  1. Sorry Bazza, It was at 795 at TDI web site.. My mistake. :o
  2. I have 3.7 on CD rom based NAV, purchased from Lexus dealer 2 months ago.
  3. I was thinking about my next add on, with the TTE SC now installed, i drive the car much harder, thus the car feels a tad unstable. I was looking at the TTE springs and coilover kit, about 700 quid i think, and the TTE anti roll bar kit 350 or so. Is it an idea to match brands, as i know the TTE roll bar kit has levels of stiffness adj.. Whats the difference between that and say the HKS one? is it worth spending the 700 pounds on the spring and coilover kit, or will the standard shocks handle lowering springs with simular results? I know its a much talked about topic, but with so much brands out there now, i thought i'd ask. Also has anyone got this kit, and how happy they are with it, or fancy a change? As with any purchase, one always finds another better kit being launched/produced after they spent their hard earned cash..........sob's law or something. Opinions will be much appreciated..
  4. With my air con on, it drops down the rpm at idle, it uses a tad more fuel... but what a benefit at this present mo with the weather, worth burning that extra bit of fuel i say !! B)
  5. Nice one Duncan..... We can swap movies now, you'll have more then me in your 10 disc DVD changer, can't wait for the pictures..
  6. After looking at Zee's car at JAE and advice from a well clued up person.... I brought the HKS guage. Can't quite remember where the vacum hose went. The bottom one of the 2 in the NS of engine bay... but they do route up,down, left,right... is there a particular point to look for, before I tap the wrong hose?
  7. I'm gonna Pass By too ..... Prob's after 8pm see u's there .. :winky:
  8. Joined GOLD this morning, now await upto 24 hour's before i can see you guy's on the other side .....
  9. Just got them fitted, have to take photos at night as the daytime ones don't show up very well.. but all i can say is............. THIS IS THE CLOSEST THING I'VE EVEN SEEN TO HID LOOK. taking in mind i have HID's. The Phillips BLUE are no way near CLOSE when you compare how white these X-WHITES are..... :) A must BUY...... I did get a sample price from George but I think he mentioned at the JAE show somewhere in the region of £65/pair.... I have George's contact number's if you IM me.
  10. Its a black box size of 2 packs of playing cards together, it converts a standard NTSC video signal ( phono ) into RGB, which the standard Lexus screen accepts, you can do the wiring both at the back, Navi box or at the front screen. Theres 2 looms containing your Red,Green,Blue,Sync cables which wire into the existing RGB Navi/monitor loom just cut, and they are marked up screen and navi then a power and GND connection via a switch, when this gets power it interupts Navi display and displays your phono input. The cost so far is approx £225 + Vat and i'm sure as a Lexus dealer you can probaly source at this price from NAV TV. Hope this helps Chris.
  11. Yes, going to Join GOLD MEMBERS this weekend, as I realised there are hugh benifits of being GOLD...... Plus i thinky the money helps the club and after what they put on at JAE I'll be delighted to help ! for those who didn't attend JAE, there was plenty of beer, food and entertainment.......... well done LOC ! :)
  12. Manage to get hold of an adaptor from a company called NAV TV based here in the UK, Cardiff to get a DVD picture on the OEM NAV screen, works with all Lexus models with Navigator.. Did find the adaptor only accepts NTSC signals though, but worked fine with my DVD player, a PAL version of the box is still in development . Thinking someone on LOC may organise a group purchase for those interested, and let me know... as i might be able to get a better price on it.... B)
  13. Just got in the post this morning my :winky: bulbs from George at JAE ( i'm sure those who were there will remember buying reverse bulbs of him ) I will get these fitted and checked out to compare them with my existing phillips blue ones, which i must say has always looked extreemly yellow when compared with my HID's. George at the show has seen these and laughed them off stating that his X-Whites do EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAY ON THE BOX.. emm we'll have to see... :) will post the pics soon as i fit .... http://groups.msn.com/LexusDDE/shoebox.msn...Photo&PhotoID=3
  14. Just wondering if anyone has tryed this, or whether they would be suitible.. I can't remember seeing any over JAE on the IS's that were there? It would be rather nice to get rid of that long metal stem and hook.......
  15. Great weekend.... great cars too... Well done to all who took part ... Very nice people at LOC.... Can't wait for the next one already.......
  16. I got a set too.. i totally agree with Ifraz's comments......... but they do look the part.... a little pricy i thought. Spoke to George about getting the HID look full beam bulb... so i keep you posted when i get them and compare them to my existing Phillips blue.
  17. IT WAS MORE BRILLIANT THEN THE S U N ! !
  18. I know of these areas mentioned, and Brent cross will not be a good idea on a saturday ! far too much Weekend drivers about (if u know what i mean) and traffic from hell.. Ace Cafe sounds like a better bet, but do remember the trek from North circ to staples corner (J1) will be a bit of a mission, unless you fancy crusing speed... i'd go for the latar as a better option though... the service station sounds like a better bet, or perhaps the HOLIDAY INN carpark... no one will miss where that is. How come you guys are setting off so late...... remember to make time to show and shine when you get there ! I was thinking of getting there about 9-10am. Be good to know actully for those who are attending their first day at JAE for Saturday which would be a good time to be there? as I have never been before......
  19. Cheers guys, glad you liked them... with Matt's instructions on how to take the headlight apart in another thread, that was an o.k job, but getting the thing back together and removing the excess (bubble gum) glue.....WOW! wouldn't want to do that again... I had to drill a 5mm hole just above the smaller lamp above the front reflector edge, not damaging or touching the reflector at all and made it "oval like" to pass both optics for the small lamp through, then silled it up with silicon.. your most welcome to take a closer look at JAE.... i took a few photos, i'll post them too..
  20. thats a good point, i will take some after dark today, and add them to the post. Here they are, hope you like them.. :) http://groups.msn.com/LexusDDE/shoebox.msn...Photo&PhotoID=2 http://groups.msn.com/LexusDDE/shoebox.msn...Photo&PhotoID=1 If anyone can place these photos in an easier accessable link, please do so...
  21. cheers matt, that would be appreciated...
  22. Fitted my DDE (angel eyes) too, from Umittza... needed to do a few mod's to the rings for them to fit though... but looking EVIL when LIT..... want to see "FARGO"s ones now... look out for me at JAE !
  23. Just wanted to say it was money WELL Spent... feels like i'm driving a different car altogether now !!!! well still my fav is200 sport... Thanks for your late help Mark (TDI) for the special part on saturday afternoon... althought i did the fitment myself, I must say, it did take me 8 hours of hard work... but well worth it !!! will book into TDI after JAE to get it checked.... just in case i'm not getting full power or something,...... Although i would have loved to used the experience of TDi and their staff for the install, i can't do without my car for 1/2 days with setup and testing.....
  24. thanks matt... i guess that clarifys my question. so pay per car to get in, i am going to camp sat night only, arriving saturday too when the show will probally be its busiest, will it be easy to park on the LOC site still? do you know whether the camp site is like totally far away from where the cars will be parked? also once parked, can the cars be moved easily, or will it be a question of park up, unload your tents/etc, walk to the camp site set up........ and the car stays put till you leave the next day? emm...... it sounds wicked already !!!! just didn't want to look like a lost chicken when i got there.... cheers matt.
  25. hi all, just wondering how it all works, i know one has to pay to get in, what if ones camping too, as well as wanting to show his/her car ? (this might sound like a DUH question) but i've never been before....cheers
