  13. Gents, After leaving work last friday, with a colleague in his own car behind me.. he told me this morning he noticed 'lots' of water shooting out of my exhaust when i put my foot down... I know a few drops etc is the condensation.. but would there be lots of water?? Maybe he is exaggerating with the 'lots' part.. but was adament it seemed too much to be coming out of an exhaust. is this normal? what are your thoughts? thanks in advance for your advice. Izzy
  14. Shahz - i'm assuming if you get CD like quality ..yours must not be the AUX connection but the mains connection.. that plugs into the bottom of the ipod?
  15. hi mate thanks for the info - i will be purchasing either the MT-90 or the Silkolene SILKTRAN SYN 5 75W-90 unfortunatley mt 90 is only sold in quantities of 1 x US Quart (0.946L) - 2 litres is required for the gearbox.. so unfortunately even buying x 2 that will not be enough :-( whereas silkolene comes in 1ltr so x2 will suffice. thoughts/advice? cheers
  16. cheers m8 thats made me feel better lol shall i just put 80w/90w cus thats what i have got ot work and its free lol . cheers greg. Greg, keep us posted on whether the oil makes any difference. cheers
  17. just called opie Oils - been advised this MT-90 is the same oil as the Silkolene SILKTRAN SYN 5 75W-90 Fully Synthetic Gear Oil-1litre can anyone comment on this Silkolene gear oil?
  18. Hmmm, that's not good. I got a pair of Klipsch S4s and it made a considerable difference, the sound quality is still not brilliant but it's acceptable. Unfortunately it is the iPod that's weak here, if I do a direct comparison through my Bluetouch off the iPod or an SD card there is a massive difference in sound quality. So if it's the same with headphones and via the car kit it's the iPod that's at fault and nothing else. I've tried other iPods as well and it's the same issue. I can't be bothered to get another car kit right now but if I get a car with a USB input then I'll probably get rid of the iPod and get a different music player. mate what connection do you have for the ipod? aux or the main connection that plugs into the charge kit at bottom? im sure the AUX connection gives you lesser sound quality
  19. also how much is required for the gearbox?
  20. Hi All, anyone used the Redline MT-90 oil for their Gearbox.. if so do they recommend it? I'm thinking of buying some. thanks
  21. Agree with Parthiban. I just got an iPod Touch and the Grom kit to fit in the IS200. I replaced the iPod earphones straight away with good Sennheisers and sound quality is still poor. Plugged into the Grom sound quality is the same but a slight tweek of bass mid and treble helps things a little. The Grom is a great bit of kit. Well worth the price. hi do you also have an Aux in like parthiban or a proper ipod connection?
  22. ?? sorry i dont get what point your making in your message? is it just the difference your noticing... ? your fuel appears to be higher after the ECu reset? hmmm its probably just initially..possibly later just settles back to normal. can i ask how you reset your ECU and why? cheers
  23. nice one mate.. let us know how it goes :-)
  24. If it was your caliper im sure you would notice the burning smell and the heat from the disc... my caliper was stuck a while back and this was exactly what it was doin.. swinging to the left..but then saying that when i took my foot off the pedal it would slow down very quick and was obv something was sticking/grinding. possible your breaks? jack the car up and see if the wheels rotate easily.. if not then, you have narrowed down the problem cheers Izzy
