  1. I totally agree Loz ..Trouble is like all things that are good the goverment and police think differently to us... Apparently number plates with logo other than country flags are not allowed :( I made up a nice one on fancyplates.com with lexus logo and team lexus along the bottom, I have just bought 2 chrome numberplate holders that they would go nice in.. but whats the point if the old bill keep pulling you to say that they are not legal.. o.k i see the point on non standard spacing but wheres the harm in having a logo alongside........ jac
  2. How did you get on fitting the spoiler... Finally got mine back today fuly resprayed.. will fit it at the weekend.. although the guy who sprayed it for me did say he would fit it for £60. ;) Just paid £80 for the respray so think i will still stick to doing it myself... jac
  3. Like the idea of one to go across the boot Silver/chrome looking.. Team lexus :) Come on everybody what do you think ? Good idea Bad idea? jac
  4. Just got in after washing the car and taking it for a quick blowdry down a nice straight that i know..... On the way back traffic was slow.... Looked in rear mirror and saw a ls400 behind me (getting closer and closer) At one stage i can only assume he was trying to get in my boot or hitch a lift on my bumper.. After much thought i realised he was trying to read my TEAN LEXUS STICKER. Conclusion need bigger sticker so it can be read 20yrds away :) perhaps that way It might stop people from trying to climb aboard, jac
  5. Because i never had another 2ohm speaker...i was just checking the wire connections ... every thing seems ok just no sound , jac
  6. I got mine off today... ermm not exactly the right way... screws along the bottom 1 in the rubber seal, 1 big one under the plastic cap under the handle area) above the pocket, Heres the naughty bit after i popped all the door edges and lifted the door panel upwards so the window rubber unhooks I could see the last screw (the one I could not see how it undoes on previous attemps) I still could not work out how to get to the head !!!! there are no covers over it and its right in the middle of the door behind the hand well in line with the control panel for the windows. After much frustration I lost the plot and got a saw the door panel is secured via a plastic L shape type of bracket, SO I CUT THE B****Y THING OFF. . And geuss what... yep the panel just came off no problem... Note : Its quite hard to get back on you need to get the window rubber back in place first and go from there, After all this i still never got the speaker jac
  7. opps sorry claire should have said keep it up guys and girls :D jac

  9. I also have the same problem i have undone all the screws (yes the one behind the caps to) got the whole lot loose but the is still a screw or fixing directly behind the electic window buttons in the door handle that i can not seem to work out how you undo it.. i gave up after 2 seperate occasions of trying to do it there is an early thread on here somewhere when i was asking.. jac if you do work it out ....please let me know how its done

  21. O.k here we go.... on the mk1 gs300 the std wheels and tyres are 225/55/16 i want to take mine up to 17 or 18" when searching for a new set (tyre package deal) what should i be looking for..i get confused with the middle part ie how can you get ***/40/17 and ***/40/18 surely having 40 on a 17 and 40 on an 18" And still be in keeping with the overall dia ... If i was going for a 17" what size tyre/ wheel package should i be looking for... likewise on the 18"????? the last thing i want to do is get it wrong and throw out the speedo.. cheers jac
  22. Thanks stej.. lol .. I would love to be able to help but firstly the spoiler i am just about to fix is a WRX spoiler, AND SECONDLY It will be my first time at fitting a spoiler myself. My only word of advise is measure twice drill once.. Good luck let us know how it goes... and as for £120 now you can see why i am doing mine myself. Its bad enough that at some stage i need to get somebody to spray it dark green, but for the moment its going to be fitted in its black colour cheers jac
