  1. It was at a crossroads, as in + , and because she had to cross a carriageway to get to the carriageway she wanted to travel on, she has the greater duty of care, as i did not have to cross to get in the direction i wanted to go. This is all from the insurance company, not me, and they are adament that the third party is liable here. Stu
  2. i think that basically paul is saying that the deal he got ages ago for the it's a knockout was at a better price than can be done anywhere else. So, any suggestions peeps, or am i gonna have to work solo on it? Stu
  3. UPDATE: Well, the accident happened on the 18th November 04, and after almost three months of pestering and hassling the insurance company, they authorised the repairs to my car today! I have had a real tough time getting them to authorise the work, and it's not through the cost factor, it's just the engineer has never been avaliable to talk with my garage. So, on Thursday last week, i informed the insurance company that until such times as the repairs had been authorised, and the liability had been resolved, i would be ringing every day. Funny thing was, i only had to ring for two days to get the repairs authorised! Now the liability is a different thing altogether. basically they are still disputing, but my guys are on the case, and have informed me that her accident report is very vauge, and in places, contradictory, so they will be looking for some law or something in the highway code that will help fight the case, and will not accept liability for the accident (even though the third party is claiming that i accepted liability at the road side, errr, don't think so!). Sounds like i'm in for some more fun and games with it all for a little while, but i intend to keep ringing them every single day until it's resolved, and i get my 4 years NCB! (fingers, legs, toes, arms and eyes crossed!) Stu
  4. if we're going to do it as a sports event, i'd say that finding a venue that has the facilities for both paintball and sports is going to be a very hard job. And it ain't gonna cost a lot per member is it? Just a few quid to get the hire of the facilities for the day, and the more that enter, the cheaper it gets, and anything we take on entry, food etc, will go to the charity. Stu
  5. OK, so now all we need is to decide on is: 1. the sports that will be played 2. where we are going to do this 3. finance stuff 4. prizes etc 5. and wait to see the response from TOC If you have any suggestions for any of the above, please post up here! Stu
  6. It won't be an it's a knockout event as such, but a team sports contest. It shouldn't cost a huge amount, but that very much depends on the venue, and type of sports being played (insurance purposes). Stu
  7. There are endless posibilities with doing something like this, and apart from the serious charity event side of things, it'll be a laugh! Come on guys!! Stu
  8. I remember that actually paul, how much interest did you get in that? Stu
  9. If it's arranged as a team sports day, we could field teams for each sport that is goin on, and there could be no limit as to how many different sports you enter into as an individual. I actually enjoy rounders too!! Would someone be able to post a link up to this thread on TOC just so we can gauge interest from them? Hows about this for a day then? I'm sure we could find a suitable venue, i.e. a sports centre that has the facilities for all the sports we wish to play. Could charge for entry to it, and also could charge per team member (only a small fee as they will be the 'attraction'). Admin Chaps & Chappeses, where does the club stand on this? Stu
  10. As i am personally not a fan of footie, thats why i didn't suggest that, but what about a little 'sports contest day' instead, where we field a team of say, 25, and did footie, rugby, and any other sports that are team based and appropriate for the time of year? Stu
  11. I always thought that of you Mr Fargo!!! :P Seriously tho, is it something we could/want to do? Stu

  18. Curry is a good idea, the hotter the better! A ride down a bumpy road in a car that you can really feel the bumps in is also good (just don't use the Lex, it won't work!)! A good brisk walk or three is also supposed to be good............... But i'm sure you know what else is supposed to be good for bringing on labour.............. Stu :P
  19. It absolutley sickens me to be brutally honest. I watched Schindlers List a couple of times a few years back, but i can't watch it again as long as i live. I'm a very placid person, but after watching the film, and indeed the documentaries on Auschwitz and the Holocaust, I have been absolutley totally and utterly filled with hatred and anger. The atrocities that were committed by a group of alleged human beings to an innocent group of people that were just trying to get on with their lives in peace were disgusting. Just cannot digest the horrors that went on during the Holocaust, really can't. Stu
  20. I'll settle for tomorrow! :winky: Stu
