  1. The new one has arrived early. I've got the option to take it now or wait until Sep. I've opted to leave it as I'll be away for most of this month and I may as well get the new plate in four weeks time.
  2. Andrew, I'd suggest getting your dtc's read. But it would be also worth unplugging your ecu and checking for water ingress.
  3. Only the one is300h, which is the Mrs .. The Jag will go when my 300h gets delivered in September
  4. Driving a jag and a discovery, but got the Mrs is300h to pinch every now and then to keep the fuel bills down. I just don't get it that often Rich
  5. Yep, f sport. It's still not due until 22nd September the C5 will still do its stuff on the front of the wheels.
  6. Fantastic. So glad you're enjoying it. They're great cars, looking forward to mine now after reading that. If only SWMBO looked after hers as much as you, hers is a right tip inside, with glitter, sand and nail varnish everywhere Regarding the C5, I swap my wheels between summer and winter on my Disco each year and give them a coat front and back, it makes the rears of the wheels so much easier to clean between wheel changes, no need for ironx or anything else, just a bit of good shampoo and they're gleaming. For the front of the wheels, in between wheel changes I top with poorboys wheel sealant. The brake dust still builds up, but, makes it a doddle to clean.
  7. Rich, a coating of Gtechniq C5 will help keep the wheels easy to clean for the next 12 months. I swear by it.
  8. In the old days (year 2000), when I had my first is200, the sat nav maps were on discs. Lexus used to allow you to request a loan of the latest map for a period of a month or two free of charge (Just postage required) in case you were travelling. How times move on
  9. That'll be the first thing to be done to mine when it arrives in September. I feel naked driving a car without the ugly kid glass
  10. It looks superb, brilliant choice. Still a while until mine arrives but, SWMBO is away in Spain this last week so been taking full advantage of hers I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Roll on Monday
  11. Still another 2 and a half months until mine is delivered
  12. The vehicle actually uses the acceleration sensor, yawrate sensor, steering sensor, speed sensor and stop brake assembly through upto 4 ECUs to send can bus signal to the absorber control ecu and then to each of the 4 shock absorber control actuators. Whether or not it makes and difference to the ride is down to opinion.
  13. The official line : An Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system is used. The AVS controls the damping force of the shock absorber assemblies for all 4 wheels in accordance with the driving conditions and road surface conditions. In this way, it achieves a comfortable ride, excellent driveability and high levels of stability. The AVS is a semi-active type of suspension. Its absorber control ECU estimates the vehicle conditions based on the signals from the sensors and the switches. Then, the absorber control ECU actuates the absorber control actuator, varies the flow of the oil, and controls the damping force. By operating the drive mode select, the driver can select 2 types of damping forces for the shock absorber assemblies.
  14. No, no sunroof. Just a bog standard f-sport in azure blue. Not even leather seats.
  15. Does this mean you've ordered one also Rich? A few weeks... Lucky you, I've got a delivery date of mid September
  16. It looks superb, I've just ordered a 300h in the same colour. Stunning.
