What an old motor engineer would have done is get his longest screwdriver 12 - 18 inches long and then place it on various parts he felt was the culprit and then put his ear to it. The nearer it got to the fault the louder and crisper the sound. Give it a go, if nothing else it will make you look as though you know what your doing. Mike

Sorry to hear you are still having problems. You will find that if you cant get that engine management light to go off it will fail the MOT. All engine management lights must shine and then go off in the normal manner for it to pass so even trying bypass that light wont work as it wont have lite in the first place. Sorry to add yet another problem to your ever increasing pile of issues. Mike Must have a friendly MOT man then as it's passed twice with the light on. Mike Apparently only came in during August this year. Mike

Lexus LS owners are such intelligent people if not the most intelligent in the universe. We have cars which are the best engineered, the best put together, the most comfortable, with the best audio systems, with the greatest V8 engine which is coupled to the smoothest gearbox and to buy all this costs very little to buy the car and then on top of that we are paying less than half for fuel with LPG over petrol, its no wonder that Lexus LS LPG owners are the happiest people in the universe except poor Pete who is having real troubles with his LPG system .... .... and poor MikeSands :( Mike Are you still having trouble?? That was probably about the same time, 1970's I was using the now long gone great Cafe all with a proper Juke Box and a Pinball machine and I was earning a living installing and modifying Traffic Lights for SGE which then became GEC. They were great times. Mike I think it was the early 90s when I was in the business, I remember the Rowe Ami R70 (1970) up to the R90 (1990), it all went pear shaped when CD juke boxes came in. Don't forget when you buy 45s they will need "Dinking" for a Juke Box. Anyway having completely Hijacked this thread, my LS400 is getting nothing for Christmas, it has treats throughout the year so Baa Humbug! Also don't forget a Lexus is not just for Christmas so if you think you may get bored with it after a few weeks don't buy one, Lexus dealers are always swamped with unwanted and unloved Lexus cars abandoned on their forecourts in Janauary. Love it. Mike

Bought mine a rear bumper respray this week, just to tidy it up. And I bought myself a Rock-Ola jukebox from the 70's! I like your style. Strawberry milkshakes and Hamburgers all over Christmas. Rock-a hula-rock-rock-a-hula. Mike I haven't even got it out of the car yet, just off to do it now. It's got quite a lot of 45's in it so I'm interested to know what they are. Knowing my luck it'll be the Nolans and Ken Dodd! Your luck cant be that bad. Mike .....as it happens my luck can be that bad, Madonna, Jimmy Sommerville etc! Disappointing considering the selection labels are John Lee Hooker, Traffic, Hendrix and the like. Still, I didn't buy it expecting any to be in it. It'll be good tracking old 45's down. Not to worry, you can have great fun searching around for all those great 45's. Up early Sunday mornings and get around those car boots. Mike That's right. I've already found some at a local charity shop for 50p each. I am quite envious as I have always wanted one of those Juke Boxes but thats a step to far for my forgiving wife. Mike

When I first had a car converted 16 years ago all my friends said exactly the same thing but I didn't let that put me off. I was paying 28p a litre then, today I am spending 68p, yes its risen 40p but still way behind petrol prices. The other thing that will help keep the price down is that should the government start piling on the taxes and bringing the price up to that of petrol their green credentials will be sunk over night and seriously damage their credibility and that will cost them billions. So you do have a safe guard. The other thing to remember also is that running on LPG keeps engine contaminants at bay because LPG burns much cleaner and what comes out of your exhaust is far more environmentally friendly than petrol exhaust. Don't mess around go LPG. Mike
