  1. If you need some advice from a proper chippie about the materials and build styles, let me know! Stu
  2. It will vary according to the kit you want. Have a look at some of the companies listed in GOLD, you might find one there that does kits! :winky: Stu
  3. That all depends on how much you are willing to pay for them!!!! Personally, i think they only suit certain car colours, but thats my personal view! Still not sure if they look right on mine! Stu
  4. bit of a delayed response, but yes! Stu
  5. Just to make YOU feel even better, in 1984 i was 3!!!!!!! :P Stu
  6. still not sure about the knowckout event paul, think the opportunity for rasing funds is greater with the sports events. What do you all think about it? Stu
  7. thanks for the advice guys, i'll pick this up later on and let you know then! Got to go on a long drive for a business meeting this morning, the only plus to it, is that i'm going in the lex, and i'm going on my own!! :D Stu
  8. Top news! Lets have some names for dates, then we'll go with the majority! Stu
  9. i do have access to a deposit, the amount of the deposit is at the moment an undisclosed amount, but when my parents divorced and sold the house, me and my sister got some cash put away for us to use for our deposits on our first houses. When it went in in 1992 it was for something like £4000, and i have no idea how much it'll be now, my mum is checking that out for us. i don't want to borrow more than i have to, and i certainly don't want to end up in negative equity before i start! Stu
  10. Hey guys, basically me and mrs chippiestu are looking to buy a house together, and it'll be our first house, so getting on the ladder could be quite difficult, as we are both in our early 20's. In a nut shell, i need to know roughly what sort of figure we could borrow to put into a house. I am a complete idiot when it comes to mortgages, so i would appreciate some non-technical and incomplicated advice if possible!! If someone can help, i would prefer to discuss the figures aspect via PM or email, as i don't fancy mine and mrs chippuestu's salaries being broadcast on the internet! Stu
  11. Firstly, Welcome to the club! (interesting nickname by the way!) :D As far as it goes for buying advice for an IS200, there are a number of people on here better qualified than myself to tell you what to look for, but my personal advice would be to buy from a main dealer, as they know their stuff. I'm sure someone will be along in a second to tell you specifically what to look out for! Stu
  12. Approached them about a month ago bud! (I'm ahead of the game!) :winky: Stu
  13. I know it's a bit of a way out for some of you guys, but do try to make it if you can! I'm sure that some of us that live a bit closer could put some of you up for the night if you wish! Stu
  14. Mr Scarface has kindly agreed to check out the venue for us, think that the police one is absolutely perfect for what we want, and he thinks it'll be free of charge, which is always a bonus! Probably looking to do it as a 5-a-side tournament (with rounders or something extra going on for a bit of extra fun), and i think perhaps you guys could assemble your teams amongst yourselves, and give yourselves a name (a clean one please, it will be posted in the public forums!). I will let you know what the closing date for team entries will be when we have a date for the venue. Looking to do it on a saturday/sunday in June sometime, preferabbly early June so people still have plenty of weekends left to prepare themselves and their rides for JAE! It's likley that we will be offering tickets into the day at a reduced rate for those that wish to pay in advance, and for those that wish to pay on the day, it will obviously be higher. Quite likely to be priced per car, and not per person. Will also be looking to you guys as members to donate food etc for the BBQ and maybe some drinks :winky: if you feel so inclined. Also, would one of our club traders be interested in maybe sponsoring a show and shine contest? With the judging to be carried out by them, and possibly a club representitave. If you feel you can suggest anything from this, or have any issues, please either post up here, or PM me. Stu
  15. No joy with Chips Away yet, keep checking GOLD for updates! Do you have any suggestions for companies for the re-spraying etc Mr Fidgets? Stu
  16. Don't the forward facing cameras have a infrared beam to determine speed? I hear of a nice new idea for those infrared laser beam camers (Mobile and fixed), you can apparently buy a kit that at the touch of a button will cover the front of your car with the same kind of infrared that the camers use, thereby absorbing the signal from the camera. Not sure where you can buy this, but as far as i have been told, it is 100% legal, as there is no law saying you can't do it. Stu
  17. I hope he wins! :D I hate GATSO cameras, nothing but revenue generators. You'll have to post up how he gets on! Stu
  18. if you want a set to practice on pete, i still have my 16" lexus wheels sitting in the garage collecting dust. Stu
  19. Well done guys :D !! Hope all is well with you and the little ones!! :winky: Stu
  20. I think it's hideous personally! And besides, wasn't it a photoshop by someone on here? The piccies of the new IS haven't been released yet have they? Stu
