  1. Looks like German plates so may want to try the Euro LOC
  2. I always look at how many miles I get to a tank - 225 is the best what do the other GS owners get??
  3. What sort of driving is this - heavy traffic or long runs. My best is around the 20 mark but seem to average about 18-19 My journey is typically 10 miles of doing about 30-40MPH and then 3 miles of stationary traffic for half an hour
  4. I know it's no use as a comparison as I have a GS but it costs me over £50 to fill up and I get 220 miles to a tank - gutted I have stuck with optimax for the last 5 tanks and I havent noticed a difference. My journey is the same every day - 10 miles of taking it easy doing up to 40mph then half an hour to do the other 2 miles in traffic. Last car was a Golf TDi 150BHP and I used to get 44mpg however hard I drove it :duh:
  5. HMV ps. what ever happened to Our Price?
  6. i`ll secong that.....very quick cars I hate to demonstrate any knowledge about said vehicles but being a general car anorak, I would suggest that they didnt do the MG in Poo brown!
  7. Glad it all turned out OK..................bet he's strong as an ox ! He is now thankfully. Plays mini Rugby every Sunday and is not afraid of proper tackling either. Although he's not supposed to as it's just tag rugby at his age
  8. Mine has to be my son who at the age of 5 weeks technically died but my wife revived him. He then lived in Guys hospital til he was 5 months old, all the time under ventilation and drips. Makes you feel so utterly helpless. By the time he was 2 he was fully discharged as an outpatient and he is a real bruiser. Last Monday he was 5 years old but you never forget -
  9. So is your wife against you getting older or becoming a parent?? Mine would be my 2 boys - I am very proud of them :) second would be getting a degree in Building Surveying (2:1) whilst; a, being in full time work b, buying and doing up a house c, having a young baby keeping me up all hours in the final year d, having left school with no proper qualifications. that was hard work!!!
  10. I went on a blat across the Brecon beacons last year with my old (new shape) Mini Cooper S and my MD's Porsche 911 Carrera 4. We took photos of us doing pre flight checks and stops in the hills and petrol stations fill up's and did a proper journo write up for a laugh. Sent it to Evo hoping they would employ us on the spot, pay us £100k a year and we could leave IT behind. They didnt even respond
  11. Current job - Operations Director in small IT company. Would love to be a journalist for Evo magazine - getting to drive top cars very fast on Europes best roads
  12. They had quite a good write up about it in the Sunday times a couple of weeks ago. If I get back at a decent time on Saturday and am able to operate my PC, I will let you know
  13. Chill baby, I was only joking - Mrs M wouldnt be too happy either. Fat chance of us bumping in to each other as i'm going on the Saturday!!! ;)
  14. Wow, whats she doing Saturday then? I'm going to the 6.30 show so theres plenty of time to wash my car beforehand and I can then take her to see the delights of some of London's finest bars and restaurants after. Could have her back, ready to wax yours in the morning B)
