that up for me Dave....glad it's not the kit that you are selling now!!! To answer your questions, they have been on my car for less than 1000 miles and I let Paul know that they were warped shortly after we fitted them...I have been on the search for new discs since then!! I'll send the old ones to you if you like mate and you can see how badly and unevenly they have worn!!
  6. Cheers Rob...will definitely look into that!! Any other suggestions will be most welcome!! Cheers :)
  7. Thanks Am...will give them a try too!
  8. Thanks for the reply Rob...hmm...if I remember rightly the tensioner did seem to have a bit of play in it! Do you think TTE could hook me up with a new one? I guess the way I see it is that the vibrations are sent through the charger which is in turn bolted to the engine of course....I'm guessing it could start off small where ever the problem may be, but just ends up getting amplified by the time I get to feel it!
  9. I've currently got 330mm brake discs fitted to my IS200...I did a swap with Paul (Fargo) from his IS300 and they are part of the big brake kit sold by Prolex! Basically they are shagged and badly warped!! I've been trying my best to find a set of 330mm discs but I'm not having much luck! The discs used in the kit are Hi-Spec, so I could go back to them...but a lot of people have voiced their opinions on Hi-Spec being pretty naff!! Can anyone here think of a place that I could get 330mm discs from? I have tried DBA, Brembo and Stoptec but no luck there! Also the other option might be AP...but they turn out to be very pricey!!!! Grateful for any advise!! Cheers - Neil :)
  10. Ok, I've got a problem with my IS200 thats been going on for a while now and I need to get it sorted once and for all...lets see what you guys think!! At 2500rpm I get a vibration running through the car...any gear, any speed as long as the rpms stay at 2500. Below and above that figure the car is fine....the vibrations can also be felt through decceleration. It also happens when the car is stationary and out of gear, which rules out most of the serious things!! Now as most will know the S/C pulley is bolted to the water pump, mine was shagged so I got TDi to replace the water pump for me...this reduced the vibrations a lot, but it didn't get rid of them completely!! I have also replaced the pulley itself but that hasn't helped much either!! Now comes the fun part, if you take the S/C belt off and rev the engine, nothing at all...the rise and fall of the rpms are perfect!! So my S/C was swapped for a new one just to test...this still had no effect on the vibrations so that also rules out the need for a new S/C unit!! What could be left to check??? I've been racking my brains but need some input now from people that know the engine setup a bit better!! Thanks in advance!! Neil :)
  11. nope, your name is Mat, and your a big scarey monster Haha...everyones a big scary monster to you mate!! :P Fever...cause thats my surname!! :D
  12. are you 100% sure Gord?? I say because i have spoken with Gerald at TTE ( the head engine guy) at some length about the SC setup etc ( gave me the size of the larger pully they tried also) and he has mentioned that the injectors are running at virtually the max cycle anyway. If you wanting about 250bhp or upto 0.5 bar Rob, then yes, 3/4 turbo cars running about that with standard injectors. ok was :D Injectors dont cost that much, about £60-£70 each :o its the setting up that cost's more :winky: Surely they must have uprated ECU's and some sort of other fueling delivery uprgrades??
  13. No, the Camcon wouldn't be able to handle an extra 0.2bar increase on the charger! Realistically, neither will the standard injectors!! Besides, it's not just the fueling that you would need to adjust!
  14. If you can afford it, get the front face of the rim diamond cut....looks the business!!!
  15. afaik 0,3 is safe (according to TTE), at 0,6 there's been conrod breaking (maybe due to a little overboost to 0,7) so I think playin in the area of 0,4/0,5 should keep you going for a while. Of course lower=safer, anything added to the standard configuration increase the risk of breaking something... There can be lots of other factors to a conrod breaking...not just boost levels...think about how cold the engine operates, how cold the air entering the engine is, restrictions in the exhaust system equalling extra back pressure....etc As long as everything is designed well and you have good fuelling supply and management and cooling is taken care of as well then I think you'd run 0.5bar with the S/C on the standard engine with no problems....in fact this time next week I will be!! :winky:
  16. I love these kind of aviation news stories....don't expect seeing anything like this in the air anytime within the next 20 years!! Also Boeing haven't ditched the 747-X as the story tells...they have already published it as the 747-800 and it will be flying very soon!! They have quite a few orders in for it already too!!
  17. Excellent work my man!! Looking great!! Your at about the same stage as me now...I'm gonna go for the new TDi intercooler at some point as well!!
  18. Never stopped to think about my mods actually....so i'll list em now!! :) TTE Supercharger TDi/HKS Induction kit TDi Carbon fibre cold air feed/box TDi Katana Manifold HKS Silent HiPower rear muffler Larger Injectors Camcon HKS Fcon VPro HKS SSQV BOV HKS Surefire Sparkplugs Mocal Oil cooler TRD Quickshift Uprated Clutch TTE Coilovers Supra Big Brake conversion (fronts) DBA slotted rear discs and mintex pads 18" Dare V2 alloys Debadged Tints all round TRD rear bumper skirt TRD sidskirts LED rear light clusters JDM Black headlights with indicator lense removed Short antenna LS430 clear side repeaters Private plates Boost Gauge DVD double DIN headunit Tracker with remote cutout and tilt sensors ...lol...not really standard anymore!! :D
  19. Nice one my man!!! :) Looks excellent, well pleased for you mate!! First things first...take the rims off...you can't be trusted with them!! Secondly, I'll come over and show you how to wash it!! And thirdly, when am I gonna be able to drive it!! :D
  20. Well a while back TTE experimented with a different pulley to see if the S/C kit could be sold to provided 0.4bar (I believe) of boost as standard, instead of the current 0.3bar that they kick out now! Basically they cancelled this option and stuck with the 0.3bar of boost as they hit fueling issues!! They stated that the standard fueling setup of an IS200 wouldn't be sufficent to run anymore than 0.3bar and even then it was on it's limits!! So in a nutshell if you 'whack' on a bigger intercooler and its any good at the job it's supposed to be doing, then you won't need to take your car to a tuner to find out if it's running lean!! You will know right away!! Therefore, say you take the TDi intercooler and it does up the boost to 0.45bar as claimed, then your going to have a problem...period!! If you put on a cheaper 'bling' option it may help get the air a bit cooler but then again it may not....my guess would be it will just make you loose performance!! Just for an example I know a guy who builds and races Supras...he currently has one running 520bhp and 510lbs/ft of tourque at 1.4bar of boost and all that through a standard smaller side mount intercooler!! Big is not always better....unless its been designed to work well with the right setup!!!
  21. Completely understand dude...sorry for appearing negative mate!! Just hope that I don't slip up and hıt any curbs!!!
  22. www.wheelrefurbishing.com Brilliant service and fantastıc work...well chuffed with what they did on mine!! Highly recommended!!!
  23. Mr Singh, member on here, has a Blitz S/C'ed RS200....powerful and insane amounts of tourque by all accounts!!
  24. They look nice mate, but I paid 200 quid to get 4 18" alloys stripped down and repaired after curb damage, repainted in a hyper black style finish, the tires put back on and all fully balanced!! Plus the work done was fırst class and to top it all off they were picked up and dropped off at my house free of charge!! www.wheelrefurbishing.com Highly recommended by me!! Surely it's worth paying a bit more for a pucka lasting job!
  25. Come off it....Ahmet doesn't get paid enough!!
