I don't know it this topic has been discussed before, but i managed to get into the group buy for the TTE supercharger offered up by TDi (Mark). What i would like to know from those who have one is; Without any other mod's but the supercharger, what power gains are achieved, 0-60 times and bhp. what additional power gains can be achieved with extra add ons, like exhaust, induction kit, larger intercoolers etc.. sorry if i sound dim, but i'm not that mechanical minded. I also read about the stage 1 upgrade, is it worth doing? thanks for any input.

the sat nav doesn't mute all the speakers in the IS, but attenuates the fronts, yes, you can turn up the volume of the navi voice as mentioned in this link. so i don't think theres anything wrong with yourone, but to get the updated disc which should be available from lexus dealers as from Jan 03, as i been told by my local dealer.

on my is200 Navigator model. the telephone mute wire is on the external amplifier located on the right hand side of the glove box. its the bottom loom, (the smaller of the 2) and the telephone mute wire is red with yellow stripe with silver hoops. if connecting a nokia car kit, then the yellow wire from the nokia kit can be soldered directly to this wire and hey presto..... tel muting is achieved.

I just fitted my 7" screens in my is200 too, together with an x box simular mods to the one mentioned.. and a 10 disc multi region DVD changer. the picture on the move is great. and with the tinted glass in the sport model, help any unrequired glare. you'll be pretty surprised how much screens can actully cost, my ones are ntsc/pal and have multiple inputs. will post a picture over the weekend.

I was told today by my local lexus dealer that a new cd rom based sat nav cd is to be released in January, is this true? I mentioned to my dealer that my 2000 model is200 navigation could not find any new address on the menu system... when i say new, these roads have been there for at least 7 years.. especially the newly built houses in delelopment estates (col de sac type).. has anyone else had the same problem..?

there is a tel mute wire on the on board amp on a is200 navigator.. i did it on mine.. also autoleads do a nice rightangle holder. so no holes drilled in dash! i.m me if you want the color and location of mute wire.

i had my is200 sport for 8 months now, its just gone in for a 30k service (v reg) i got the same problem as you have with the indicator. the dealer told me its to do with the position of the steering wheel, i find when i am on a roundabout and then indicate left, take the turn, then it doesn't cancel. i drive other is200's on a daily basis, and some have the same problem as mine, but those that don't obviously must not have this problem, i suggest a wear and tear or faulty part to them. they since have ordered some parts and my car is due into them again in 3 weeks time. hence they are also changing 5 alloys under warranty too :)

i got the clifford system in my is200. concept 500 with intellistart, headlight activation, trunk release, window roll ups etc etc.... great piece of kit...the clifford maxrix system is new, a totally different system to that of the G4 range. slightly cheaper though... just make sure you get a good installation done.. did mine all myself! works everytime and no false alarms either.

IS200 stereo mod.. there is away of getting an RCA preout from the factory stereo. theres a hide away amplifier behind the left side of the glove box, 2 10mm bold to undo this plus releasing the factory harness, this one is for a navigator model, but sure think the non navigater has the same on board amp. you'll have to open up the amp, and can solder on to the input/output power amp ic. but you can obtain FL/FR/RL/RR from here... can still mute the system too if you have a phone kit added..

my sat nav is the worst thing ever!!! i have changed my factory sat nav unit for an alpine one, running on the factory screen now. it's not the software either. its just the worst thing ever!!!! takes me the wrong way, the long way... everything but the right way! it's absolutely useless and not worth the money i paid for it.........................!!!

I was driving behind a 02 Lexus the other day, the car was black but the rear light clusters looked like the originals with the read tail ligt/brake light, but the surounding area was black instead of silver like on the original units.. this was no rear light conversion cover or anything, as it looked totally stock and made the car look the part... can anyone shed a light on this.? am i missing the point? is this a new thing? or perhaps on a IS 300? sure it wore IS200 badges...any thoughts?:info:

My Is200 has electronic leveling on the headlight, same as my bmw 330ci. as for legal requirements, they export the kits worldwide..so i thing thats why thay state that... i heard that if fitted to a car, the car must also be equip with headlight wash wipe... never glared anyone with mine before...and they are exactly the same as the factory upgrades on my BMW

My IS200 sport is the standard lighting system, the HID kit comes complete with all looms relays and connectors..its simply plug and play, power and ground at the battery, mount the ballace's for the Xonon bulbs...and hey presto.. it took me an hour to do mine.

I KNOW LOADS OF YOU BEEN WAITING FOR THIS... i found all the pin outs from the navigator this afternoon, will be modding my navigator this week for dvd input. i will keep you all posted with what is needed...sit tight .. its not a lost cause.. you will require a RGB to video input adapter and a swith... but i have already mocked it up and it works, not had enough time to fit my dvd as yet..

I POSTED THIS IN THE WRONG PLACE.. BUT I AM CURRENTLY UPGRADING MY SYSTEM IN MY IS200 NAVIGATOR. ADDING DVD AND X-BOX TO FACTORY NAVIGATOR SCREEN TOO. AS WELL AS RETAINING THE STOCK HEADUNIT AND ADDING AMPS AND EQ'S.. WATCH THIS SPACE FOR PICTURES..

COMPLETE XENON HID CONVERSION FROM AUTOLAMPS-ONLINE.COM AT £350 YES... I HAVE A SET ON MY IS200 SPORT.. THE NUT'S.. 9006 KIT.

I got my 1/0 guage through the factory grommet on the passenger side of the engine bay by the top. no holes drilled! and ran it all the way to the boot.. no bumps in the carpet neither

For those wo don't know, but i have installed a complete Xenon light upgrade to my IS200 Sport, this kit is the nut's..easy to install and gives the car a factory Xenon look, like on some higher spec Lexus. check out the site at Autolamps-online.com for a remarkable service..make sure you order the correct kit though 9006 . I hope i can post this..
