  1. Would the ones from an IS300 fit on a IS200. I think it should but i just want to make sure.
  2. ^^^^^ Indeed, if/when you get them working don't leave them turned on for more than a few seconds in those tubes, they'll melt ! :D Let there be light...I inverted and checked the balasts they are working ...both of them .... Thanks for your help guys. I really appreciate it. Yahoooooo
  3. It looks right. Do the OEM headlights still work if you plug them back in ? Just checking that the fuse hasn't blown. The connector that I would try swapping around if the red/black one going into the ballast, try it in both ways. Have you tried both ballasts and both bulbs ? i.e. if you've just tried that one set, then try plugging in the bulb from the other set into that first ballast. If that doesn't work, then swap the ballast for the second one and again try both bulbs with it. Ok mate, I will try it now. PLease stay tuned :)
  4. Bench test ...and how would I do that? How can I test them? Take then off the car and test them with a spare car battery or a power supply that gives out 12v @ 10amps or more. Thanks mate. Please have a look at hte picture and you will see how I tested them. Is that the correct way?

  6. Yes mate. This is how I did it: HID pic I have couple of pics there taken this morning. As I said it seems to be preeeeeety straight forward but ...still no light. I will have another go later on today, but if you think this looks wrong please let me know. Cheers

  9. I have one of these.... Clicky Linky Has anyone bought from this seller so far ? It looks preety straight forward...but who knows, I might be stupid .
  10. Oh well, I've tried it this morning again but still no luck. moved them around and all that. It fits quite well, so I don't need to cut a tab or anything but it doesn't work. Is it possible that the balast might be broken or faulty? Is quite unlikely to be the case as both are not working. Is there anyway I can check the bulbs or the balast? I want light....!!!
  11. I got the HID kit tihs afternoon and I tried to install it. But it doesn't work ..at all. Bugger. I am really upset as I was hopping to go to the movies with my new lights ....so to speak. Anyway, someone said that I might need to invert the connectors. Which ones. Any pics of your kit installed would be greatly apppreciated or at least a possible cause of this failure. As far as I am aware, I've installed everything as it supposed to so.... cheers p.s. nearly done with the carbon fibre bits....:)
  12. WOW, thanks guys. I will take some more pics when I am almost done(when modifying a car there is no end).
  13. Believe it or not , is the bit that goes on the pillar for the seatbelt. The window switches I finish them tonight or tomorrow will have their final buff. Thay come up so nice that I feel like I want to lick them I did only the back. i will do the front when I am done with everything and I get bored. I really recommend it mate, they could come out really nice but you will need alot of patience. If your bit has a light color, make sure that you give it a bit of paint, so you wont see the light colour through. Fot the small bits like widows switches and stuff I would recommend a very fine and light CF, but you can go down to same road as I went, and that is using a 200g/sqm. When you get close to do it, I would be more than happy to give some tips. Cheers
  14. Bit 1 Sorry, I couldn't attach the image... As some of you might know I've started a while ago "reskinning" some of the bits and pieces of my Lexus. All I can say is that it requires alot of patience. This is a sneak peak of one final product. I am really into carbon fibre(black or silver) and I think I will do some more stuff (centre console, and the middle bit between the seats. I know it will take me a while, but I will wait till summer comes. I can also share some secrets for when you do it but before that make sure you have alot of patience. So this si my pursuit of perfection. M

  16. HI there, I retrimmed the interior of my car with black suede but the handles are grey and I don't know what to use to paint them. I can use leather to trim them but I am afraid that it could look a bit ugly. So, long story short ...what should I use to paint the leather black?
  17. Hi there ..again, I want to decide which way I should go: Lowering springs with sway bars(ARB's) or coilovers with strut braces (back and rear)?
  18. OK ...I bought 3 of them ..one for me, one for my wife and one for my car ....so everyone is electric supercharged...lol
  19. Hi mate, nice to see you here...
  20. Hi there, I am thinkin' to go to the dark side (turbo or supercharger) and I found this while I was looking for stuff on the net. Clicky What you guys think ...it sounds toooo good to be true.
  21. That's exactly what I was thinking. I've asked for a sample to see how it looks like. Too bad that I've already skinned some of the interior parts on my car.
  22. What do you guys think about this? Linky
  23. true what ormi said whatever you buy you would be very happy. Thanks guys ..I've ordered a new kit 35W 6000K. Look forward to get them. Meanwhile I am working on covering some interior parts of my car in carbon fiber. It's a very long process but is looking REALLY good. I will post few pics as soon as I am done.
  24. Wat's best for IS200? 35w or 55w? And why? Pros? Cons? Differences? I know 50 will draw more power but is there a big difference in brightness between 35 and 50w?
  25. How much brighter? 3 times, 4 times? Quite tempted to go for 55w but I am afraid that they would be too bright.
