Hi there, I am trying to get a new key for my Lexus IS200 and have it reprogrammed. Can I get any key and try to reprog or it should be only for IS200? Any advice will be very good.

Ok guys, I think I will go crazy...I've had an issue with my horn and I had to reopen the bloody steering wheel. In order to do that I 've disconected the battery because I dont want to deploy the airbag. Anyway, I will have to go down to an electrician to have a look at it as I spent too much time on it. BUT the remote key doesn't work anymore. I dont think that is the baterry as it was working few hours ago. Now I am not really sure whats the cause of it. Do I need to reprogram the master key(if thats possible), or buy another one....or I don't know ...sell it? If I disconnect the battery is the whole thing resets and needs reprogram ing? PLease let me know as I am on the edge of loosing my mind :tsktsk: Well not really but it is very annoying . Thanks you in advance.

Hi mate, I have a similar problem. My horn is not working when I push the centre part of the steering wheel. But it works if I am trying to get in the car without disarming the central locking. I've opened the steering wheel but nothing seems to be wrong. Well I hope not. Does anyone have the wiring diagram or a picture of the steering wheel opened just to see if I have everything in place? Any thoughts? Cheers

Hi mate, I managed to track down a Legana front bumper from NZ. Still interested? It will be 700AUD plus the shipping costs(somewhere around 500 i think...no where near 750quid plus the shipping ). The guy is going to send me some pics if it and find how much it would be to have it sent to Au. Then I will sned it to you. Or I can negociate with the guy to send it straight to you.(It might come up a bit cheaper. Please let me know if you're still interested. I might be able to track down some more...Anyone interested? This one has the fog lights as well. I might get one for me if the price is right. Probably a group buy?

Hi buddy, at the moment I am thionking if I should get an intake pipe like your or a K&N panel air filter. Do you feel any difference in performance or fuel consumption?

Has anyone taken off their rocker cover to paint? Is it hard? Do I need to be aware of anything before doing it? I have taken off a rocket cover before on some other cars but not on this one.

Depending on the LED I think they can be quite bright, but as I said we dont get fog here. Thats my concern though: I pay AUD40 and get something thats not realy bright.

Stav, you are the man. Thank you mate. I will work on it today. So there should be a piece of metal that should touch the contacts from the steering wheel right? Do you have any pictures by any chance? I hope that I will find the problem. I am quite certain that the problem is in there.

Geez Stav, that was fast. You mean those 2 little star bolts on each side of the steering wheel. What about the airbag? Is there any chance to have that deployed? Why do I need to disconect the baterry? Cheers

Hi everyone, I know, I know that it has been discussed over and over but I am still undecided which one to use. I would go for the K&N but the OEM box gets quite hot as well so I am not 100% sure that's the best idea. On the other hand, the Prolex kit looks quite good and I might be able to make one my self and add a heat shield over the really hot spots(exhaust, engine cover).In this way I will keep the hot air away from the whole intake pipe. As I think( I might be wrong) that there is no point in getting cold air at the front end and than warm or hot air in the intake plenum caused by the heted intake pipe(that will go over the engine or the exhaust). An aluminium engine cover (with a heat shield attached) will go over the engine. It will look great and I am spending quite alot of time on it. So what do you guys think?

Hello everyone, Ok, so one of my front foglight lightbulbs is busted. I would like to get something thats close to silver white(not the HID though). I was actually thinking to get some of these: Ebay LED HB4's Has anyone ever used them? I am not really sure about the brightness but I guess they will be quite bright. Are they legal? I am not using the foglights much as we dont get much fog (not at all actually) but I think they might look ok at dawn. What's your opinion on these?. Cheers

Thanks mate, I've had look yesterday and called the guys from Lexus as well and it seems that the regulator should be towards the back I tend to believe that as I could not see the regulator in there at all....unless is missing hence the problem. No regulator, no sliding roof I guess . Do you guys think that it might be different?

So was it easy to open the steering wheel? It seems that the horn it self is working as I activated the alarm which is connected to the horn, opened the hood and it works. But when I press in the middle of my steering wheel it doesn't work. I think that it might be something not connected in there. How easy is to open the steering wheel. Or should I get an electrician to look at as I dont want to have the airbag deployed. Cheers.

A sponsor of mine have provided me with two 65mm projectors and a D2S xenon system. I have also found out who makes the L-tuned front bumper I've fallen in love with... it turns out that it is Toyota Japan, which is both good and bad. Since it's made by Toyota it should fit perfectly, but it's quite expensive. About £750 + shipping from Japan. This is the bumper I'm very close to buying, I already have the L-tuned rims: Hi mate, I use to live in New Zealand for quite some time. Did you take the original lining of and replace it with the new suede look alike or you glued it over it? Really clean job. Well done.

I need to replace mine as it is busted. How hard it is to remove the roof lining? You reckon that I will need to remove the whole lining or just a part of it. HI there guys,I've just bought a LExus IS200 and I love it. I have a big problem with my horn...is not working. I checked the fuses, the wires....but I could not find anything wrong. A guy from the service station reckons that it must be something inside the horn button on the steering wheel. How can I check if the wires have any power in them. Any advices would be appreciated.
