My last IS250 did that after the rear window been refitted (to kill an annoying clicking noise). Has any work been done on the rear window on your car?

I had this noise when my car was brand new. Everytime I turn the wheel, it knocks. Specially at low speed turning, sometimes on high speed too. It was very noticeble both in sound and feel though the steering wheel (sound comes from lower part of steering column. I hear the same noise when I push that part). This happens always in summer when its hot outside. My dealer has tried few times to fix this (they reassembled the steering column and lubricated the shaft). it usually goes away after they fixed it but comes back few days later. The weird thing is its gone after 2 years by itself and It never happened again.

The GS250 is not quicker than the IS (0-100km/h 8.6 sec). But the new GS250 has a new intake that sounds better than IS with stock intake.

I think the new IS will have same styling as the new GS which I think looks quite blend. My dealer has confirmed that it will be a 4 cylinder hybrid and will be released next year. Together with a non-hybrid 350 version. I like the the styling on the current IS, specially in F-sport. I think it will look good many years to come.

'Must be the sunroof then. But I still think I sit high in the IS. I prefer the seat position in CT, nice and low.

So you are about 193cm? And you don't have problem with the seat? Can you post a pic of you sitting in the driver seat?

I'm 190cm and I do think the seat position is a bit high. I wish the seat could go a bit lower. My seat goes almost allway back and if I straight my back my head is touching the roof. By the way, I have sunroof. Also, the bottom of the seat is too short to offer any good support of the legs and the lumbar support is too high too. So on long joury I'm moving the seat position alltime and my back hurts. I think it could be great if IS has the seat from the CT200h or the new GS. I've tried both and they are so much better than the seat in IS. Ps, I do think its strange that the girl in the review think the seat is high. She looks short. :D

I have this annoying robotic noise from behind the dash when I start up the car (even with fan off and all vents closed!). See the recorded video below. The noise appears at 00:12, 00:16, 00:24, 00.32. You might have to turn the volume all way up to hear it (It sounds quite louder than in the video). At its worst, it gives a series of high noises (every one as loud as in 00:32). Its annoying as hell! What is it??? Ps. The noise only appears at the start up, not under driving.

It is Glacier frost mica. Also called Blueish pearl. Can't say I like it that much. It looks like when my car (Tungsten pearl) is dirty in a sunny day. Its not white not silver, something between white and silver. Quite odd.

Many of the 350s sold in US has 17" wheels as standard. So I don't think it should be a problem...

She makes the CT200 looks HUGE.

Well, I'll be surprised if they did test the car in cold winter. Few examples here: 1, My rear view camera doesn't like cold temp and doesn't want to work in below -10C. 2, Auto-folding wing mirrors often freeze in closed position when I unlock the car. Had to push them out manually. 3, It takes AGES to heat up the car. Both the engine and the cabin. It takes approx. 20km motorway drive to get the engine warmed up and at least 15 minutes to get the cabin somewhat warm (I set the temp at 30C on full blow). Well, it's like sitting in a freezer every morning. Also, NO AWD models available for a country that really need it. WTF?!?! All othe makers Lexus compete with offer AWD.

Ok, dealer confirmed that the camera is bad. They will replace it with a new one.

I'm from Sweden. It's pretty cold here this time of year It was -13c this morning and the camera didn't work at the first start-up. The screen stays at NAV and just wont switch to the camera view. Everything works fine though. I drove the car to the dealer (3 minutes from my home) and the camera worked when I left the dealer 10 minutes after. It doesn't like cold weather... My dealer has already check it once last winter and found nothing. I just want to check if anyone else experience the same problem so I know if this is another surprising "feature" of the car..

I never checked that as I was sitting in the car and too lazy to get out again... Will check it tomorrow morning.

I have 18" 225/40 studded winter tires. Works great actually. I drive about 60km everyday and it's plenty of snow here. temperature this morning: -20C :duh:

Why don't get a set of good studded winter tire. I even drive with ECT PWR switched on in heavy snow without any problem. Well I did get stuck once on my parking lot. But that was the only time.

I had the same concern when I asked my dealer to fix it. The tech did a good job though. Now a year later I have no more noise from the center dash area. BTW, before the fix it sounds like I'm getting multiple stone chips on the windscreen. It was pretty bad. I also had a super annoying click-click-click noise from behind. A new technician at my dealership finally found what cause this noise and the solution was to remove the entire rear glass and re-glue it back. Now I have almost no more weird noise! The only thing is that all these problems took a year to get addressed with multiple visit at my dealer. Every time I'm there I get this "Nooo, not him again!!!" look from the service advisor. Quite entertaining actually.

Same on my car when it was new and my dealer fixed it. Just take your car to the dealer and let them fix it for you. There is a service note for this problem.

Did you repositioned it in Drive or Reverse position? I seem to remember if I adjust the mirror position when its tilted in reverse it comes back lower when I switch to Drive... How do you "save" the settings? Same as seat memory. You press and hold any of the 1 2 3 button on the door and press set.

Well, I got this problem last winter when temperature dropped to -20c for few days. When I start the car in the morning and put in reverse the screen doesn't switch to rear view camera. Everything else works but the camera. This happened like 3 - 4 times last winter. It will work again after a hours warm up in a garage. My dealer couldn't find anything wrong. Has this happened to anyone else?
