  2. There is a dealer about 3 miles outside of Southend (Rayleigh ?) anyway must be near you if you are looking in Leigh so might be worth a comparision trip down there ? Lexus Hadleigh is the "Leigh" dealership.
  3. Fidgits Just noticed your current avatar
  4. BLACK 'cus: suits the flared arches highlights clear lenses best contrast for the alloys looks great debadged suits tints good residual not loads about (well compared plat ice) car looks lower as shadow and car 'blend' BUT . . . There all nice aren't they ? (even White )
  5. There is a dealer about 3 miles outside of Southend (Rayleigh ?) anyway must be near you if you are looking in Leigh so might be worth a comparision trip down there ? Good luck anyway. BTW - colour - I would go with black every time but obviously it's personal taste. Plat ice is nice but most people would agree there are a lot of them about. Blue is good. Red is very nice but you need to be a bit brave ! I would also go Exmoor interior over Oakham but again personal taste.
  6. Details of my recent haggle as a guide for you: Brand new IS 200 SE manual (in black with exmoor) with mats and flaps. £19450. GBP. Think I could also shave about another £100 off or get a sport grill put on if I was determined enough. Service packages are a good extra to haggle for but in my experience they (dealers) are a bit reluctant to offer them up - prefering instead to offer extras such as flaps, paintwork protection (supraguard ?) etc. If you do decide to go for a brand new one post a topic on the forum first before signing up with your local dealership. There are a few members here who are Lexus dealers and will probably cut a better deal for you. If you don't mind almost new and don't want dealer facilities certainly put a post up as you will be made a great offer on an import.
  7. Shouldn't you be a super then ? :)

  9. Well at least you know that you car won't crash at night now that it has . . . . seen the light.
  10. Does anyone know of a dealer offering 5 % ? Post their locations please - will def. deal at that rate !
  11. Lexus Hatfield offered me 8.6 on a 3 year PCP. Not good. No sale.
  12. Chris Pardon my ignorance - are you a Lexus dealer ?
  13. There are 2 just in my road and I see loads every day. On the odd occasion that I have done the school run there are usually about 2 or 3 Lex RX300 parked at the school. Of the ones in my road 1 is a blue sport - very new (UK 03 plate) - it's a company car and I'm not sure she knows quite what she has got. Her husband has a 7 series beemer - you get the picture. The other is a plat ice heap. they are a big family and the car is a right state and always full of toys, McDonalds packaging etc. Urghhh ! I regularly see a LOC sticker 200 on the M1 near Watford around quarter to 6 in the morning. It's a grey sport - who is it ?
  14. Don't think this image has already been posted / discussed. Apologies if it has. More info / source: http://www.autofiend.com/modules.php?name=...=article&sid=51
  15. Also a part of MOT - once a vehicle is over 3 years old in the UK you need the certificate that is issued by the official testing the vehicle in order to pay our taxes for road use. When you are buying a used car in the UK previous MOT documents are useful as the mileage at the time of the test is recorded - providing a form of mileage check for perspective buyers.
  16. Colour is very subjective isn't it. I guess you could just say 'I like it so I'm going to have it'. Problem is thats fine if things like depreciation don't matter. In all honesty MOST people wouldn't consider an IS in yellow - I'm currently looking so in quite a good position to judge. We (potential buyers) are trying to buy into a quality brand with a bit of a sporty edge, luxurious but not flash - to me thats the IS. Now don't wish to offend anyone 'cus obvioulsy people out there will have these colours but IMHO: plat ice nice but lots about - choice of the company car driver blue - always looks clean, easy to sell on red - for the brave, only looks good when spotless and gleaming - best colour for de badge white - fine for the police but not for me thanks green - classy, great with Oakham - understated black - ah black, the colour for the IS - shows off the alloys well, suits the flared arches - all in all the best Of course when all is said and done - if you like it then it's good !
  17. Well done - enjoy. Did you better the P/X or get anything else thrown in ?
  18. My thoughts exactly. Strange that isn't it ? Diamond 2216 - care to tell us more about yourself ?
  19. Claire Tell 'em the IS430 will be there - you will be over subscribed
  20. Sounds nice but it must be black with exmoor.
  21. :tsktsk: Thanks for your efforts anyway. Uk Pulse - not sure 'bout that one - it is a year older than the car I was looking at, only 3K less miles and the same price. However do you have eperience of the dealer - what is the likelhood of getting £1500 off screen ? The book for that is about £13 500. Thanks all for looking anyway - I will get there eventually.
  22. Wildrnes Sorry just got your pm - I'm on nights at the moment so can't call you. If you saw the car perhaps you could post some comments on this thread - alternativly I will call you early next week when I'm back in the land of the living.
  23. Yeah thanks - already seen that one - see quoted post above.
