I would assume that you can't have a number plate confirmed until it is on the DVLA system, and with modern technology that should be instant!

Hi Chance, my app showed what you are now seeing for 15 days before it changed to 'Build in progress ', so not too long now for you to wait for start of build.

Things are moving quicker, had update yesterday on the app saying 'left the factory ' - at last! I think it is on the Marvelous Ace which departed yesterday morning. NX350h Takumi Ordered 12/02/22 In Build 03/05/23 Left Factory 24/05/23 Due to Dock at Portbury 24/06/23 Then it will disappear into the Derby black hole for a few weeks. Overall, now happy it's coming.

This is from a screenshot that my dealership emailed to me on 3rd May which confirms that my NX is 'in build' and that it is a MY24. Car ordered 12th Feb 22.

Thanks for confirming Steve. Are bolts supposed to be better than studs with nuts?

I may be wrong, but I am sure that I have read somewhere that the new NX does not have 'Nuts' to hold the wheels on, but it has 'bolts' instead that screw into the hub. Anyone confirm this?

The easy thing to spot is that MY24 now have the same colour on the glove box as the rest of the interior ( unless your interior is black?) Hopefully MY24 cars will come with 2 keyfobs as they are now different due to the UWB technology. Your report will be most welcome.

Has anyone taken delivery of a MY24 yet? or has seen one at a dealer? It has been 10 weeks now since the start of MY24 in Japan, so they should be starting to arrive I think.

I have had the ML system in my IS300h for the last ten years, the sound quality is incredible at any volume. It has 15 speakers and 835 Watts of audio power. I am listening to music again like it's for the first time, hearing notes, sounds, frequencies etc that I never knew existed when I originally heard the tracks/albums many moons ago. Looking forward to my NX350h Takumi with it's ML system, 17 speakers and 1,800 Watts, total bliss.

Finally app showing in 'build in progress' this morning, been 15 months since order.

Just re-checked my app, 'order in progress', no change after 5 days since dealership email stating 'in build'., hope there isn't a problem like no key fobs, no locking wheel bolts, no Mark Levinson system, etc.

Does your lexus link app show that the car is being built? My dealer emailed me 3rd May saying that my car was 'in build' but my app today is still showing 'Order in progress'.

I wonder if all NX manufactured from March 23, I.e. 2024 model year, will come with two keyfobs as they now use UWB technology, so might be a different keyfob design with readily available ICs inside.

Just had an email from my dealership stating that my NX350h Takumi (ordered 12th February 2022) has today gone into build. Yippee. They also sent a screenshot of their computer system showing "In Build", so no BS. The LexusLink app has not updated as yet. The long long wait is almost over, at least things are starting to move quicker now for everyone.

Just had 'my lexus' app update this afternoon along with an email saying "follow our progress", so it looks like the build of my nx350h takumi could be imminent. Does anyone know how long it takes to start build once the app updates like in the image attached?

I have been writing software for over 40 years including software for interfacing to Renault, Toyota, Kia and Hyundai vehicles, it's not that hard to extract the correct raw data and transform it into usable information either way. The app function unusability and errors are a disgrace really.

Does anyone know if the lexuslink app works OK with other models? Is it an app issue? or a NX DCM issue?

Finally got some good news at last, had a call this evening from my Lexus dealership saying that Lexus have told him my NX350h Takumi has now been 'matched' for production in May with delivery in July / early August. Was told only last month approx eta was October, so this is the first time the eta has come forward. Ordered car 12th Feb 2022, so would be 17 / 18 months from order to delivery. So it does seem like things are ramping up now and the factory is getting through the backlog. Hold your nerve everyone, hopefully won't be long now for us all. Now all I have to do is sell my IS300h ! Michael.

Hi Gary, I have also ordered a NX350h Takumi like yourself, mine ordered on 12th Feb 22, so 14 months now. Below is the response from Lexus customer relations I had on the 6th March 23:- "Dear Michael Thank you for your email and please accept my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. With the changes that are currently being implemented it has unfortunately taken some time to get confirmation of the information you were requesting. I can now advise that your vehicle order will definitely be a MY24 when it does get matched, meaning it will benefit from the new specification. However, we have still not been able to get a matched or confirmed build date for your order and have been advised that based on your order position in the queue for the NX Takumi model, realistically we are now looking at an estimated delivery date of around October 2023. (could be subject to change)." I also asked another query to which they replied on the 29th March 23:- "Thank you for your further email regarding your NX350h Takumi order. The MY24 will mainly be as per the order you have placed but will benefit from some minor enhancements, including NanoeX air conditioning. However, in answer to the questions you specifically raised, I have received the following confirmation from our Product Department: 1) Will Remote Parking via the app will be available? This is to be determined and confirmed closer to the launch date, so for now no. 2) Will the Drive Recorder function (integrated dash cam using the front and rear cameras) be available? No– but an accessory dash cam is available. 3) Are the 20" wheels now fitted with standard tyres instead of run flat tyres? No" I hope that the above might throw some light on the Takumi delays / specification etc.
