  1. Hi M, I put the original post up in 14, are you pressing the start button twice to light the dash up fully?. It is as you say the manual wipe position of the wiper arm. Maybe hold for a good 10 sec., I set my GS300h 12 months ago and it worked fine. It can take a few trys for it to work. D
  2. It looks more complicated than it actually is Barry, go on man have a go.
  3. Good grief is it almost 4 years since a posted that topic, times are flying guys.
  4. All the lamps on my 2017 GS are LEDs except the front indicators, as anyone replaced these for LEDs?. LEDs are much more visible.
  5. I have a 2017 GS, if you hold down the lock button and press the unlock button twice it disables the fob, I'm not sure when this feature was introduced but worth a try.
  6. Following the latest news regarding the possibility of banning diesels from some city centres, are you hybrid drivers feeling a little smug today?, I know I am.
  7. I have mk4 GS ( 2017 ) with the single LED head light and find them a improvement on my previous IS with xenon which were pretty good in themselves. D
  8. Hi Steve I just assumed it was the same as my previous 3 IS's and I would close it with a firm push, I discovered by accident when my pressure wasn't hard enough and I was amazed to see it close itself. Great feature.
  9. After having my GS 300h all of 8 months I've just found that the boot as a soft close function ( if it doesn't latch fully it closes it's self ) I've not seen any reference to this in the handbook, anybody else noticed this?.
  10. Thanks for taking the time to reply James, it seems to have resolved itself, my last 4 uses has resulted in it connecting automatically again, it really is a baffling system. D
  11. After 5 months with my new GS I now find my phone does not connect to the car automatically, I can connect manually via the add screen and the phone setting, any thoughts anyone?. I haven't changed any settings on the car or phone. D
  12. You beat me to it capese21, first thing I did on collecting my GS in Jan., took about 5 mins. D
  13. Thanks Peter/Mark The auto GMT/BST was off, wouldn't you think the handbook would mention there was clock adjustments in the general setting. Thanks again. D
  14. I can't, looking through the manual find a way to change my GPS controlled clock to BST, any ideas anyone. D
  15. Rayaan Yes every time, really annoying, I have the 12in screen and normally have the map on the larger of the split screen and what the engine/battery is doing on the smaller, I will try your idea with the map on the small segment. D
  16. Amit If when the safety screen is displayed you press the map button, it will open without the menu. not a fix but better than fiddling with the mouse. D
  17. Hi Amit I have the same issue on my new GS it drives me nuts, hope someone as a answer. D
  18. Sorry if I'm boring you guys but I love this car, had a little spin in the lakes to today and tooks these pics. The lake is Loweswater.
  19. " I thought the IS 300h drove much better than the GS300h, also felt more screwed together than the GS " Well I beg to differ, after 3 years with a 3gen 250 have now, admittedly after just 250 miles in my GS 300h I find it a much more refined drive, have just arrived back after a little drive through the lakes and found it handles ( for a large saloon ) very well and the ride is much smoother than the IS, its also beautiful finished inside. My GS is on 17 wheels.
  20. First thing was to alter the lane changing flasher from the default 3 to 5 which is much more relevant.
  21. Thanks spacenase/Haylands It's a lovely morning up here in Cumbria just had a little drive to nowhere in particular it realy is a beautiful car to be in and drive, the handbook advises to put 600 miles on before really giving it a bit of wellie, so only 450 to go. Then dowm the M6 to show it off to the daughter. D
  22. Thanks everyone for your kind words, I'm absolutely delighted with it, it feels a much more substantial car to the IS ( I'm not knocking the IS I had 3 ) and I now understand people's enthusiasm for hybrids its a wonderful system. I'll wait for a little better weather and a backdrop more in keeping with it status, and post some more pics. Capese21 I love the auto folding/auto tipping when in reverse mirrors and the all " led " lighting ( besides the front indicates ) hurry on spring/summer. Eire Lexus You won't be disappointed its a very underrated car, are you buying new? If so you'll find the " Safety System + " very good
  23. Sorry Shahpor, only the one pic., had intended to get a s/h at about 5 months old but got a nice deal on a new one. I live about 36 miles from the dealer done the route on many occasion in my 250 and never got more 36mpg today without really trying did 52mpg very impressed, and it's beautiful smooth.
