  1. Had my meter full a couple of times now
  2. +1, Also, by paying for access, the bulletin will explain how to check current programme version to determine required software.
  3. Is it just me? I can't find the terms and conditions section. It might be because I'm on an iPad
  4. Thanks, but, that link just keeps putting me into a loop back here.
  5. Just out of interest, so I don't get any telling offs. Where are the rules regarding buying and selling? And all things gold member/non gold member?
  6. Hello. Where's the photos?
  7. TSB stands for technical service bulletin. The latest one for the IS300h was released on the 5th December for the Lexus Media Display. The latest update brings the system upto level RC4. This includes fixes for loss of favourite contacts and voice tags as well as other bug improvements including Bluetooth phone and audio streaming.
  8. Looking at that photo, I'd have to agree with haylands, it would be worth a shot at polishing out before going to a paint shop, it would definitely reduce it. I've managed to successfully polish similar to a good result.
  9. Thanks, I know the hunter alignment well as I have it done a few times a year. I'll keep my eye out as it'll save me a fortune, usually costs me between £40-60 a throw
  10. Mark. which Kwik Fit is this? Do they still have this offer? And do they do a good job of the alignment? (being Kwik Fit). It seems to be an incredibly good price, they'd get sick of seeing me with my LR.
  11. Try here. Some useful steps how to find the correct type http://bfy.tw/9BuB.
  12. I haven't, Both my Lexus will be long gone before it's needed. I do use dinitrol on my land rover.
  13. I usually go for the dilution method of sucking some out of the reservoir with a bastor or similar and replacing with fresh over the course of a few days.
  14. I think he just wants the switched live for the DRL function of these lamps, the fogs act independently , they're ce marked and fine for uk roads. I have a set that I was going to fit for somebody but didn't in the end.
  15. Hi James, I've not replaced a wheel on a GS but I have on other vehicles and they're all pretty similar. Somebody hopefully will be along to help specifically for the GS, but I'm pretty confident this is correct for the 2002 GS. First, ensure your wheels are straight pointing ahead. Next disconnect the negative from your battery and leave the car for 30 mins. After the 30 mins , on the GS I believe there are two torx bolts that need undoing under covers on the lower steering wheel covers ( they don't need removing, just loosening until the head of the bolt is flush with the cover) now you can remove the airbag and disconnect the wires. Now disconnect the switch control wires from the rotary coupler ( Clock-spring ). Now you can undo the nut securing the wheel to the column, mark the position of the wheel to the column and remove the wheel ( you might need a puller ) Once the wheel is off it is a good idea to tape the rotary coupler in place to prevent it from accidentally spinning out of position whilst waiting to prepare the new wheel for fitting. When about to fit the new wheel, remove the tape and align the new steering wheel to the marks you previously made and then re-fit in reverse of above.
  16. I've just remembered, I also took the IS200 back because the 'pop out' head light washer jets weren't 'popping out'. They promptly took the car into the workshop, and told me they'd have a look immediately. 10 minutes later, they returned the car and told me they've got them working. I asked what was wrong with them, ...... My washer fluid was low.
  17. I've ordered two new IS's in the last 20 months from them, Alan and Jason sorted me with the first one for the Mrs and both of them we're superb. Last September I picked up the second and was looked after by Wayne, had some good chats with him, mostly non purchase related and he was a great bloke. I've had a few calls from him to see how things are going. Admittedly, I've had nothing go wrong with either of the cars yet so not had to get back in touch but I feel confident things would get sorted promptly. When I purchased my first IS200 in 2001 from them I did have a few things that required attention that always got done promptly under warranty. It had a leaking water bypass pipe that was replaced, a new set of wheels due to corrosion, 3, yes 3 new radio/cd players (the 6cd multi changer was problematic back then) and then I had some paint complaints sorted too. Now a little story. The winter of 2002 I skidded on black ice off a dual carriageway and smashed it through somebody's garden wall at 6 o'clock in the morning. When I called the RAC they asked where they should take it, I asked them to dump it at Lexus in Chester as it was undrivable and I didn't want to get it moved twice ( I was only in my twenties then so didn't know what to do with it). Now, I'd love to have seen the face on the first person that went into work that morning at the relatively new dealership and seen a 2 year old IS smashed up. I gave them a quick phone call in the morning when it opened and although they didn't have a body shop repair facility, they assisted getting it sorted at one of there authorised repair facilities with the insurance. Somewhere, on an old memory card, I still have the photos of the crash, I'll have to dig them out, I think the repair bill was somewhere in the region of £9K. Back in 2002 that was a lot of money. So, I can't complain really with the service from them.
  18. It doesn't sound like your having much luck Geoff. But yes, it does sound like they haven't reset the service schedule reminder.
  19. I've only got good things to say about Lexus Chester, I've used them since I bought my first Lexus from them in 2001 to this day.
