You could do, but its not advisable. If the belt is worn then so is the idler and tensioner, Replace them all matey as while you have the belt off its makes sense to do all three..imo

Im no mechanic, but could it be a sticking thermostat? Had similiar thing happen a car a few years back that caused the same problems.

Its the 1st of Jan tomorrow, it would be nice to know where we are going with this and get it up and running, for a suggestion if fil4362 is up for it he could do the North West (Sorry for nominating you fil) and I dont mind having a go at the East (Cambs, Bed, Herts and Essex) unless someone else volunteers. The other half just complained that the washing machine, was clanking and banging, once it finished we opened it up to find that the noise was my key fob, keyring and clubcard, well i stripped it down, dried it the best i can and put it in the airing cupboard. Now all i hope it works as i cant find my spare car and with this cold weather i dont want to have to walk to the station which is 3 miles away. Any other suggestions welcomed. Any of you done the same thing and did your still work????

I forgot the name of the pub didnt have the sat nav or my mobile with me, i had a ride around and found the Blue Lion and some other pub that down towards the river and recreation ground but it wasnt the Plough, the only Lexus i saw had a private plate and it was dark blue and that as i came out of the turning onto the Newmarket road near Bottisham / Fen Ditton turning. Dont give up yet, maybe we need to push it a bit more next time..

The fronts are not that bad to do yourself, im sure that one of the members that live near you would give you hand if you asked them and kept them supplied with tea.

There was one of these on ebay, a few months back and i think that went for over the £300.

Not sure if any one else has suffered from this? The other night when i was waiting for a friend to turn up and it was a little chilly, i kept the engine ticking over so the heater would work (about 30 mins), friend turned out we went away and when the night was over about 4 hours later, the car was a right pain to get going and still doesnt seem to start as good as it did, it seems to run ok. Its an 04 IS200 with 64k Any ideas?
