  1. yeah my bank are offering loans of up to 25K at 3.9% so might do that. I see that Chester Lexus have dropped their resident IS-F by £1500.
  2. To be honest the only reason mine went was it was written off, otherwise I'd still have it. I'm struggling to find anything that fits the bill now, as I want the get out of the 135i Coupe. I've been looking at all sorts but nothing is floating my boat 100%. At the moment exploring a potential deal on a 2014 F80 M3, because I have enjoyed the turbo six in the 1, this feels like a natural progression, but still wonder about getting a late IS-F, because it was such a great car. A lift in my dads 2007 IS250 SE-L on Monday didn't help matters, they are so nice inside. Over 8 years old and there's not a rattle from anywhere!!! So the M3 deal just hit the dust, even with a sizable deposit on a PCP the lowest APR they can offer to finance a £45K car is 9.2%APR, my current 135i is on HP on an APR half that! BMW dealers ***** me right off! Right where's the newest used IS-F..... lol
  3. it is a shame to see a practical and reliable super saloon sitting doing nothing. Mine was a daily and I was doing 20K a year in it.
  4. The ultra blue LSD car at Edgeware road looks the best value of them all at the moment, IMHO.
  5. cracking deal MNMJ to get that much over guide price is great, having said that you were spending a lot. No wonder they are starting at £26K
  6. 20K??....I would think 17-18k would be the figure at px
  7. You'd think they would check the other lexus dealers stock, because it must be 2-3K over priced. I'm guessing you didn't get a equally inflated amount in PX.
  8. The one in Manchester is a silly price...might be a 10 plate but its a 2009 car.
  9. brilliant, i'd never get in a mini if I had this, if I was struggling for petrol money, I'd cut out a meal....
  10. Nice choice, love the ultra Blue. Had mine from Cardiff back in 2012. Enjoy.
  11. Which one have you purchased, the black 2011 car from brum?
  12. As I said i don't want to spend that kind of money. ie 50K. plus I would like a little more practicality and despite its exterior size the RCF looks no better in the back that the 1, whilst it works at the moment my little'un is growing at a rapid rate, thats one other reason I backed off the M4.
  13. Including some of the better company cars, Nova 1.2i Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport 2.0 Honda Civic Jordan Astra 1.8 SRI Formula 27 (2.0 fiat/Lancia twincam) Ibiza Cupra Sport 2.0 16v Alfa 156 2.5V6 sportpack 2 Golf GTI mk5 BMW 118d Msport 3door BMW E92 330i Msport Coupe Lexus IS-F Mini Cooper S (R53) BMW 135i Msport coupe RS Clio 172 Cup
  14. I had pagid pads and discs on mine they weren't very good. I'd stick to OEM.
  15. After my IS-F was written off and after a few months in a Mini Cooper S as a stop gap, which was both a huge disappointment and an expensive experience by the way. I opted for a more sensible option(that's how I sold it to myself at the time) a 2010 BMW 135i Coupe. It wasn't a great start and I really struggled to enjoy it. Whilst it was quick and well equipped (for a 1 series) I never really felt anything for it. 2 years on now and whilst I've been looking for a replacement I've actually realised what a great package it is. its 305bhp turbo 3.0L six is both characterful and responsive, its a very balanced car and I always enjoy driving it. Ride quality is a tad compromised with skinny 18s and run flats but its liveable. tyres and servicing are moderate, not cheap but given the performamce available very good, my mate spends thousands more than I do keeping his Cayman S on the road and does half the miles I do. It also still works as a family car, we only have a 7 year old at home now, and the seat fold down, unlike the lexus so actually it can be more practical. The biggest things I miss from the IS-F in truth is 1, the V8 howl 2,absolutely fantastic auto box 3, proper car people know what it is and want to chat to you about it, when you're out and about. So where do I go from here....no idea, I've been looking at the M4, but decided I didn't want to spend that much, my mates offered me a brand new (but old spec so only 355bhp!!) GLA45 AMG with a stupid discount which really caught my eye....but to be honest not much will offer what this little 135i does for so little cash. Its only worth 11-12K at trade in which seems a little crap given how good a car its really turned out to be. I still look at IS-Fs and get tempted......
  16. What??? 80K is nothing given the reliability all you guys speak of! Condition I don't know because I haven't seen it but most Lexus Dealers won't sell one that's in poor condition I wouldn't think. If you do low miles and you want into an ISF on a smaller budget then this cannot be beaten I wouldn't think. Mine had 80K on it and was running as well as ever when it went, so I wouldn't worry about it at, particularly if this has a Lexus dealer warrenty, seems abit of a bargain. Think I'd happily take the 4k saving over some of the £20K 50+K mile cars.
  17. Lexus Bristol have a good value ISF under 16K for an 80K 2008. Realistic pricing.
  18. The scored bore issue made me back out of a gen 1 997 purchase too. I did no research and fell in love with it and left a deposit, my mate who is a massive Porsche fan, told me all about it, I rang a couple of Porsche dealers and they confirmed there had been issues so I walked away. Only way to buy safety is with a Porsche warranty in reality or spend more for a gen 2. Evora is a good shout. always liked them. And back to the OP, Julian that looks so good. Good example of how a simple change of stance and the right wheels making all the difference. Its perfect.
  19. Oh I see, that makes sense. I've been looking at Mustangs and Camaros brought in from the USA, the same applies with those unless they were originally intended for supply into the EEC.
  20. Think you've got the road tax wrong all IS-Fs sit in the same bracket regardless. Yeah sounds about right price wise, given it came from a Lexus dealer. you may have got one cheaper from a private sale, but without that level of comfort.
  21. the fun journeys are 3 hours 99% not motorway!
  22. Tracked my 2008 ISF, and it worked really well. I wouldn't bother unless you've got a cage in it. :)
