  3. Hi, I want to buy and install a HID kit on my Lexus IS200 but there are so many options on Ebay. How much it would be a decent HID system. What to look for when I buy and also what sort of price. I've seen some good ones for 50-80 USD +shipping but I don't know of they are a good quality. Thanks in advance

  5. No worries mate, we're not on the Moon... I've made some phone calls today and found the right stuff. Is called Carbon fibre cloth and Is going to cost me somewhere around 100 AUD with the right resins and stuff . Also I found this in my surfing activities: Clicky This would be for Aaron who is really keen to do it so I think it is very usefull...as well as other LOC members. Would you know what resin to use? Aparently the Polyester resin has some composites that could melt some types of plastic but it has better qualities. I am not sure if the Lexus plastic would melt if I use Polyester. The Epoxy one is probably the right one but will not have the same qualities. I will explain more if need it. I will take pics when I will do it. So if you guys would know the answer ...let me know.
  6. Yeah me too...but I am not going to wait for the summer to come. So I will do it before you :P I will post some pics once is done. A bit hard to get the carbon fibre sheet.
  7. What you guys think? Easy? carbon Fibre wrapping
  8. I am really looking to get some ideas of my interior. Carbon fibre inserts or brushed aluminium might do the trick but ...you never know. So, please post a link or a pic of you interior.
  9. Part number for the fog lamp relay is either 90987-02012 or 90987-02020, your Lexus/Toyota dealer should be able to help you figure out which is right for your car. See parts diagram below for the exact location of the relay, it's at the back of the passenger side fuse box, labelled as (7) in the picture : Thanks mate. I will get into it today. I will check wtih the guys from Lexus on Monday.
  10. Thanks mate. I meant in the car. I've looked around the fuse boxes on both sides, but I couldn't find a relay for the fog lights. Just a bunch of wires and plugs and the fuse box. I will check the switch on Saturday as well. Thank you for your help so far. Relays are on the back of the fuse box, you need to unplug all the wires and take the fuse box out to get at them! Is there any other way to check if the relay is broken? Also, do you know the part number fo the front fog lights relay, so I can buy one before I open everything in there? Cheers.

  19. I've just found this: "Sliding roof always re-opens (anti trap function)" Increase the foce by running the sliding roof again manually by pushing and holding the close switch within 10 sec.( Try max 3 times ) When the sliding roof starts reversing ( Resistance becomes greater due to the deformation of seal.), press the switch and hold it. So reverse force increases, then the sliding roof can be closed. First time : Reverse with force of 100N Second time : Reverse with force of 150N Third time : No jam protection function * Press the switch within 10 seconds after the roof has started reversing. Otherwise, sliding roof ECU returns to the un initialized condition. If this fails it reccomends trying... *Reinitialize When the sliding roof does not stop at the normal position, ever though the above operations have been performed, resetting is necessary.\ *Reinitializing method (a) Move the sliding roof to the maximum tilted position. ( Release the switch, press the switch again and hold it for 10 secs. © The sliding roof operates in a cycle of TILT DOWN " SLIDE OPEN " SLIDE CLOSE " TILT UP. This completes reinitializing.
  20. I am sorry mate, it's 00:15 here and I had a loooong day. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. In order to take the lining of I had to disconnect the electrics including the sunroof. After I took the roof lining off, I connected the sunroof on. The sunroof wasn't working before(a loose wire or something). Now when I managed to make it work, with all the roof electrics off but the sunroof ones, it closes and it opens up again. It doesn't stay in the close position. i am a bit confused. I really need this fixed otherwise I am stuffed, so ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
  21. Hi everybody, I've taken the sunroof linning of to retrim the whole car in black(I will post some pics) and my sunroof is playing up. It didn't work before but now it closes and than opens up and stays like that. All the sunroo electrics are disconnected and I thought that it might be the cause, otherwise I haven't got a clue. Really strange and quite anoying as the winter is comming our way and it doesn't look good. Any help woould be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  22. Well, I guess you are right here. Yes, the door insrts for the switches and also the front A/C console and the surroundings. I was thinking to make the small edge that goes around the console from the satnav(or tray in my case) down to the gearstick. Or make a combination Carbon fiber with brushed aluminium on the roof switches as well. I know is going to be a tricky job but first of all, I want to make it look good. Many thanks
  23. HI there everybody, I've started to modify my car a while back and it goes quite well. I will post some pics soon. My sunroof motor was stuffed so I bought a new one and I will have it replaced soon. While I was at it, I retrimmed the roof and pillars with black suede. It looks really good, but it's not fitted back on yet. really easy to do if you have patience ...:). I've also bought some led interior lights that I will put in, once I got everything nice and tidy. The small bits and pieces will be painted in black as well...or silver. I have a small problem. THE INTERIOR theme...I have few options : brushed aluminium with black colour, or carbon fiber with black or Brushed aluminium with carbon fiber. NOt really sure, what it will look ok. I really want a modern look with a bit racey feeling... Please tell me what you guys think...has anyone did anything like that? Any pics? So show us your INTERIOR. Cheers.
