  1. Well if the conspiracy theories are correct you will be in 15 minute bubbles in 2030 so maybe councils are just biding their time and not bothering with roads at all.. Whatever way you look at it they're a disgrace for a supposedly wealthy country
  2. I agree, it's an odd one - the UK had a friendly agreement with Ireland even though they had different currency - people were free to travel between the region's and so forth but when it comes to grants I don't think that England never really got much from being part of Europe, I can't answer that question.. but I do know some art galleries in England have had some funds from this EU membership just like the roads built in Ireland It probably boils down to inept government at the end of the day but having a different currency probably didn't do any good
  3. They use schemes for building roads for sure, the clue is the signs that are erected near said structure - funding from EEC scheme bla bla. I don't think these schemes cover repairs of the roads itself and that is down to individual councils but the whole point is that the roads are f,d in England - because they aren't in the European economic region anymore forget grants, and unfortunately fixing roads isn't cheap - prepare for lots of bodged jobs I think
  4. Well no, it's not a conspiracy it's factual. Ireland has had funding from EEC schemes to make many of the motorways in the country, unlike England they weren't made in the 60s and 70s.. many were only done in the 90s and after. They probably use more schemes for the upkeep of roads who knows
  5. The roads in England are shocking, period. I've travelled over much of the SE of England and they are a disgrace, you would need a tank to navigate Southampton and the coastal cities in the south. They are awash with money from cruise ships and can't be axed to do anything, neither can any council in any other district. I told my brother in Ireland about the state of the roads as he is planning a visit and he was surprised, the main cities in Ireland aren't in this state of disrepair, so what is going on.. where is my £630 VED going?! I've been to Cambodia and they have had better roads, Thailand far better.
  6. I said it last year, you lot will never be convinced that anything but what you are told is correct, it's from the government so it's correct. Oil companies have enough money to fill out earth a few times over - nothing is normal but you lot will never seen anything different. All you can say is conspiracy followed by theory. There's nothing conspiracy about the amount of lithium batteries used in electric cars and there's nothing conspiracy about the telegraph article I mentioned about the true cost of net zero and there is nothing conspiracy about all the cameras, 20 mph zones,, ulez and LTN areas getting developed. It's happening. No conspiracy here. But just drop it as Malc said and be a good boy and do as you are told, if you were told to stay indoors locked up you will see that as normal too and the government are rolling out SMS alerts soon, April 23rd. They are citing the usual dross, emergency events but I smell more bs
  7. Everything is a conspiracy isn't it .. Maybe trust the science are developing green batteries that grow on trees, then councils might not chop them down at night fall.
  8. You don't seem to grasp how bad they are for the planet, lithium batteries and you don't seem to grasp that a single electric car has around half a tonne of them under the seats, larger EVs even more. How on earth do you really think that they are doing great things for the environment. Going back to oil and blaming that is just rubbish, see my link previously, automotive industry isn't responsible for not nearly as much damage to greenhouse gases as trust the science are making out Have a read of this too. Problem with you folks is that anyone who dares query this stuff is a conspiracy theorist, where is the evidence, are you out of your mind, what science did you study.. yadda yadda. That is what money does. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2023/01/20/green-revolution-fuelling-environmental-destruction/?WT.mc_id=e_DM97043&WT.tsrc=email&etype=Loy_Dig_Acq_Tue_4Dto7D&utmsource=email&utm_medium=Loy_Dig_Acq_Tue_4Dto7D20230124&utm_campaign=DM97043
  9. If you read my previous post on here, you will see that I said I see nothing wrong with electric cars in an urban setting - let people decide if they want to buy them. But that's not what is happening is it , everyone has to buy them.. which makes no sense whatsoever, plus add all the climate nonsense.. Let me copy and paste again in case you missed. TfL is planning to introduce 65km of new 20mph speed limits in September within the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Lewisham, Southwark, Wandsworth, Merton, Bromley and Lambeth... This forms an important part of the Mayor’s Vision Zero plan and we will continue to work with colleagues in boroughs to keep improving the safety of London’s roads. This isn't about the climate anymore, it's removing the democratic society of which we used to live in. I'm trying to figure out the mindset of folks who think nothing untoward is going on
  10. Anything that guy said isn't strictly wrong, if you are as wealthy as Bill Gates you will have the means to disguise any illegal activities with ease and get away with it because we all know politicians love back handed agreements, judge's too for that matter. 5 million dollars to Bill is a few rounds of beers Anyone who thinks everything happening since 2019 is normal really is blinkered and clearly just playing along with whatever they are asked to do.
  11. TfL to slap 20mph limit on 65km more of London roads in September TfL is planning to introduce 65km of new 20mph speed limits in September within the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Lewisham, Southwark, Wandsworth, Merton, Bromley and Lambeth... This forms an important part of the Mayor’s Vision Zero plan and we will continue to work with colleagues in boroughs to keep improving the safety of London’s roads Skulduggery of the highest quality this. It's gone way past net zero now. How better to get control of people than convince them that the planet is crashing and burning, Govs are using net zero it seems to create carbon credits, basically tax on your wealth and have more control of people - it's only a matter of time before cbdc takes over, that too is a knock on effect from net zero as are Electric cars and all this ULEZ,LTN nonsense. If traffic was this bad you would imagine Mumbai to be empty as everyone would surely be stone dead from the traffic
  12. The net zero narrative is all trash - it all boils down to corruption - if combustion engine cars were as bad as they are made out to be and considering they are out since the 1800s you would expect people to be dropping off like flies - but no, the population of the world is going out of control. Peoples freedom is getting taken away by this net zero drivel, likewise forced to get electric cars they cant afford and restricting their movement Have a look at this - Bill Gates, a Philanthropist or a crook? you decide....! Politicians work for the government, but in actual fact they can work for anyone if they are paid enough - its not like they are clocking in and out under the watchful eye of a manager or have their comms and internet activity throttled https://thelibertyforum.org/posts/intelligence-for-the-people-the-philanthropists-playbook
  13. Sorry man but it's clear that there's underlying skulduggery going on for years, this is more... Thousands of British jobs at risk after Switzerland's largest bank UBS agrees to buy troubled rival Credit Suisse for $2bn: Swiss banks employ 11,000 staff in London with heavy cuts now feared. Everything orchestrated - it's not like govs are telling you anything that your not supposed to know. The only thing I'm angry with is how easily everything is getting done, pretty much the same way govs can ban combustion engine cars in a two minute speech.
  14. Missing the point - dont think so What is going on since around covid - sorry but you do need to mention it, its been a trigger point for everything - resetting your brain to accept everything you are told as the new normal - its clear dastardly things are going on and we seem to have a divided society - on one side we have folks who think everything is fine or the reasons for everything happpening is just and acceptable and on the other half we have folks wondering what is going on. All the high street shops, banks, post offices, and so forth closing are blaming covid, the recession, the war, climate change -- they wont be needed as according to the UN summit goals the world in 2030 will be a digital world- EVs are part of the scheme - I dont see them as Electric and moreso Digital. When Airports gradually close between now and 2035 they too will blame the recession, the war, climate change... you see where I am going here - what will be left is superhubs that the elite can frequent who are exempt from the draconian measures taking hold of the world.
  15. Electric generally better? Eh.. combustion engine cars have made up around 80/90 percent of automotive cars since the 1800s. Lithium batteries have nasty chemicals, nickel, cobalt and many more than you don't really need to get involved with, hence the workers dying in Indonesia. A single electric car had around half a tonne of this stuff. I'm an Electronic Engineer, I worked and designed commercial products with lithium batteries, I have had dealings with Panasonic and LG (chem) and a host of Chinese battery manufacturers and have visited the manufacturing plants themselves. I find myself repeating myself quite a bit here it seems... Ultimately it's folly to think that the automotive industry will be 100 electric cars in 30 years time with the same annual sales as what combustion engine cars were selling, there won't be sufficient natural resources to make them things
  16. Thats all they are, I wonder how the UK compares to other countries for getting shafted.... I have just paid my VED, it came up to £630 for the year - before it goes up any more, my milage is about 6k per annum
  17. My VED is up on April 1st(April fool? sadly not) that's £630 down the pan but it's better than having an electric vehicle. Most of the nasty crap in the air is Nox from diesel, anyone with a functional nose can smell it a mile away
  18. There's nothing logical about banning combustion engine cars accountable for less than one percent of global greenhouse gases for electric cars with that half tonne of lithium batteries baggage per vehicle and which most people cannot afford. What's difficult to understand here? Even before this EV bs kicked off almost every car on the road was on finance of some description and them cars cost a fraction of EVs. Banning them in the UK is bad enough but this is global, and the UK is apparently an affluent wealthy nation.
  19. When electric cars aren't made with half a tonne of lithium batteries I'll reconsider, until then your deluded to think they are good for the planet. Dirty oil has been used since the 1800s and we seem to be doing just fine, considering this global environmental impact in the UK is less than 1 percent. Obviously the automotive industry isn't the problem here.
  20. The problem with electric cars and it's pretty obvious is that it's pricing large swathes of people off the road, coupled with the less than green credentials of electric cars and the contribution of combustion engine cars to the global greenhouse gas footprint. I'm on this earth 49 years and during that time I've learnt many a thing, one being to never trust a politician, ever - they are the same the world over. Talking about adapting to life changes, there's adapting and there's clearly anti democratic change's that we are seeing taking shape that go way past what's deemed normal.
  21. The best BMWs were 6 pots, its the only type of BMW I would ever have
  22. The skulduggery goes on at night all over the country knocking listed building, 100 year old trees, putting up flower beds, squiggle lines, concrete, cameras and general climate bs - it would be funny if it was a joke
  23. https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/will-the-2030-ban-on-petrol-and-diesel-be-pushed-back-heres-why-car-dealers-bosses-think-it-will/281367 I love the way your guy comments Tom Barnard, editor of EV website Electrifying.com, told Car Dealer that he thinks it may already be too late to change the date of the ban – and doing so would be ‘crazy’. ‘Car makers have a long history of trying to fight against legislation that will cost them money, even if it’s for the greater good,’ he told Car Dealer. ‘Think of CFCs in air conditioning, lead in petrol, catalysts and asbestos brakes. Change is difficult, but they adapt and move on, and it would seem crazy to go back.’ Barnard said it would be ‘unfair for the heel-draggers’ to push the deadline back, but that he thought hybrids could be the saving grace for the industry. Do these guys think batteries grow on trees? I was with some friends last weekened and EVs were discused a bit, when I said a EV has about 400/500kg of lithium batteries per car one guy said - really, i didnt know that. Tom should have said, hang on a minute combustion engines cars account for less than 1 percent of global greenhouse gases in the UK - what is the problem here exactly. With EVs no one is ever goiing to tell you anything but what they want you to know And this is a great article as posted before https://www.wired.co.uk/article/workers-are-dying-in-the-ev-industrys-tainted-city
  24. Gone quiet - but people can’t help but see the 'banking crisis' - its more skullduggery - and goes back to what I said long ago about crashing global economies - a meltdown - starting in the USA of course with its dollar in order to bring in a digital currency - the BoE have been developing this for years as have all the western economies, all they need is an excuse to bring it out. Everything essentially goes back to that UN Rio Summit meeting in 1992 - unfortunately many can’t see past this nonsense going on which is all to do with carbon credits and control of your movement, wealth and freedom - the folks saying what is wrong with digital currency just have no idea - EVs are just part of this future taking shape - like people need to spend 50k to get from A to B. Govs have essentially used Net Zero as an excuse to get whatever they want and people are sleep walking into a dystopian matrix
  25. Number of cars without MOTs on UK roads is set to hit all-time high as cost-of-living crisis bites, research shows.. If people can't afford a MOT there isn't much hope getting an electric car - it's a control thing absolutely. No idea who that Lee guy is but you can see articles on the bad side of them all over, it's just that it won't make mainstream media, just like that tainted city on wired - will that be on the BBC, no chance.
