  1. quick question. if i was to change the stock back box with a hks one (which is what i want to do) would it invalidate the 3yr warrenty, or just the exhaust warrenty ? cheers.
  2. i'll take one too if its £30 or less. i'm cheap.
  3. I dunno if the insurance will be as high as everyone reckons. When i was 19 (now 24) and just past my test, getting insured proved to be odd. It was gonna cost me 3k for a rover 400 1.8td. So i started to ask for stupid quotes, like a quote on a Ford Mustang Saleen 4.6 V8 special edition lhd. The quotes i got back ranged from 1.3k-1.5k. Very odd indeed, now i've got a lexus and the insurance is cheaper than the rover, around 1.7k cheaper to be exact, with no no-claims. However i do believe that your post code makes one hell of difference in the insurance quote as well.
  4. Golf driver get right on my t*ts. especially the 1.6 ones. they seem to think they can burn anyone off. mind you so do the gti drivers, proved one of those drivers wrong. thought he could burn me off but the little is200 is more powerful than people think. also woman audi drivers seem to like tail gating me on the most twisty country roads ever.
  5. The guys name is jim kelly, perhaps the coolest character in enter the dragon. i guess others would argue different. Cheers for the info guys, now i can "understand" why the supercharger option is used instead or turbo.
  6. I've noticed that most people have used superchargers in their IS200's. Just wondering why people are going down that route. My knowledge of engines is limited, but if a supercharger was giving out say 4psi and turbo was giving also giving out 4psi wouldn't the overall gains in power be roughly the same ? Or am i just just talking sh*t ? Or could it just simply be that the IS200 engine is more suited to the supercharging method ?
  7. thats some cheap quotes, you guys dont even want to know what i have to pay. but then again when i was driving my rover 400 1.8td, it costs the same as it does now for the lex. however for some reason they did class the o'l rover as sports car as they said "it has a turbo badge". Oh and insurance on a ford mustang saleen was cheaper than the rover as well. go figure, insurance companies must make up these figures on the fly. el_gencer.
  8. hi everybody just made the jump to gold, however i'm wondering how do i wangle the discounts at my lexus dealership. the lex is due for its first service, and i'm guessing that it wont cost much anyway but the discount would be nice. My dealership is in * if thats of any use. cheers el_gencer.
  9. i'm located in yorkshire, but i dont mind trekking around for it.
  10. does anyone where you can purchase the Legana (Neo Customise sports) bodykit ? it would appear that most bodykits for the is200/altezza come from japan.
