  1. Yes and hence the name expansion bottle too
  2. Like a lot of things its open to interpretation and discretion,am no expert, but know some garages will fail it if on,a bit like tyre pressure warning lights - some will fail it and some won't.
  3. It is now see - http://conversation.which.co.uk/transport-travel/new-mot-rules-warning-lights-car-safety/
  4. Stainless steel cat back, originally went for a chambered back box with no middle box - resonator but thought it too loud so had a middle box fitted so now just slightly louder that OEM,cost me £349.
  5. Well used LL(Battersea) years ago with no problems,so had no issue with using them again so used LL Northampton earlier this year as just wanted a stainless steel exhaust(my OEM was still okay)Yes its a franchise under Intown Automotive,no problems there either although did have to take it back as it was leaking ever so slightly triggering the EML to come on during long journeys - problem rectified and all has been okay ever since.
  6. Have you taken it to an exhaust centre for it to be looked at though,or considered having a custom one built, longlife exhausts in Northampton could build one.
  7. Like with most cars these days, the EML can be triggered by a whole host/variety of faults, best thing is to have it read and that way you know what the fault is rather than trying to look for a needle in a hay stack and take it from there, could be something minor or something more serious.
  8. Hi as an alternative why not buy yourself an OBD reader or see if a mate has one,at least that way you get the fault code and then you can take it from there,in future anytime your EML light comes on it is worth noting the fault code before having it erased.
  9. To be honest not too sure if it will(wouldn't advice cutting the end off to make it short),however a long key will work all the same just that you have a bit more sticking out of the barrel.
  10. Hello who told you that you needed a master default disc?the reason it flashes unable to read disc is because the disc in it is the wrong disc or in your case a copy(the system doesn't like copies). As yours is a 2001 model pretty sure yours is CD Rom based,pm ACLex on here (he is the LOC parts dealer)and he should be able to help you out,he is very knowledgeable,he may require you vin number so have it to hand.If you want his number pm me,don't think it will cost you £150 either.
  11. Yes it is,just peel the cover off the sticky tape and fit am assuming it has the sticky tape back like most badges do these days
  12. You might as well pm or call ACLex
  13. Find that a bit strange, you would have thought that somewhere in the settings you should have the option to turn the camera warning off, hopefully there is a solution somewhere otherwise you might sadly have to live with it.
  14. What makes you think it's a common problem, never had such a problem with the two I have owned, you will probably need to take the seat out to see if it is as you will probably find that the seats are run by more the just one motor.
  15. Hi,if the first generation IS is anything to go by the answer to your question would be no its not, before you go spending money I would suggest you find out if you car has the wiring loom for both the head unit and the module that plays the disc, before proceeding any further.
  16. Hi I must say am a bit baffled as there should be a square shaped black button that serves as the eject button.
  17. have you tried what I suggested?
  18. hi,silly question but are you sure it had a disc in the first place?in trying to remove the disc make sure you have the ignition on,and the sliding switch in the boot open and then press the eject button for a couple of seconds and disc should eject.
  19. hi before you go spending money try and ascertain if the module in the boot works first, then there's the issue of the front screen, not to talk of getting the disc for it.Furthermore if you do decide to get any bits make sure they are from a car of the same year as the earlier sat nav cars had a remote but no centre console menu and the later models had the centre console menu and no remote.Personally I wouldn't bother as just not worth the hassle, but no harm in trying if you want to.
  20. Does it open 30mm and then close again all on its own?if so can only suggest you have a fault somewhere, mine opens 3/4 of the way and if you want it to open all the way you have to press the slide switch a second time.
