  1. Fingers crossed they might let you have a GS you never know hehe, cambelts are one I don't take for granted, all well and good still they snap, surprised people do really, because you never know when,to me just not worth the risk but good luck to those that want to.
  2. once again its 6years or 60,000 miles WHICHEVER COMES FIRST beats me that people then interprete this to suit them, put it this way if you had a cambelt changed now and did nil miles in the next six years your cambelt would still need changing, rubber perishes over time even without use.
  3. hi from the look of it following from all the comments above, you have a valet key and not a master key
  4. I have a 2009/10 disc in mine, which I bought almost 4 years ago after I bought the car as a the previous one was a 2003 disc.
  5. hi,will have to disagree with you there, although its more tedious to use as has no postcode function and yes its getting old etc, however if you have an up to date disc once you get over the hassle of inputting the address it is more or less spot on and works a treat,no waiting for satellite signals etc.Have a tom tom I bought for my misses and that some times take more than 5 minutes just to find a satellite signal.
  6. hi they both(heated seat switches)should light up,so most likely a case of a blown bulb,I am sure there a threads on here somewhere regarding how to change them.
  7. Good luck and all the best, don't particularly like insurance companies myself, yet another excuse to rip you off.
  8. hi your air con not working great wouldn't have anything to do with your battery, have it tested or get a battery tester.A battery on it's way out may not necessarily give you any warning signs(struggles to turn engine over). As a rule I would consider a battery over 5/6 years old past its best, hope this helps.
  9. hi,no one seems to have mentioned that the postcode of where you live tends to affect premiums too,you could live in one postcode and move to another possibly five to six streets away and your premiums go up simply because insurance companies consider the new postcode a higher risk area, hope this helps.
  10. hello to be honest with you it is possible as with everything however it is not worth the hassle nor trouble as you will have to take out the entire interior for starters, and even then there no guarantee that your car has the relevant connections for the wiring loom,so you are better trying to fit something like a Sony sat nav into the OEM housing and using it that way, there are threads on here that you could also go through.hope this helps
  11. if it dies again in the next few days then have a look at the alternator, hopefully was just your old battery on it's way out.
  12. congratulations Chris, well done, don't forget you will also need £85 or is it £105 too transfer it over, and your insurance documents changed, during the transfer process the DVLA will send you and duplicate MOT and tax disc with your new registration :-D
  13. how old is the battery, anything older than 5/6 years and it's on it's way out.
  14. hi with regards the sat nav, there is an eject button(its square)press it and it should eject the disc, that is after sliding the disc slot open, hope this helps,as for the disc you might have the wrong one.
  15. £340 is a fair price, had same done to mine over three years ago including a full above cost was about £550.
  16. sorry don't own a RX,but normally there should be some sort of diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover indicating what is what, otherwise its a process of elimination, take out each fuse and see which one is the blown one,I assume you know how to tell a good one from a blown one, hope this helps
  17. 60,000 miles or 6 years whichever comes first
  18. what mistake?if you are too heavy right footed you get crap mpg irregardless of what car you may drive moreso an IS 200,the more you put your foot down the less mpg you get.
  19. hello Andy the IS 200 does not have a radio code,so you are free to disconnect and reconnect it with no radio issues.
  20. have you tried longlife exhausts they might have one there or nearby
