  2. Hi Everybody....... Does anyone know where I can buy the set of workshop manuals for my 94 LS?
  3. Hi! On my 94 LS it is not LH thread and it was very tight. You need a long bar and big muscles to undo it. Make sure the engine cannot turn while you try,get someone to help with this. There is a good detailed explanation of timing belt replacement on the USA website. cheers
  4. Hi! No problem doing pads front or rear if you have done other pads before.Idid my 94 LS front and rear,no problem. I found them a bit like Honda. Make sure there are no breaks in the wires for the pad wear warning and be careful removing them. Dress them carefully when finished so they do not rub on the wheel.
  5. Hi! Try this site for stereo info.........http://carstereohelp.com/stereoremovalLexusLS400str1.htm :winky:
  6. need your e-mail address to send picture. Not so much difficult as extremely slow, the amount of dismantling you have to do to get to it is the worst part. I did not need a puller for the crank pulley it was loose enough to pull by hand.A conventional puller will do it if stuck, you don't need a special one. Do not forget to loosen the crank pulley nut before you start. Get someone to help you and mark bolts etc. as you remove them, theres a lot. I just replaced the timing belt and the serpentine belt,[61000 miles]cannot remember exactly how much as I got new front rotors at the same time, allow about £200 . I've only done about 4 timing belts on other cars and I was daunted by the size of it all. However if you take your time and check as you go along,[make notes and digital photos if you have to] you,ll be OK ,allow a full day to do it. It will not be scarey for me next time!!
  7. I have a picture of the exposed timing belt from when I did mine,[1994 model] will e-mail to you if want! :)
