  1. Thanks for putting the link, I knew I had missed something of the posting but couldn't think what it was. Mike
  2. 'Dispatches' Did anybody see this last night? If you did you are probably gob smacked if not fear not set your Sky + for Thursday 2.05 am for a repeat. Its actually during the early hours of Friday morning but the TV listings don't know when one day starts and another one finishes. Mike.
  3. South Wales ?? You live next door to Profess Gas in Hengoed they will convert your pride & joy to LPG in a day and they do a fantastic job. Mike
  4. Hello and welcome to the best kept secret in motoring the LS400. We are a friendly bunch and there is always plenty of help on hand to newbys such as yourself to help you into the ownership of the greatest car on the road today (for normal people, yes, I would have a Bugatti Veyron when I win the lottery) I would still keep my Lexus. There are lots of unloved LSs out there and you need to avoid them like the plague, there are some nice ones that come onto the market but you just have to be patient. If cars are a long distance from you, you can always ask if there is a member near by that could take a quick look for elimination purposes. Good luck Mike
  5. The thing is that unless you get a reliable diagnoses you can keep changing parts till the cows come home and its just expense after expense and money down the drain if it doesn't cure the problem. Why don't you give Process a ring and tell them what system you have fitted and then tell them your dilemma and see if they can help you. Mike
  6. Do you suffer the same with petrol ? if not I wouldn't have thought that was a problem Mike
  7. We used to own a Mondeo ST24 and what a pile of crap compared to the Mk 4 LS400 we have now owned for coming up to 3 years. The ST24 was LPG converted and it was still a pile of crap. Thing is your asking devotees of the greatest mark on earth so to get anyone to say anything positive for the Mondeo is going to be difficult. There was one thing I did enjoy with the Mondeo and that's when I saw it disappear with its new owner. Mike
  8. Just as a matter of interest, at what age does this start happening? Is 43 too young? ;) I cant remember. Mike
  9. Sorry Oh wise one from the north. I will remember for the future. Hows your LPG problem? Mike
  10. It always amazes me that women are quick to tell us that they can multitask so why is it they cant have a headache and s*x at the same time? Ladies its just a joke I love you all. Mike
  11. Being an EX HGV driver Class 1 i often had to reverse blind, so i good look at the parking spot as i was passing helped me take a mental picture of what i needed to do, this 430 slide's into most gaps that some people with a smart would struggle with, hence not the need for the reverse camera, did try one and boy was it hard to do no feeling there. Trouble is as you get older you soon forget what your meant to be doing and doubting what you have just surveyed so a reversing camera would be a great extra. Mike
  12. I don't know what the difference is between Traders and Dealers they all know how to lie and leave out important info had you of known at the time of purchase would mean you wouldn't have bought it in the first place. Always remember that when you are buying a car today it is the rarest car on this earth and he could sell it a hundred times over for the screen price easily. Take that same car back to him a week later and suddenly there is just no call for this type of car any more. I understand that sellers of cars as a living have to make a profit and I don't have problem with that what I cant deal with are the deceit and lies from the. I know of one LS400 98 MK IV in Hampshire the dealer has had for sale now approaching 3 years. It still sits at the back of the barn where his cars are stored and he is still to lazy to pull it out when possible customers come to see it even with appointments made 3 days in advance. When these LS go through auctions such as British Cat Auctions which just down the road from me you would be astonished at just how low these cars make as the hammer goes down. I have seen MK 4s go through with 100k on the clock and all keys for £300. The dealers are frightened of them as they know it will be a difficult car to sell which means they would have to actually work hard to sell it and hard work is something that doesn't sit well with any dealer/trader. Here endeth todays lesson, I will now go and find a darkend room with a nice cup of tea and have a play of the latest Joe Bonamassa DVD, Christmas present. Mike
  13. I agree but the prospective buyers DO have to read the ad. The number of times viewers ask questions that are already answered can be very frustrating :megaangry: I agree this can be frustrating but I am talking about those who deliberately leave out mileage, number of pre owners etc if you have nothing to hide then put down all the info you know we the buying public are going to need and the more you put down in the way of info the more confidence that gives your prospective buyers. Mike
  14. I have always found that when looking for a car especially Ebay or Autotrader instead of reading adverts first look at how many pictures have been posted and the detail shown in them then just how detailed is the description just those two things will speak volumes for the condition of the car. If you have to ask what the mileage is forget it. Mike
  15. Yep thats the 2 one with 74K ????looked like 374k & the other with 115k, (good history & well maintained) Too many scrapes & dinks + had front passenger door painted, filler on rh rear quarter rusty wheel arch. Climate control not working , suspension stuck & keyless entry didn't work. So would you say that's a No then?? Mike.
  16. Have a great New Lexus 2013 year to all you Lexus fans. Mike
  17. Hello MJM, Have you tried Motability themselves as they install them into all sorts of cars. http://www.motability.co.uk/ Mike
  18. Out of all the extra standard toys I would like a reversing camera, just because advancing age means you aren't as supple as you used to be, great safety feature as well. Mike
