  1. You did very well at that then, you'd better put all the other seats back in before it gets dark, lol
  2. 4.5 Litres = 1 gallon 62 / 4.5 = 13.78 gallons 512miles / 13.78 = 37.15mpg someones maths is out somewhere
  3. Well the 450h Premier I had last week had 19" wheels that I do know, not sure if the other 450h models use an 18" wheel which I presume is the size you need, either that or a very very low profile tyre on it
  4. Not sure if it'll help due to sizes, but did notice that the 450h has a space saver wheel fitted as standard on it's specs.
  5. Tell ya what, you think the cruise control is clever in the 300, I had the 450 premier as a courtesy car last week and that has adaptive cruise control + pre crash system, well impressed with that.
  6. A little tip for when using Auto Clay bar, I used to use Bilt Hamber Auto Clay, until someone who details his car for auto shows told me to try Blu Tack, don't take my word for it mind try it yourself, you'll be surprised, a darn site cheaper too, but need to keep it wet same as Auto Clay.
  7. Actually I meant using the cruise control so as to keep a check on a heavy right foot, for when you're on a long motorway drive, as I don't know about you but often find myself looking at the speedometer and seeing you're doing 80 plus, because it certainly doesn't feel like it.
  8. You're doing the usual stuff to get more on economy? Air con off? cruise control wherever poss?
  9. Aye have seen recently that they've brought out Iridium plugs, specifically to work with LPG systems, but maybe it's Emporers new clothes scenario, I don't know, but do know the normal ones ran well.
  10. I did have the 79l doughnut tank fitted in mine, and the installers filled it up at 62.93litres, but that could be because mine was the mk1 RX300,where the spare wheel is in the boot, and not underneath as in the mk2 RX300. Apparently it was a 4 hole tank upgrade, costing £150, and also see I paid £75 for an extended 24 month, or 24000 miles warranty, on the LPG system which isn't much if you're worried about any breakdown in the system.
  11. I've copied my recommended oils from somewhere official, to use as reference, not just plucked out of thin air.
  12. I personally use Castrol Edge 0w30, but have seen that Magnatec 5w30 A1, is also recommended.
  13. About 23mpg on LPG, a tad less than petrol at around 26mpg
  14. When I had my RX300 with LPG conversion, I bought 6 Iridium plugs (good for 80k), and just gave them to the chap I took it to for servicing to work in with the yearly service, same with the Castrol Edge oil.
  15. Good point Dan - thanks i'll do that tonight :) what are you/others getting btw for comparison? A 200 mile jaunt around Devon yesterday, returned 32 mpg.
  16. Good to see you got it all sorted Paul. I received mine back on Friday, the Inverter has now been replaced by Lexus Exeter, at their cost of £3000, took it out today around 200 miles returned a decent 32mpg, so the ISC has been reset, as I've heard mpg can drop a tad if it hasn't. Didn't skip a beat, happy days, I'm looking forward to keeping it now till the F-sport 450h comes down enough to buy, was well impressed with the 450h.
  17. Same car same issue Paul, even though I did request a guarantee from Lexus, that sufficient work had been done on the inverter so as to the fault not happening again. We've had no rain last week, so it can't be water getting into the inverter, as it was thought to have done a fortnight ago, the only common denominator between the both breakdowns is that it had stood 3 odd days on the drive. As to your predicament Paul, you say it's resolved, but have they replaced the foam backing seals for the lights or have just used a sealant? if they've not replaced them , then, I'd order the two foam gaskets for the rear lights from Lexus, and take them down to a reputable high street garage near to you, and ask them to install and seal appropriately, I would have thought half hour labour each one, ball park to fit. and see how you go on from there, but that's just my opinion. oh and then get a garden sprinkler on it for a couple of hours, test it out
  18. Well I suppose it was too good to be true, last week nearly 900 miles and the car didn't skip a beat. today tried to start it up after 3 days parked up on the driveway, this time mind, not only did 'CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM' come up on the dash, but this time 'CHECK AWD SYSTEM' and 'CHECK VSC SYSTEM' came up as well, so I went through the usual routine of ringing up Lexus Exeter, them telling me to ring up the AA recovery number on back of tax disc, AA man comes out puts his diagnostic doo dah on the car, INVERTER PROBLEM shows up on his laptop, he then rings up for a low loader to come and pick up the car, neighbours having the usual quiet chuckle between them selves as it's loaded up on lorry. Only this time we get a 14 plate RX450h, while they try and sort out the inverter problem, and can I say a spot on motor the 450 is. I suppose it could have been worse, it's my old mans funeral this Monday, and if this had happened before the 250 mile trip up to Derby, I would have been pretty livid to say the least.
  19. Have a look here, you can get from Japan or UAE, part number 47781-48030, 47782-48030, about £22.00 each plus delivery. Delivery takes about 10 days they reckon http://www.amayama.com/search/?q=47781-48030-&cur=GBP
  20. Well I was actually thinking of getting the manuals out of the car, from where you're buying the car from, but aye google will do.
  21. Would be a good idea to get hold of the owners manuals, if that's at all possible, and give them a good read before you get your car, so you're pretty much familiar with all the whistles and bangs that come with the car.
  22. Trust me a blowout on an offside rear tyre, on the hard shoulder of a busy motorway, you won't be thinking of getting your jack out and changing the tyre, you'll be looking for the tyre repair foam, even more so if it's bucketing down with rain.
  23. Well Simon, I don't reckon you'll be disappointed, I've recently gone from an RX300 to the hybrid, took it for a few days away last week, and it returned 30.7 mpg from 870 miles, and dare say I could've squeezed another couple more mpg if the cruise control had been used more. Your iPhone connector to the sound system can be sorted for a few quid, if you shop around, I was lucky enough to have mine already fitted, by the previous owner, but while you're scratching your head as to why they fitted a cassette player on the dash, you can connect your iPhone to the sound system by going on Ebay and buying one of those cassette tape plus link wire connectors, linking your phone via the earphone plug, and that way you can use Spotify, control music that way.
  24. Aye tyre repair foam is a must, if you're getting rid of the spare wheel, to put LPG on, either that or put runflats on next time you change tyres.
  25. I'd buy those two, then for an extra 20 quid each, powdercoating them Black, and that way you'll have saved yourself a few bob, and doubt you'll need to replace them again, £150 quid max, and an hour and half ball park fitted.
