  4. Downloaded fine, what can I say , bloomin excellent, this guy really knows his stuff.
  5. Can anybody explain, the following. When driving in a perfectly straight line my steering wheel is out of alingment to the right by about 1inch, can anybody explain what the problem is.
  6. Fancy a change mainly because after been stolen and then recovered I do not want my old motor knowing that some scumbag has thrashed the bl**dy thing and also having a young child I think it may be more practical.
  7. Don't they only sell the IS200 Sportcross with naff 16" wheels? Wheels not a problem, I have managed to get them to provide with 17" SE wheels.
  8. Following my recent incident with car thieves I am considering moving from my IS200SE when returned from repair, into a Sportcross, how does this model compare. I know that they are identical in everything except body shape but some input from owners would help, plus how do they stand in the second hand market. Cheers
  9. I think you have hit the nail on the head, I was told by more than one insurance company that the deciding factor is post code.
  10. Sorry to hear about the prang, hope you and the motor recover soon. I had my motor nicked and recovered in November, with Lexus as we speak and I must admit Tesco / Direct Line have been spot on. Although I will be interested to see the increase in my premium come renewal :duh: :o
  11. Great idea, mite even get Mr Linekar there. :winky:
  12. Many thanks to all of you who have made comment. Just to bring you up to date, I have seen the car and there is no real damage except to the stero unit that the w******* have tried to remove, some slight damage to one alloy and cut tyre wall, other than that nothing visible, dont know what state the engine and suspension is in after they have driven it. Other main problem is that there is a key in some scrotebags possesion and the insurance company need to understand that they cannot just change the locks. Car minus child seat, pushchair and about £300 worth of cd,s. I suppose it could have been a lot worse. Again many thanks to all of you that passed messages of support. Chris
  13. What is the best way of having this assesed, can I ask for a Lexus dealer to give it the once over, and would the insurance company agree.
  14. Cheers Loz Yes Leeds LS15, I do not know if I am lucky, but it does help to have one of your best mates as a SGT in the local force, he had his team on the look out and found it parked up not 4 miles from my house at 10.30 last night..
  15. Early hours of Sunday morning some toe rag decided to throw a rock through my my kitchen door window and make of with my keys and then took my 8 month old IS200 of the drive, Police recovered the car 12 hours later and I do not think there is to much damage, although I have not the opportunity to see for myself yet. My question for you guys is what can I realistically expect the insure company to pay for on the damage, will they replace tyres as I am told they may be somewhat lower of tread than when it was taken, also they have not recovered the key therefore will they replace the Immobiliser and supply new keys. Also will my premium go up the same amout if they had not recovered it and they had to supply me with a new car. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers Chris
  16. Cheers Besty, I have heard about this stuff and I will give it a go and will report results. Many Thanks All
  17. Cheers Loz I will give it a bit more with the old Brasso, and if that fails it would be good to meet and see if your stuff helps, I will keep you informed.
  18. Cheers Johnny-Boy, I have tried Brasso and it has made a difference, but I think it needs a bit more elbow grease.
  19. Cheers, I think it will be a bit of glass polish as it is only minor. Anybody reccomend a good one.
