  6. I am swapping my 03 IS200 Sportcross for a 03 RX300SE-l at the weekend, it is the same age as my IS and therefore has the same level of warranty remaining. I am considering an extended warranty, does anybody have any opinion on Lexus offering or 3rd party. Thanks
  7. I have heard a rumour from the BBC tells me that "Mr Clarkson is preparing to slate the new IS"
  8. I am experiencing vibration through my steering wheel and the rest of the car at speed between 70 - 80, my tyres are all at 33psi, only thing that has changed recently is I have had a puncture repaired on rear drivers side, all tyres are factory fit Potenza, has anybody any ideas as to possible problem. Thanks
  9. Yep, Same dealer, says he is giving me the max on it, just like a second opinion especially when looking at shelling out £36K on a 04 RX300.
  10. Looking to change my IS200 Sportcross, July 03, 27K mileage 17" alloys, for a RX300SE-L, Dealer has offered me 14K on a trade in, feel a bit let down, I thought it would be worth a bit more as it is in V good nick. Anybody offer any thoughts on a value or am I being to greedy. Thanks
  11. With the release of the RX400 does anybody have any opinion on how this will effect the residual values of the RX300
  12. The answer is, although exspensive, fit winter tyres, the standard tyres fitted to IS 200 are no good in snow or ice.
  13. Just changing the rubber blade sounds the best option, how easy is it and what will my dealer charge me for them?. Thanks
  14. Does anybody know if you can obtain an aftermarket rear wiper for the SC, or does this have to come from my dealer, dont seem to able to find one anywhere. Thanks
  15. Having found 2 dents on my bonnet and been told by dentwizard that I need to have them filled and a complete bonnet re spray. Does anybody know of a good bodyshop in the Leeds area.
  16. Would it be possible to purchase HID lights as fitted to IS200LE and have them fitted to my 2003 Sportcross. I think I would have to buy the full headlamp unit. If yes, anybody know the price or part number. Many thanks
  17. Tyres, Tyres, Tyres, a friend of mine has an IS200 in Oslo and I can tell you it handles great but he does have pigs in the belt (studs)
  18. Good luck guys, as Dell Boy would say "He Who Dares". Would you be considering proffesional valeting and detailing as per the type of companys in the States.
  19. I have used the Britax Freeway, £80 from Toys * **, this fits fine, I have had it in the 200SE and now in Sportcross, the secret to a tight fit is to pull the seat belt out all the way until the ratchet engages, then put downward pressure on the seat with your knee (not whilst child is in it), pull the strap as tight as possible and engage the strap lock on the seat, I can ensure you if you do this the seat is secure and is going know where. With regards to ISO Fix, I spoke to Britax and the latest ISO fix car seat is compatible and approved but for £250 quid seems an awful lot when there are others that are just as secure. Britax web site has all the contact details and they are really helpful.
  20. Talk to the JDMparts guru, I am currently waiting on the New 2004 version plus a couple of other bits, this version is now fitted in all 2004 IS's much better than old level, very similer in design to the Sat-Nav unit without the screen. Thats the one, awaiting Chris Shipley to come back to me.
  21. we had a discussion about this a while ago - there were quite a few of us who wished we had American style detailing companies. I know for a fact I would drop the money on a decent job along the lines the US guys get. Sounds like an opportunity for a business, what do we all think.
