  4. Ahhhh... well I have sent a PM to our esteemed Discount Organiser.. ;) Cos checking on the web last night, my local dealer has changed the parts manager!!! So before I get home.. I hope that the discount is confirmed.... And once the lights are sorted then its just the exhaust trim ( ;) ;) Zee :D ) and the suspension.... Which will probably empty my bank account for the rest of the year Thanks for all your help guys.... gonna have a worthy Team Lexus motor eventually :D
  5. Well, the decsion I reached was..... If my local dealer won't fit them (and if I can get the matching rears in time... hopefully they'll fit all 4 :D ) Then I was going to look and if I couldn't face it (and lets be honest here ) then I'd go to Sarah's garage, cos she has a mate who will probably do them for me... Ian.
  6. Personally, I think a tracker device is best. You can now even program your habits into the system... e.g. if the tracker sees the car moving at 3am, and you stated you never use it between 12 and 8am... they will call you on your mobile to ask if you are driving the car... Plus the insurance saving on having the tracker would offset the annual cost of registration..
  7. C'mon mate... I'm too terrified to try and remove the bumper on my car.. never mind taking the headlights apart!! Okay I'm a wuss... but I'd rather not mess up my car :D
  8. Yep! However, having the mechanical ability of a monkey.. I'm too scared to try and fit them myself..
  9. Hi, Could someone please PM me the Part Number for the smoked rear IS200 lights. I was hoping (probably :iraqi-info-minister: ) to get them fitted for JapFest.. Thanks Ian.

Wilderness (and those above) , for making me want to spend a fortune modifying my car.. And to the rest of you, who all were so friendly and helpful: Jac114, Steve, norkep, pete, linda, L3XEY and of course the TOC people.... :D Ian.
  13. Just wanted to say a big thank-you for everyone for making me feel welcome at my first 'meet'.... :D And I will definatley be at JapFest... and any meets planned for the future... Ian.
  14. Hi Guys, looking around the workshop to see if I could change the lights myself, I came across this post from IS340Supracharged: Note:All users are required to read the Workshop Disclamer. If you want to take apart your headlights,to either paint them or remove the orange indicator bar here is how.......... front lights dismantleing removal of light, undo the 2 screws on the top, there is also 2 screws behind the indicator 10mm,you can acces these through the arch liner, the left side is harder cos of the washer bottle(deep 10mm) dont forget to disconnect the cables........1 main,1 side,1 indicator and high beam, they are a press release(press at the tail of the plug) when you come to remove the light, there is a plastic clip at the bottom, use a flat point to push the prongs down, and be a little brutal pulling it out!!!!!! ok,the lights out........... This doesn't mention removing the front bumper?? so which one is right? Thanks Ian.
  15. Not a problem mate... I had a great time too... just wait for JapFest now.. :D
  16. Well if you come up with an idea to turn the door lights from red to blue... PLEASE LET ME KNOW ... Thanks :D

  19. Don't be concerned, just look at the 2003 JD power survey, Lexus came first again for the second year... and thats down to customer service. Of course, if you want to save even more money, join LOC gold, and you can save up to 15% on your service costs from participating Dealers: Gold Members Page
  20. Just turn up the stereo.... you won't notice ;) But seriously... the IS200 does suffer from some tyre noise, most noticable at motorway speeds.
  21. Zee to the rescue once again :D Yeah, I'll be up at Cotswold tomorrow... come rain or shine See you there .... :P
  22. How about we meet in the pay & display down from the Motor Museum, we can always re-locate if it isn't suitable??
  23. Hi.. I was wondering if the chrome exhaust trim on the IS200 Sport was an easy add-on to the existing exhaust... or a complete rear box??? If it is a simple add on, is there anyone selling one? or is there a club discount I can get by ordering one?? Also, is anyone selling the chrome scuff plates from the sport, or again, any advice where to get these at discount price? I know I'm being :iraqi-info-minister: but I just want to add one or two little extra's to my SE, that won't cost the earth, or put my insurance up.... Thanks in advance, Ian.
  24. So are we meeting there instead????
