    I did read somewhere that another years warranty is added to the battery, when it goes in for service, or something along those lines.

    I try to forget about the balloon at the end, but I may just pay some of that off, and finance the rest when the time comes, I guess 6-7 years for the next IS (just saying).

    Thats what I do, Most cars with the paddle shift have a built in safe mode really, so the engine doesn’t over rev.

    I think a letter to Lexus may be in order soon, of all the brands I have owned, these are by far the most expensive I have ever seen, and I can’t see how they can justify them, I really can’t, what is done differently to any other brand?.

    Maybe a pointless thread, but I’ll start it anyway. Mainly for private owners really, how long do you aim to keep your car for, I’ve just extended the warranty, so I hope to keep it for at least 4 years, the longest I’ve had a car has been 3.5 years.

    The offer as you say, was until the end of the year, stated on the info leaflet. I just thought that £795 for 2 years was a good deal, the Audi was £880 with £100 excess, and a massive increase if paying monthly, I hope this will ensure I keep it for the duration too.

    Well, I decided to take up the 2 years for one extended warranty, which activates after the manufacturers one ends, so 4 years stress free motoring hopefully.

    I can only compare these to my Audi, but I think the heated seats are really poor, the A4 used to get so warm that I always had to turn them down, I can hardly feel anything in the IS, to the point that its not worth having them on. Does anyone else have the same, or is it just me.

    700 is my goal. 610 last month, I think. This month might be around 640.

    I’ve been using sport mode a bit of late, and I’m still surprised at how quick the car is, it does seem faster than the 0-60 times stated.

    Hello all, just curious really, with regards to wheel alignment, do most of the rwd Lexus toe in or out. I ask, as I have track ace, which is useful to check toe now and again, to make sure its within spec, and maintaining tyre life. I have an IS300H, although I’m not sure of the specs as yet.

    I have Ultra blue, but I really wish I could of found a Sonic Titanium, or maybe a Messa red.

    I’ve noticed that some of the interior pics on the web etc, the dash lights are blue. Is that something that can be changed at the dealer, on our cars, or is it only in certain countries?.

    I’m still shocked at those prices, how on earth can they justify them.

    With regards to suspension, I’m now of the opinion that tyres can make a big difference to the ride comfort of a car, tyres of the same size can feel very different depending on the make of tyre. I don’t think the F-sport suspension is too firm, but the tyres (bridgestones) do tend to make it feel a fair bit firmer. I’ve had Goodyear assymetrics on the A4, and they were better than the bridgstones they replaced.

    I turned it off completely, made no difference to the way I got out of the car, the fact that the steering wheel moves out of the way is enough for me😃.

    Coming up to 415 miles and the tank range has 170 miles to go, so 585 miles on the tank. A bit disappointing, but some of it has been around town etc, so hopefully this month will be a bit better.

    I think the only difference in colder weather, is cold starting and the engine requiring more fuel in the warm up phase, which obviously takes a bit longer, much like the old chokes, modern engines still use more fuel on cold starts, I assume?.

    I thought the system had 15 short text message replies, that can be sent, On page 343 in the manual. When I receive a text message, it's not giving me the option to reply with one.

    For some reason, I can't find the short pre programmed text message replies.

    I have the F-sport and the ride is fine, if anything, its the tyres that add a degree of firmness, and that can be changed with better tyres, as I have always found bridgestones to be firmer than most. Performance is more than adequate for me, its not a car for petrol heads because it wasn’t designed for them, as Michael said, so I don’t know what they expect from it, its for economy really, and it does it in a calm, sophisticated and refined way, and better than a diesel, thats for sure.

    I normally wash, maybe High definition polish or polish then wax. Maybe clay bar if the paint is rough. Gone back to Auto Glym, and Vics concours.

    This was my first choice colour, but settled for Ultra blue, as it was at the right price, still not sure, but it will be a rewarding colour when waxed.
