  1. Well, i have booked mine in, im supplying my own oil(mobil 1), and it's taken the price down to £353 from £449 with brake fluid change, nearly £100 for 6.5l of oil, thats why i get my own, as i will have 3.5l left for top ups or to go towards the next service.
  2. I have the same thing, on the right side, it,s been in to lexus, who said everything is ok, im not sure what it is though.
  3. Even though i have an IS250, when ever i see another one, i think, they do look realy nice. I just wish i could of held out for a messa red or the light blue(cant remember the name,is it cadaxton slate).
  4. Thats interesting, as the ze912's were on my list, as they are quite cheap as well, would you mind giving a bit of feed back in a while, as they do sound like good tyres, thanks all.
  5. I have noticed the same, it states on the Lexus website that the left light swivels 15 degrees and the right one 5 degrees.
  6. Thanks, i did look at the vredestein ultrac cento's, but they are not available in, 245/45, which is a shame. Not all tyres are available in that size for some reason.
  7. I have asked a similar question before, but what tyres do you have on your IS250 at the moment, and how is the road noise. I have done a bit of research of late, and have narrowed it down to, Goodyear efficient grips or Falken ZE912's. With noise and comfort being a priority. I have Bridgestones on the front which are rubbish and almost worn Dunlop SP sport maxx on the back.
  8. Ive had some issues with mine of late, i had the tracking done at a garage and it was ok, but the steering wheel was off centre, so i decided to have a go my self, with the string method, again it felt fine but the steering wheel was off centre, and i realy hate that, because that in itself makes the steering feel funny, so i adjusted each side to bring the steering wheel centre. I have decided now, that i will get a two wheel alignment gauge, so i can do it as and when needed, because most garages will not do it properly, and i cant be bothered to keep going back and having the steering wheel centred.
  9. Thanks for that, thats a big difference though, is yours less than 4 years old?.
  10. Right, just got my first price for a 40k, 4year service, with filters, g/box oil and brake fluid change, for £472.19. For IS250, how does that sound, bloody expensive if you ask me, but is that the going rate?.
  11. I think the BMW had issues with swirl flaps, but i have not heard of the IS having the same problems, or if it even has the swirl flaps. But it does have a lot of other faults, when i was at the Lexus dealer a while back even the tech said it was a good job i didn't get the diesel, so that tells you something, have you considered the IS250, i bet if you drive one you will change your mind, although i would assume you are limited with regards to company etc.
  12. I did the discs and pads for a friend a while ago, and it took about 20 mins each side, it realy is a simple job, just get the parts and do it your self, that price is shocking.
  13. A bit off topic i know, but i was at bluewater today, and they had the CT200 on show, a pre production model. I had to have a sit inside, and it was realy nice, with a chunky steering wheel and low slung driving position, perfect, but it was a bit bland in some strange way. For me the IS250 is perfect and must be one of the best looking cars around in its class, the german ones are too bland, and i do not miss my E90 BMW one bit. The only thing BMW is better at than the rest, is, as we all know, handling, and you cant drive hard enough all the time to exploit that, for a refined drive it still has to be the IS for me, taking into account all the toys that it comes with.
  14. Although these seem to fit the bill, Yokohama DECIBEL V550. And found this. http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/tyre-tests.html
  15. Realy, what size are yors though col, as mine are 245,45,17 and 225,45,17, i think, so will be a bit loud i know. Whats the nitrogen for, does it just mean you dont have to pump them up as often, im sure i read that somewhere?.
  16. My car is silver, so i used the body touch up from lexus, not perfect, but good enough. For realy small marks i use a cocktail stick, which seems to work ok, honestly :) .
  17. As the title realy, the rears are due to be changed soon, which are dunlop sp sport max, so just want to get peoples opinions on the best ones to get. I have bridgestones on the front which have a fair bit of tread but i cant wait to get them off, they are realy loud and firm. I have been looking around and Falken ZE912 and michelin primacy seem ok, the later is a bit costly though
  18. I think the lexus screen should be accoustic, there is a symbol on the screen in the corner.
  19. Make sure the side trims are not damaged when they remove them, i watched the fitter when they did mine, and the trims and blue clips were broken, so i asked for new ones, also make sure the new screen has the wiring and plug for the wiper heating element, check before it's fitted.
  20. I would like to get some seat runners for my IS250se-l, any ideas where i can get them from. The reason i want some, is because i just can't get comfortable in mine as the seat doesn't go down low enough, so i thought about doing something to the runners to get them to sit a bit lower to the floor, if i bugger up then i have some new ones.
