Does the acutator make any noise at all when you use the remote or the door switch????? It sounds like its a problem in the lock/latch its self can you remove it from the door ???

Dont panic it just sounds like the clip has come off the back of the barrel drop the door card off and check the lock is still linked to the barrel it is a small bar linking the barrel to the lock if this is still conected (at both ends) further investigation is needed. Although it should still work via the remote so could be the actuator but saying that one or the other should work so my guess is its a problem with the lock mec its self. Hope this helps

Hiya, Now... just been thinking. I love my new GS300, the only thing that im not that keen on is the colour of the wood! Im not moaning as i know that when you buy a car it cant be 100% perfect. I could live with the wood because its the colour (caspian sky) and the leather (cream) that i wanted. So i was thinking, can you change the wood if you was to buy its from a GS in a salvage yard, or maybe swap with some one I dont want to have the original wood sprayed as i wouldnt want to risk it and ruin it, but if i could change it to the dark wood or black wood (not sure if it would suit it) or maybe buy some from a salvage yard and have it done like the alliminium that they do in the RX400h. could look grose but you never know until you try it i suppose! I dont know, any one have any suggestions or know if you can even do it!? So if any one has tried it or done it already let me know, or if any one knows of any GS's that are going for breaking or if any one fancies a change and wants to swap wood would appreciate a point in the direction. Thanks all!!

Hiya welcome to LOC! :) Insurance isnt too bad, just a case of shopping around a bit, i was 19 when i got my IS300 and i found that tesco was the cheapest but with an £800 excess!! Now i have my GS tesco wouldnt insure me but admiral came back with a very good price. Good luck car and insurance hunting!!

I love the colour because its a bit different, yes its SE-L. Not got adaptive cruise control though :( I am really happy with it though. My other half tinted the windows today, he done a really good job, i will put pics up when he's finished. Still has the front to do as he ran out of time. perfectionist!! Knitware, put a pic up of yours so i can have a look at it and the wheels. :)

No sold it privately in the end. Ive not seen another caspian sky GS, and it wasnt until yesterday when was driving home with it that i seen a caspian sky IS! typical.

Thank you very much. I love it. It looks so nice in the sun. Going to tint the windows and put some bigger wheels on it hope fully in the next few weeks. I like it because its a not a common colour. Havent seen another one around where i live?? Not unless there is any one on here who is close by and i have missed them!

On my way home from London in my new car, bought a 2005 Caspian Sky GS300 Really happy with it :D Will put pics on later B)

Mines black but i like alot of the colours. black, white and i think caspian sky is very nice, also like aztec fire although the other half doesnt. Its all personal preferance. to a certain person.......you really shouldn't criticize other peoples car. every one is different, its not very nice and could cause people to get funny.

i think he's really funny!! Everyone has different opinions though i suppose.

I was offered £4300 but the 2 i have seen that are most reasonable priced are private. If the car doesnt reach what i want i will start looking at dealers because i dont want it to go for nothing.
