  1. Scott i have a rather obvious question, but i take it both cars are running Beams 4 cylinder engines ?. What about suspension, off the shelf Altezza or custom made ??.
  2. Had a look on the Brands Hatch site, just to get a price for a BTCC race , on the day gate price £25.00, advance on line price £19.00 :)
  3. Anytime Bob....you should of said you wanted a drive. ← I love my IS200 , I have just as much time for the LS and GS models :) . We must remember the Lexus story started wirth the LS.....respect :winky:
  4. Sound like things are on the up for you :) , that a hell of allot of motor for the money you paid, maybe you can give me demo next time your at the Grasshopper :winky:
  5. Well yesterdays news, is todays history! been watching with interest about Rover on the news, and i've been thinking in another direction...the RoverCity is a rebadged Tata car from India , i wonder how things look for them now, i'm sure they thought Rover was going to buy big number of their car , but Top gear and the motoring press put a stop to that...and rightly so ,shocking car, about as out of date as the rest of the Rover range . Next thought, whats going to become of MG/ Rover dealers , What if you bought a Rover 75 last week for £15k, whats it worth this week or next week !!, I can see all used Rover prices taking a major tumble over the coming months, and what about spares, Pattern parts are ok for the long team , but parts for nearly new car and ever warrenty work could be a major problem. This could be a very good time to buy a used Rover, most popular cars over 3-4 years ,can be maintained my your local Halford or fast fit centre, but if Rover parts supplier dry up, that means , no electrical items..ECU's, engine electrics ,wiper and window motors, body panels and trim will also dry up. It is a sad day for Rover, but if you don't invest and sell a product that people what, your going to sink ... and fast ;) .
  6. Had a look on Ebay, tapped in " electric aerial", lots of choice used and new, its another option for you :)
  7. List of possible problems...2 already covered. 1) Sunroof drainage pipe, 2) water coming from window seal. 3) Heater matrix, 4) Rubber seal around door , 5) Vents blocked with leaves, under windscreen area. 6) Rubber grommet on bulkhead come loose.
  8. Like to through a few facts into this thread :winky: ....data taken from the sales brochures, IS200/300 saloon , boot capacity 400 litres, IS300 Sportscross..seats up 343 litres...seats down 1046 litres :)
  9. The S is still a very good car, if your after the quality and reliability of a is200 then S,SE, or Sport, they are all as good as each other, it just a choice of trim, wheels and driver pleasure (Auto/manual ). Buying an S ,then add the SE/Sport wheels make good economic sense if your on a tight budget :)
  10. Well if Ian's new motor is running like a dream, he wont need the LOC for weeks, just plenty of fuel stations :winky:
  11. Pollen/cabin filter.... http://www.puravent.co.uk/ ....discount if your a Gold member :) . Much much better than the standard Lexus item :winky:
  12. Had a problem like this on a 3.0 supra, turned out to be worn out spark plugs, maybe an idea to take a couple out and see if they are burnt .
  13. I'm sure they are both very good filters, i would buy either, which ever was the cheaper one B)
  14. Maybe ,my IS200 is to good for me, i've never used the heated seat either or the headlamp washer ( well i say i've never used them ,tried them once ,just after i polished the car ) :D
