any change in air suspension? other enhancements?

Looking at an RX 450h 2014 and garage says it has a chain not belt - is that true`?

acquiring a 2015 450h and it has no roof rails. are the rails same as on the 400h? Is fitting a garage job or can anyone do it?

My 155000+ mile 2005 Rx400h does around 31/32 but long trips with M/way 50 speed limits sees it get to 35 - eyeing a 450h 2014 Premier for low price and will take note of previous posts.😊

CORRECT The RHS disc had the inner shoe stuck/welded to the disc itself. Seems as though for many years only the left rear inner shoes were holding when the parking brake was applied. Rarely used as I put the gears in Park. Ho Hum

My local mech can't get the discs off the rear on my RX400h 2005/6 Any clues? The car has done 151000 miles , Lexus serviced but this RX is going and it has decided it wants to stay on!! Disc comes half off then sticks

The point is I left the key in all night, in the garage, in the READY position and with aircon on and the car started and ran the next day. That night i put the car in the garage- - turned everything off - key in pocket- no alarm set and the next morning the 12v battery was absolutely flat.

welland, Engine started - I made three trips, total of about 60 miles. The day later when I found a dead car which needed a battery charger, on initially charging I did not disconnect the battery and the radio volume now worked, so I disconnected the neg earth and charged the battery - about 11 hours on a Halfrauds charger. This Wednesday morning all appears normal - except I had to retune the AM/FM radio. Engine started on READY and turned off shortly afterwards. Any link to an uprated RX400h 12v battery site would be appreciated.

OK so this morning having left car in garage - all switches off - key removed - no alarm set I find a dead 12 v battery - so no lights - icons slow for about 5 seconds then fade away. Yesterday the car performed normally - no indication of battery problems. Now I have connected the charger and all the panels work - INCLUDING my audio volume........ Maybe I need a new battery - someone on here gave a battery that fits with correct polarity but has higher rating, so any clues gratefully received Thanks

My excuse is it was in the garage, our two Golden Retrievers were trying to get in the driving seat and I had bags of shopping..... This morning I got in the car - it was warm - everything worked - no dead battery but the radio volume output was dead. Is there a fuse for volume control?

Well Lexus did not replace the brake pads because Steve in the workshop said there was still about 6,000 miles left on the pads! It was the the tyre company that said the pads were extremely thin which was a ploy to get new pads fitted at the tyre place...... The 400h going to have a service at the end of the month and I will let the next owner replace the pads.

In North California in 1977 I rented an Oldsmobie Toronado 1966 FWD 7 litre! from Marin Rent a Wreck and it had swivel bucket seats which made it the easiest car I have ever entered or exited! A 450h with swivel front seats should be an option...... I agree about lack of self parking [DanD] while my Son grins every time he parks his Ford....... Lexus Guildford serviced my ageing RX400h - 142,560 miles and going strong. An NX300h courtesy car was provided [foc] and made me glad I had my 400h available the next morning. Nice enough machine but my eye is on a late 2013 450h Premier at a reasonable price......

Is it just me but on trying to register with BCA it keeps rejecting my password. I have now changed my password 4 times and each time it says incorrect password. tried calling BCA but line is dead or jammed....... Nearly threw my ageing iPad at the wall. Even tried same on my 'puter but same results......

When in the RAF we used to test high output aircraft radios inside a Faraday Cage - so no transmissions would be picked up. One idiot transmitted "MayDay MayDay" without checking the cage and a large enough hole had previously been made which caused a ship in the Atlantic ocean to pick up the emergency call. A Shackleton aircraft was launched and spent hours looking for the non existing MayDay aircraft. Why don't Lexus make radio proof key bags so no crooks can detect the dormant keys in the owners home. Nullifying any piggyback key info to third party car thieves? I keep my debit/credit swipe cards in little mylar wallets to stop any cloning whilst in public places. Should stop the majority of thefts...... Lexus needs to step up and offer a solution to RX450h keyless go car snatchings. Better still make the Apple thumbprint security on the drivers door available......

Yes I think you are right and compared to my old RX 400h Premiere with adaptive beam the lights are so much brighter that I missed the fact that the new F Sport dipped lights didn't turn into corners. I am saving my pennies and going for a 2013 450 Premiere and wait until the 2016 models are lower in price.

Yes I agree about the Auto high beam function, it is uncanny how it sees oncoming headlights and dips accordingly. Made a long night drive against oncoming traffic almost a pleasure!. Helped by the power of the dipped beam - new RX 450H with all the bells and whistles. Not mine but Lexus Guildford let me play with one for 24 hours.

I put the new DVD in. It tried to work but failed. So I disconnected the battery [lost all my previous destinations! and my iphone connection] Rebooted. The satnav now works but the resolution seems degraded a little. Otherwise OK Anyway I am about to obtain a 2013 450h Premiere so the next owner can play with the new dvd....

my 2006 400h has a Version 3 DVD
