  1. You need to apply the reload 1 hour after the CQUK .To protect whilst curing
  2. Well I didn't know that. I didn't have a clue about the odo button. I'll have a play tomorrow. Thanks Steve.
  3. You don't need sealants to keep the wheels looking good. They just help.
  4. And what about the reload? Gtechniq C5 application is exactly how you just described. CQUK isn't quite how you just described.
  5. I have the feeling you haven't used cquk if you think it's easier to use than C5
  6. The CQUK is brilliant stuff, but I'd rather keep it to the paintwork
  7. Here's a courteous photo of what you get in the kit.
  8. You mean this stuff that I've just opened so I can take this photo, ready to go onto my new Lexus And it's the uk edition which has some leniency towards moisture To be honest, if your going to make a hash of any of the two, the cquartz is going to be the one.
  9. If your going to do the front and backs you may as well go with C5. If you mess it up then your not worthy of holding a micro fibre towel. I don't know anybody that has managed to mess it up. It is a consumer product not a pro product.
  10. 15ml of the C5 is plenty to do all 4 wheels and you'd still have some left. As said above make sure the wheel is very clean before applying. It's very simple to use, if you can take the wheel off to do the rear of the wheel then that would be the ideal. You simply wipe it on and then wipe it off. Then keep the wheel dry for 24 hours and then done. Hang a bin bag with a bungy over each wheel if you can. I'm lucky as I have a few sets of wheels I rotate so leave the wheels in the garage overnight. if you only do the fronts, then only the fronts will be protected, nothing drastic will happen to the wheels. it is really very simple to use.
  11. I use google music on the nexus 5x. It automatically fires the app up when it connects to the phone (Don't need to open the app each time) and can skip tracks and show album info etc.
  12. Standard tint from factory is 70% light transmission (min.)
  13. Yes, the white f sport is the mrs's. Nope the windows aren't tinted on that either, you'd be forgiven for thinking they are because she never cleans the damn thing. I think that's a good idea to go a shade lighter on the rear window than the sides. Either way, looking at your photos it really does make it look nice.
  14. It's the only pic I've got at the moment from my phone, I'll get a better one tomorrow. What level tint did you go for in the end Rich? I've got limo tint in my disco and I agree if I was to do it again I would go lighter. The IS300 is a dark interior too .
  15. I picked mine up today, I'll have to get it booked in for tints. Especially after seeing yours.
  16. Looks great, makes the sonic titanium colour look brill.
  17. That looks like he's done a great job. Especially without having to repaint the whole wheel and done within an hour.
  18. Not just Lexus owners, they're pretty anal about detailing on the Range Rover sport forum too. Even starting their own topic on it. I've ended up with a garage full of shampoos, waxes, cleansers, polishes and sealants etc, I've got 3 DA machines and still looking at new ones that come out. It can become quite addictive. And expensive
  19. Have you always used this independent for the servicing on your 300h, or is this the first time now your your car is approaching 3 yr old? Are you extending your warranty too ?
  20. You will be surprised what contamination can be in the paint of a new car that's been transported from Japan ..
  21. Agreed, I've lost count the amount of times I've dropped a clay bar. However, I've yet to drop a mitt, as they are wrapped around my hand. But yes, both great and give great results
  22. Try a clay mitt Rich, so much easier and quicker and the results I find are just as good as a standard clay bar for removing the fallout and contaminants
