My car has anti high jack control which activate and lock all doors after driving for 30 secs or so. Gives a nice secure feeling.

I'm also about to renew my anti-freeze, am I right it should be about 50/60 % of the coolant ?

I think one of the air con filters is located at the back of the glove compartment box. If you open the box there is a plastic panel at the very back which clicks out, the filter is located behind it. Just slides out.

The last time I went to the Ace was in1961,assuming it's in the same place, on a 350cc Enfield Bullet, my 3 ltr. TT, goes faster in lowest gear than the Bullet did flat out in top. same buzz though. Have a good meet.

Unfortunately I have a flip top phone which makes it impossible to place in a cradle, my hands free consists of a cord and ear piece and a small switch to activate, as I understand it this is illegal, however, a thirty pound fine must be better than travelling hundreds of miles in the wrong direction or stopping at ever M/way service area every time the phone goes. I tried to obtain a phone suitable for the car but must then have a car phone number. The flip top is the only phone I can find which suits my use.

I would be happy to donate to whatever Charity is decided, we are after all so lucky to be in the situations we are in, our biggest problems seem to be what and how to improve our cars !.....sad if you think about it. Sorry about being so profound.

I probably qualify as the oldest member of the LOC therefore still use £sd & feet & inch's(however) try to enjoy modern tech, please help me, would this new machine transform my life more than my flying machine has ? and if it would how quickly can I get one. An earlier thread (whatever that is) mention how fast have you driven ! I was stopped at 128 mph, at dusk, just testing it after a service , it was suggested by a polite policeman that I had a death wish. I pointed out I had seen a car in the mirror but as one of its head lights wasn't working, it wasn't a problem... another polite policeman, looked at the light ...kicked it and it came on....being as honest as they always are...gave me a warning and told me to grow up ! I still haven't !.

(WITHOUT PREDJUDICE) My personal opinion is the plastic weirdo should be ignited by his wick, unfortunately 20/30 million dollars buys an awful lot.

AFTER 45K MILES MY DASH LIT UP AND SIRENS RANG SHOWING WARNINGS ON TRACTION BRAKES ETC. I TOOK IT TO LEXUS DEALER WHO WOULD LOOK AT IT (LEXUS CHESTER WOULDN'T) AND WAS ADVISED IT WAS THE VSC UNIT WHICH WAS FAULTY. I WAS ADVISED IT WAS PROBABLY A CHIP BUT IT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. A NEW VSU WAS ABOUT £1700. FORTUNATELEY I FOUND A REPLACEMENT A LOT LESS. IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM?(1) DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THE OLD ! UNIT CAN BE SORTED.(2)
