on my current lexus and on my previous lexus I have had to replace 2 calipers on each vehicle.
conclusion is that the caliper design on any lexus (apart from the isf) is abismall
the paddles are operative in D mode as I can confirm this. its the gear stick shift that's only operative in S mode.
as to the OP forget about the desiel. get the petrol 250f with the mark levinson media pack
I changed from a is200 (2005) to a is 250 f sport 2010 and the ride on the 250 is harder than my previous is200.
also the tyres on the 250 are a lot lower profile than on a 200. you could try a bigger profile which should make the ride a bit more comfortable.
recomended diff and gearbox oil is every 30000. had mine changed at 70000 service as the car was up in the air and thought while its there might as well have it done for the amount of time it takes which is about 20 minutes
went to a lexus dealer and asked for a timing belt kit and when i asked if it included the idler the guy said it did,nt as when they change the belt and tensioner they dont as a rule change the idler
hi kev, i supplied the engine oil/diff oil/gearbox oil/plugs/oil filter/air filter myself (total cost of parts and oil £110)
if you do the same then email toyota gt and they will quote you a labour charge.
your be happy with the price im sure
just like to say thank you to james and all the lads at toyota gt for a great job they done on my lexus is200 navagator.
70,000 mile service/gearbox/diff oil change... good price to... cars running like a dream... well recomended.
thank you all
perfectly normal bud.... if youve got a lexus which changes from 1st to 2nd gear without any difficulty when its cold then you know you have a problem lol
had the same problem on mine, just removed the rubber grommet in the bottom of the well so the water just runs straight out... quick fix if you havent got a replacement pipe :D
drive mine all the time with the traction control turned off... as long as its not raining, so should,nt panick to much about it for the moment but it should,nt be flashing so will need to be looked at soon
