I'd avoid that set from USA as they are just smoked - Guy has just tinted a cheap crystal set with a spray can I'd imagine. If you need genuine black ones you can get them new from a guy on here called ACLEX for about £250 a light or look on ebay for a crashed car they are dismantling. Roughly £75 a light this way
It's the set I've linked on my other thread, I will keep posting sets for everyone... Consider the fact that you will need to refurb them at £50 a tyre and you're looking at £200 extra on top of what they are asking for already... quite expensive for some 2nd hand alloys..
Thank you, I am going to take the bumper off tomorrow and have a look... think option one would be the wisest... i'd imagine the pins are all ok as they are great condition...
I've finally got a set of black is200 fog lights from ebay, however the connector is the new type (I believe it's a h4 bulb).
What is involved with adding the wiring changed to the new fitting? I understand they are different plugs compared to my ones... there are two wires going into the plug a red and black one... If it's a simple wiring job I can do it with the battery off etc..
I tried to search a thread for it but failed to see one... thanks if you can help me
some more you guys

in my opinion they are just too damaged and will cost a lot in a refurb for me to buy em. what do you guys think?
I just had a blast from Worcester to Portsmouth - £81 to fill tank from empty/red - averaging speeds of around 80 to 100 mph. I was getting 28mpg on motorway. 156 miles fone and three quarters of fuel bar. Quite impressive considering my old punto did 33mpg on motorway doing 70.
The motorway is where this car really shines. I can get around 400 miles on a tank of fuel
Sometimes though you have to ask yourself if it is the right thing. As at that price it's probably likely that those alloys have been stolen off somebodies pride and joy. Not taking away the fact you got yourself a bargain!
I saw those on ebay how much did you get them for in the end? Last time I looked was just £80 - I was going to bid but it was local pickup only and live too far away.
What would you sell them for once refurbed with new rubber?
Thanks for tip Aaron, will make sure I wash wonder wheels off next time. The Astra I am going to work on has thick black tar stuck on that even wonder wheels couldn't clear off. Any recommendations? I hear that WD40 will remove that...
I dried as the turtlewax wash & wax left too many smears on the paintwork... it would have covered the clay, will def try a shampoo!
Am going to be claying an astra when the sun goes down... will post results there too, amazing stuff
Bit wary of using sites light gumtree as seller could wonder off with money and never send... have been looking on ebay and on here for some front fogs. Genuine ones not sprayed.
